The place is very nice, close to the beach, calm, relaxing, looks well maintained and all!
Except guys from the restaurant and exceptionally one guy at the reception who welcomed us when we arrived, others need to learn how to behave.
They asked for an extra 5€ per 12h for AC while it should be included in the initial price.
At first they didn't inform when I told them AC was not working, then after a few hours going and forth, they told me I need to add extra money, even after showing the booking facilities from the app. I had to address 3 different people from the reception to get a clear explanation of what was happening.
The pool was not clean!
The wifi too weak!
Only 2 channels on the TV!

Basin was useful, Because it was not safe to use the ocean beach
Room is dark even during the sunny day. faucet and shower in the bathroom were dirty as if they had never been cleaned. Breakfast consisted from only 3 meals: Beans, Sausages, Pancakes during all 6 days . They pushed me to pay 30EUR more threatening to move me to a room with a faulty sewer with a terrible smell and no access to Wi-Fi. At the same time only 3-4 rooms were occupied from 56 available. During check-out their card terminal did not work. (By the way in The Gambia majority of terminals and ATMs does not process MasterCards issued by Europian Banks. Please take this in notice). When I was pushed to pay in EUR cash they increased the cost of bill by 5%. I am sure reception take this extra money in the pocket. So NEVER book this hotel unless You are ready to accept all these risks

Completely fine bit more high-end hotel. Massive room, even a couch so we could have technically been more people.
Great view, great pool, and good Breakfast (even though we got told of from not making an extra sandwich for later, wops).
Close to the beach and to the Junction to get out and get either public transport, taxis or small shops.
Easy check-in AND YES they do take card! Which you will barely find anywhere in West Africa or at least in Senegal and Gambia. If you travel low budget.
It it very turistic and secluded. So if you're out for just hanging around the hotel area (which is massive) and getting a relaxing vacay, great choice. However, it is very disconnected from actual Gambia which is something I'm always out for when travelling. (However for these two nights, the thought was to just spoil ourselves and be alone, which was perfect at this hotel)

We loved Lemon Creek. The hotel grounds are stunning you wake up in the morning listening to birds and the sea. It was extremely quiet when we visited, we have a 4 year old and the first week we were there it was just her in the pool but she was made welcome by the pool attendant, still there was a wholesome family vibe about the hotel and the second week being half term more children arrived.
We found the hotel overall to be good value for what we paid would definitely visit again.

Oceanview was perfect. The staff was accommodating to our needs and the restaurant served delicious meals all day long. Enjoyed the stay and I will be back again.
Beach access security at the gate could be better for the safety of the guest.

The view from the room was amazing with foliage and beach blended together makes for great photos. The staff is very accommodating to every need and friendly at all times.
Security can be more important at the beach access. This will ease the customers stay a little.

location is good as it has beach front
AC was mentioned on booking.com but hotel people denied giving AC in room. They asked additional payment. There was no TV in room. Hot water was also not avaliable

Lovely building but in need of renovation. The gardens are beautiful with many flowers attracting buttterflies. We enjoyed watching the monkeys at play.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
The poolside was not clean. The pool itself was taken over every day by groups of badly behaved unsupervised local children who were not resident in the hotel. This made it impossible for us to relax at the pool.
Though staff on the whole were friendly some appeared bored and disinterested and service was lacking
There was no hot water and the toilet was not securely fixed to the floor making it wobbly

The hotel`s loction is its best feature - overlooking a long sandy beach away from the busy, sometimes noisy Senegambia main tourist area. The superior room we had was a good size with super king sized bed, a seating area, small fridge, safe, wardrobe, a/c (10 Euros per day extra) and separate bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The bed and seating area were both comfortable. The balcony was another good feature; it was lovely to sit out there in the cool of the evening or early morning listening to the waves crashing on the beach.
The breakfast selection was very basic when we first arrived - only 6 of the 56+ rooms were occupied - but as the number of guests increased so did the breakfast slection.
A lunch or an evening meal could also be purchased in the restaurant; we never tried the lunches but the evening meal selection was reasonable, tasty and at a good price.
Like most Gambian hotels, expect things to be less than perfect. The hotel as a whole is looking a little tired and in need of renovation but after having very little income from guests for the past two years due to the pandemic the usual maintance budget will have been cut so it is understandable. As we left work was well underway to "tart" the place up but there was still lots to do.
Our first room had a loose toilet that let sewage smell into the bathroom and the expected kettle was missing, Luckily, a better postioned room became available the next day and we were transferred there - its kettle was also missing though.
The expected change in wind direction normally around mid-November was late and the humidity and temperatures were both high so I had to pay extra for a/c but the a/c`s remote control was broken and temperature was stuck at 24C - I would have preferred a cooler room temperature for sleep in. I mentioned the issue a few times but we weren`t able to synchronise finding the right person to fix the problem with access to the room.
The locals like to visit the beach on a Saturday evening and party - you might find the music goes on until the early hours so this may or may not be an issue.

The resort itself and the staff, ready to get out of their way anytime
We only stayed 2 short nights, one on our arrival and the other for our departure from Banjul airport 2 weeks later. The resort might seem a little ran down but these guys have done well to survive a tough year (Covid-19)

My 4th stay felt like ‘coming home’. Friendly staff!
A cosy bar is missing...
