Petit déjeuner sur le rooftop avec un des plus beaux point de vue sur la plage d'Essouira. Très beau Riad, meublé avec recherche. Personnel très attentionné.

Excellent stay, lovely people and great service.

Location was perfect, mid way between the beach and the shops. Lovely people, very friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to sample the restaurant but we did have a Hammam which was excellent.

Breakfast was the same on each day, could have added ham/eggs etc. Was mostly bread/pastry.

No better place to experience Essaouira and its Medina

This is a stunning Riad, set at the edge of the Medina by the fishing port. The rooms are marvelous! The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. Youseff, Jalilla, the owners are charming and helpful. A special thanks to Youseff for his kindness and willingness to share his family with us. He arranged for Gnaoua musicians to come in one night. The pictures of Dar L'Oussia are great, but they cannot do justice to the reality. Being just inside the Medina through Bab Sbaa, you get to interact with the seaport, fortifications, open areas (usually music playing in the open air), and then into the Medina. Its design by a French prisoner ensures easier access and walking. It was very cool and breezy in June. We are planning to come back again. This is not our first trip to Essaouira and won't be our last! Thanks Youseff, Jalilla, other staff and the owners for their kindness.

Heaven on earth...

"Heaven on earth".... everything under an open roof ! Great terasse , beautiful dining room. Awesome hamam and massage by Atika !!!! Just across street from the beach , not really in the medina....but at the entrance off. Perfect !!! Great staff and service . A small walk to bus Supratours.

Lots of stairs to the terasse = Good exercise.!

Superb

We stayed in Dar L'Oussia for 10 days. It is a charming and comfortable hotel . The central court yard is attractive wand welcoming, the decor is traditional with a modern twist, and the hotel is extremely well kept. The staff are attentive and helpful. We ate dinner several times in the beautiful restaurant where the food is good and the service impeccable. Our room was large and comfortable with beach views and the roof top terrace where breakfast is served has a choice of seating and relaxing areas in sun and shade. The small street is quiet and just at the edge of the medina, so close to the restaurants and shops and also to the beach.We would highly recommend this hotel.

Location was good, just inside the medina. Very nice rooftop terrace.

The underfloor heating that was mentioned in the hotel blurb was only in some rooms, not in mine. Breakfasts were a little disappointing in variety.

Beautiful hotel in the Medina

Beautiful hotel in the Medina, friendly staff. Nice roof deck and the Hammam experience was very good.

The rooms could benefit from more lighting :)

Great location, clean hotel, friendly staff, lacks some charm, but overall a really great stay.

This hotel is in the very best location in Essaouira. It is at the start of the Medina, the beach promenade and the fish market. We loved walking or jogging along the beach every morning, then wandering the streets of the Medina in the afternoon.

Morocco is an interior designer's dream - wood carvings, beautiful tiles, rugs and lamps to choose from - and this hotel takes no advantage of it. It could be so beautiful with just a bit of effort! Each night we opened the windows to cool our room down, then a few hours into our sleep got up to close the windows to shut out the noise.

We love Essaouira, and love staying at Dar L'Ouissia...even with all the stairs to get to our room!

Location, location, location! Close proximity to souk! Overall, Dar L'Oussia is a lovely hotel with very good staff, great breakfast (even though we wish there was something different served daily), WONDERFUL mojitos (I THINK made by bartender Hamid, but not sure of his name).

With climate changing worldwide, it was a bit hot in our room at night...too warm to fall asleep, but the staff brought us a fan, which helped. Open windows are great for cool nights, but we also had a couple of mosquitos visit us through the night as well.

I loved the room, it's details, spaciousness, cleanness, comfortable bed. I loved the rooftop terrace with views of the beach and the harbour, and having breakfast and lunch there. I also would like to standout the kindness and professionalism of the staff. I had a very pleasant stay thank you.

Good location...love Essaouira, but be mindful of the room that you get!

Location was a short walk to shopping and restaurants in Essaouira, as well as to the beach. Full breakfast served every morning. Manager and Staff was helpful and friendly.

The room that we were given when we first checked in was AWFUL! It had a terrible, musty odor, and the TV did not work. My husband spoke with someone at the office, and they offered us another room. Much better this time, but we felt that they should not have allowed anyone to stay in the first room until they got rid of the musty odor. Perhaps it was mold! Don't know but it was really bad. Cannot imagine that they thought it was OK.
