Beautiful view and garden, nice food (vegan options), cute bungalows.
Very challenging to get there by car, need a 4x4 and best someone who knows the way as googlemaps doesn't know the easiest route. Rooms, bathrooms and beds are small, bit challenging for tall people.

Perfect location and amazing view
Very firendly and caring staff
Rubish bin had not been emptied from the previous guest's.
Maybe a mishap.

road access is difficult and swimming area could be improved

Wonderful view.
This place has great potential given its location but many things shall be improved first.
The hotel is not there where it is on the map! Completely different location! Difficult to find + a terrible road in the end, only suitable for larger allroad cars in the dry season.
Cattle market in the morning - you hear terrible screams and at first we thought it was a slaughterhouse but it turned out to be a market. Horrible.
The bathroom is very small and the floor is not even in the cabin.
Good breakfast but not the dinner, pizza is not pizza and generally, food can be improved.

The room is very basic. Breakfast good

the location is wonderful
the restaurant is offal very bad service very limited dishes no vegetables vegan and vegetarian have really big issues accessibility very difficult due to very bad gravel road conditions

The atmosphere is very calm and serene, perfect for relaxation. There is a nice spot to sit at the lake and watch the sunset. Dinner was delicious and is served at a restaurant with a nice view. They help organize boat trips right from the hotel, if that tickles your fancy.
It's not so much things that I didn't like, more expectation management. Internet reception is poor, even 4G is hit or miss (for those that have to be connected). The room is quite basic (photos are accurate), so when it rains or you are otherwise stuck in the room, I could imagine that this might become a bummer depending on the view from your room

the location and the restaurant are stunning
The dirt road to get there is horrible, we are like we didn’t break our car (our friends did).
the huts are very stuffy, they smell like mold. the bathroom are very very old and not very clean. no nets in the windows so you either breath in the mold or you get eaten by mosquitoes .

Nice place and friendly staff
If you want, they arrange a boat trip for you. But at their price. And that is very expensive. (300 dollars). One cannot leave from their shore with another boatman

The place is beautifull and quiet.
The room is very simple and tiny
You absolutly need a 4x4 car to arrived to the location ans the road is not correctly referenced by Google Maps!
We call the hotel in order to have some help and they wasn't helpfull
More road signe is necessary!
And the guide service Booking at the reception wasn't fair. We made a deal and the guide don't respect it in order to have more money! The tour was more expensive as the room with breakfast and meal!
Don't Book with the reception

- Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Set in a beautiful garden.
- Bungalow was basic but spacious and with a great view on the garden and Lake Kivu.
- Cozy restaurant overlooking Lake Kivu, serving delicious breakfast, food and drinks.
- Activities such as boat rides can be arranged through the accommodation.
- The place is doing a lot of things well and has a lot of potential, but some of it remains untapped for now: there is no Wi-Fi in the bungalows, and the water pressure is very weak.
- Located rather far away from Karongi, and only accessible by a very bumpy (and during the rainy season probably very muddy) dirt road.

Very nice resort, incredible view, very good food in restaurant, staff very helpful, whatever requested. The chalets simple, but very nice with balcony with view to lake and green landscape.
It is challenge to reach by car the resort, the access road is in bad condition. SUV needed for access

The hotel is located in midtown, the stuff are amazing specially the ladies in the ground floor who helped me with the taxies and the luggages, the room is very big and well equipped. My reservation was including a breakfast and the hotel offered us a shuttle to the airport for free! TBH, I didn't even expect to receive all this good for the price I paid.
The beds are nice but not super comfortable, I stayed there for one night so it was OK and the cleanliness can be improved.

Clean
Based on other reviews mentioning the lack of warm water, I specifically asked for a.room with warm water. Internet was described as available in the rooms. We arrived and there was no warm water, no internet (for "technical reasons")
Also, the location is so so. The whole lake area is beautiful and the camp looks straight at the only power line...

Beautiful views. Cosy huts. Attentive staff. Great swimming in Lake Kivu. Really lovely place to chill. We really enjoyed watching the fishing boats head out at sunset with the fishermen singing and the interesting birdlife.
Lots of the food and drink items on the menu were unavailable.

Everything is as advertised. Friendly staff, the view of the lake is beautiful from the rooms, Peaceful and quiet place. And so many more.
The water pressure in bathroom was low and the bathroom is quite tiny.

The beautifully located front of the Kivu Lake with a view taken out form a dream. The cabins are very charming and separated from each other giving you more privacy. Staff is very friendly and kind.

Beautiful view of lake Kivu, very good restaurant and gentle staff, especially Eric and JoJo that were always available and kind. Rooms are pretty comfortable.
Unfortunately we have had problems with water pressure in Tilapia room for either hit and cold water. We communicate to the staff during check-out feedback and they said they were improving the hydraulic system.
