Camp Kwando is always a wonderful address when visiting the Caprivi Strip region. The perfect location, close to Bwabwata and Mudumu parks. The location on the river and the ideal layout. The pleasant atmosphere and quality of the accommodation. And last but not least, the exceptional quality of the meals! Truly a dream address

What an amazing little lodge this is. The tents are super comfortable with bathrooms attached and a view through the reeds to the small river.
the grounds are beautifully cared for but the best thing about this lodge is the food! Oh my god best food not just in Africa but in many places outside of Africa too! The German (?) gorgeous lady who either owns the lodge it runs it is so beautiful! she assured us it would be the best bread in a Africa and she was right! But the bread was just the start the pumpkin papaya soup was creamy, silky smooth and just delicious. this was followed by a kudu roulade (like venison) which was accompanied by the most yummy jus and mashed potato and well as small hollowed squash stuffed with some sort of cheesy, pumpkin concoction! seriously this food was so so good! This is as followed by a fluffy chocolate mousse with candied walnuts and a shortbread crumb. you would think you were in a city restaurant not in the middle of a game park with nothing around you!
We slept like babies in our warm and cosy 4 post tented bedroom and awoke to the birds before yet more delicious food before we waved goodbye!
I would tell anyone to make sure to stay here between Chobe and Divundu to enjoy the Mudumu Game Park and the wonderful hospitality of Camp Kwando!
loved it all!

Amazing location on the river. Very relaxing.

Very beautiful lodges and grounds overlooking Kwando River. We had a very relaxing and successful birding boat trip upriver with Alfred.
the meals were delicious and the dining and seating areas were beautiful with a huge log fire outside.
There were monkeys and birds and squirrels everywhere - very entertaining! The kitchen and waiting staff were very helpful.
The lady on reception on our arrival and when paying to leave was unhelpful and rude, and the bar wasn’t well staffed. Everything else and all the other staff were excellent.

It is a beautiful lodge. The food at the restaurant was exceptional in taste and fresh. Our sundowner boat cruise with Hidden was one to remember - we saw elephants at a time of the year they weren't expected. And a special thanks to Anke for your hospitality.

Great location with excellent boat trip on the river (lots of hippos up close!). Dinner is really nice, too
Rooms lock with a padlock which causes a bit of anxiety when the room is on stilts over the water (don't want to drop it!)

Meals were excellent. Location was excellent and staff was friendly and helpful, manager was excellent
Coffee in the morning delivered to the room as there was no kettle available would've been nice - just because we LOVE coffee :-)

The rooms were very spacious. Too bad there is not much light in the bathroom. The view from the room and bathroom is sublime! We enjoyed the tranquility. We did a boat safari in the evening. That is definitely recommended!
Dinner was delicious, there is also attention for veggies. My daughter got the best veggie dish of the entire trip. The breakfast is nice and simple.
The host is very friendly and helpful and gives you valuable tips to continue your holiday
More light in the bathroom, but that shouldn't stop you from staying in this lodge.

Anke the hostess was amazing!!
Food was great.
Very close to 3 Nature Reserves
Good accommodation
Mad to feel very special and treated on our Anniversary.
Parking was far from the tent which we had. But Anke was amazing in helping us get electricity to our vehicle to keep our fridge running.

Great location with beautiful views on the Kwando River. Nice chalet (with tent walls for the real bush experience!) with en-suite bathroom. You can hear a variety of wild animals at night. Food was excellent! The gardens are amazing and well-maintained, ideal to relax after a (great!) morning game drive. We would definitely come back!
The chalets are quite close to each other, this can lead to irritations if your neighbors do not realize this fact.
We suspect that the owner/manager was not on site during our stay: check-in, game drive booking and early check-out came with a lot of misunderstandings.

The rooms are on the water. We could hear the hippos eat the whole night.

Wonderful camp right on the banks of the Kwando river!
Great chalets, great facilities, great location and great staff!
All the meals were very good, (would recommend having dinner there) and a bar and pool!
Terrific setting and great fun on the river boat trip.
Out in the wilds so remember, no WiFi! Time to switch off!

Once again a wonderful stay in Namibia. As we took the risk of travelling during the coronacrisis most of the time we were the only guests in the lodges we stayed in. Really sad for them but oh so special for us. We were treated like kings everywhere whe stayed. The host, Anke, was very helpful and gave us quit a bit of tips, it was nice chatting to her. The place itself is best descrbibed as paradise. They have a wonderful garden with lots of trees visited by flocks of birds. There are even a few monkeys who travel around. The reception, restaurant and lounge with riversight are inviting to spend some time watching the river go by and the jungle of Botswana on the opposite riverbank. We had a treehouse and it was magnificient. Lots of space, great bathroom and terrace. At night the silence is overwhelming. Although, silence? The sounds of the bush are surrounding you. But those sounds are calming. Food was really good and once again, diner just for the two of us.
Nearby Mumundu Park was spectacular but we wouldn't advice to do it on your own. You get lost real easy I think and the roads are really sandy. We did a safari tour with them two days in a row and even their driver with their vehicule was struggeling with the sand roads at some places.
Nothing.
