Un paraiso

La habitación era increíble, cama super cómoda, a pesar de estar en la playa estaba impecable de limpieza! Las instalaciones del hotel perfectas, piscina de temperatura ideal y unos cócteles muy muy bien preparados!!!! Personal absolutamente maravilloso y amable y pendientes de todo.

Nada que ver con el hotel, lo más incómodo son los masais que te persiguen nada más sales a la playa para intentar venderte lo que sea. Son muy insistentes

Superbe établissement. Tout est fait pour que vous vous sentiez bien. Nous logions sur la partie la Luna, dans des bungalows en bois, très propre et confortable. Tout est très bien pensé et pratique. Vous êtes au bord de la piscine, les pieds dans un sable très doux. Le personnel est d’une extrême gentillesse. Toujours le sourire et un petit mot gentil. Le service est parfait. De la réception du 1er jour jusqu’à notre départ, tout à été fait pour nous satisfaire. La restauration est également excellente, petit déjeuner très copieux et vraiment bon, il y en pour tous les goûts et la carte du restaurant est variée avec le petit plus du jour. Nous avons fait ce voyage pour mes 60 ans, et nous avons passé 8 nuits sur place et nous ne regrettons vraiment pas le choix de cet établissement. Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance.

Zweiter Besuch auf Sansibar in 2023 und endlich hervorragende Unterkunft gefunden!

Zimmer sehr groß und komfortabel mit den erwartbaren kleineren Mängeln, wie z. B. Wassereintritt am Boden von außen bei heftigem Regen oder verkehrtherum angebrachte und damit nutzlose Wandhaken im Duschbereich. Moderne Waschraumausstattung incl. Duscharmaturen. Perfekter Strand. Genial konzipierter und immer perfekt sauberer riesiger Pool im "La Luna". Sehr guter Poolservice. Unkomplizierte und großzügige Trinkwasserversorgung.

Wenn man nicht ausdrücklich das "Don't disturb please" - Schild nutzt muß man damit rechnen, dass das Servicepersonal den Raum für diverse Verrichtungen erstürmt, unabhängig davon, ob und in welchen Zustand man sich darin befindet. Die Klappstühle vor den Hütten sind z. T. reparaturbedürftig.

Nice stay for a couple of days

Lovely pool. Lovely staff. Nice beach and small beach cafes very close by.

No glass in the small windows, only wooden shutters. We could hear the next door neighbours snoring at night. Lots of ants etc as the room wasn't fully sealed.

only good for relaxation and clear your mind

staff were friendly and helpful , cleaning regularly ( was clean). spa staff are very good .

very isolated not safe to go out you can not do anything except staying in ( good for relaxation) . you can not find transportation around ( only through hotel and it’s very very expensive compared to normal prices ) . can not go out and eat ( only in hotel Restaurant and there is only few food options/limited menu) . not safe to walk on the beach around specially at evening and they warn you about it when you first arrive . if you would like to stay just in chill ,relax and get isolated and if you welling to pay more than usual prices then it’s the perfect choice.

One of the best resorts I visited

Beautiful resort, our bungalow was super clean and what I notice when I first walk in was the smell which remind me of expensive spa. Super relaxing room, dim lights and ac. Stuff was so friendly and polite we felt very welcome there.

So perfect, would stay there next time!

Everything amazing, huge room (Full Moon Bungalow) but a bit dark sometimes, the rest everything perfect, perfect beach, perfect pool and surroundings. Food very good too, we ate there almost everyday, at breakfast we could order some avocato toasts and omelets and banana pancakes...so good, i recomend this hotel to everyone, wish i was back there again..and i will be back! thanks

As you know this beach area has the lowest tide there is in the island, so i was prepared for it, during the high tide perfect beach with a relly mushy thin sand (sometimes weird to walk), but when it goes low tide you just have to enjoy more the pool!

Absolutely amazing!

An absolute treat! While Zanzibar already is a wonderful place to stay and discover - warm and welcoming, magical and breathtaking - everybody at Mwezi just underlined all of that threefold. The team is so incredibly friendly (and professional!!), vibing with a genuine feeling of joy, interest and warmth. Thank you EVERYBODY (if not for privacy reasons, I would write down everybody's name to thank you personally....and how much I appreciated also the effort made to remember all of ours :) And an extra shoutout to the breakfast & kitchen crew - everything was DELICIOUS :)

The bungalow and the decoration of all the Hotel is very beautiful. Good pool, with a lot of space. Nice Staff!

The bungalow was open, so you had some visitors (birds) during the night. Could have more activities like a playground, a room game or a gym.

Loved it!

The vibe of the resort is amazing - extremely relaxing, friendly and homey. We especially loved the swimming pool and restaurant areas - both designed with such great attention to detail. Staff is super nice and welcoming.

Food in the restaurant was ok, but could be improved both in terms of taste and variety of choice.

Exceptional

It's a wonderful place. The bungalows are awesome. A bit dark inside, but the atmosphere is great... white sand everywhere, thus you need flip-flops or similar only if you go outside the area for some trip. People are very friendly and helpful; you can completely switch off and enjoy your vacation in a wonderful place. This time did a lot of trips to enjoy the island, but next time, we will just come directly to this resort and don't move; just enjoying relaxing and refreshing mind and body.

Only the beach was difficult to enjoy... It's east coast, so you can enjoy the sea only for few hours a day and as everywhere in Zanzibar, local strangers trying to sell you everything, but in this area just few of them and you can always stay in beautiful garden and only jump for a swim to the beach.

the resort was the worst one we had ever stayed.

there’s only thing I would like to give positive comment it’s the staff from bar and dinning area. they are very friendly and polite to help guests. every morning the breakfast time I had was energetic and warm welcome from restaurants staff.

The room is super dark! super ! they don’t have much light in the room, so it basically shower in darkness. the location is very close to a local club, which they played strong and loud music from 11 pm to 1:30 pm we couldn’t sleep well. our guests had been harassed by the pool side security inside the resort which result we had to inform local police station. the security asked the guests for photos, inappropriately asked for phone number and touched the guests. we had a very uncomfortable experience for our stay. the manager was very unprofessional and not taking good care of guests feeling.

perfect place to feel In the nature and relax.

Very quiet and relaxing location. Maybe a touch too quiet.. accommodation is unique, in these cottages with 2 rooms and an attic. all is very traditional, with great attention to details. Very clean despite the lack of glass windows and only mosquito nets on the window frames. It feels like sleeping in the outdoors. Food was excellent, very tasty, specially the swahili style and the pasta.

the shower.. while the idea is to have it flowing as a cascade style, it doesn’t actually work and is quite annoying at some times when pressure is low. food could be a touch more generous sized for the price.

Calm and pleasant stay

Great boutique hotel, very clean and well maintained rooms, super friendly and polite staff, excellent service, nice breakfast. There are 2 pools with the warm water, you can take massage (25$ for 60 min).

There are high and low tides on the whole eastern side of Zanzibar which makes swimming in the sea a bit problematic. Regarding the Hotel itself, nothing major to change/dislike. I'd add more storage space for clothes in the room

100% recommandation

Very very good stay at the Luna Apartment in August. Everything was perfect. Special thanks to the staff very nice and more particularly to our receptionist Abdula. Very clean rooms, much appreciated. Thé swimming pool of La Luna is wonderful. Very good combination with Mwezi Resort sharing facilities. We had good breakfast at Mwezi every mornings, and restaurant is of good quality.

Everything I was hoping for and more.

Excellent accommodation in La Luna apartment. All the facilities of Mwezi also available for use. Food and speed of service was excellent. Staff and management on hand for any questions.
