Lovely house, lovely people.

Beautiful location. Fantastic room. Loved my bed and the breakfast.

If you want to hike the trail, organise transport to the beginning.

Great views, great food, great hosts

Great location with option to dine in the garden with superb views of the surrounding mountains. Delicious home cooked meals with most ingredients coming from the own, attached farm - dinner is a set menu. Its 3km outside town, thus much more quiet, allowing to relax after your hikes while enjoying the scenery. Hosts are super friendly and helpful.

The location outside town can also be considered a drawback, as the next restaurant is 1km away, and hiking to/from this guesthouse takes extra effort (recommendation before a long hike is to have them arrange a taxi). My room was spacious, with a basic bathroom.

Fantastic view just outside the doorstteps.

Simply, I was struck by the brilliant view from the hostel. There is a fairly large lawn garden outside where you can relax before looming mountains.

Relaxing stay with the most beautiful scenery

Arriving at Guesthouse Mehmeti we are blown away by the beautiful view. The garden was beautifully kept and super lush. The Mehmeti family was super friendly and helpful. Each day they served us lovely Albanian dinners and breakfasts made from their own produce.

A 30 min walk from town, but no sutures, everything you need is already at the guest house!

Really great guesthouse - fantastic value for money and we had a lovely private room with a very comfortable bed. View from dining outside was beautiful and paid 12 euros per person for dinner onsite. Family is lovely who runs guesthouse.

This is further away from the start of the Valbone to Theth day pass than some other guesthouses but we paid $15 euro for a transfer to the start of the track which worked out perfect! Highly recommend.

Very enjoyable calming stop on the trail, invites to stay longer in beautiful setting

- calm and beautiful area of guesthouse and surrounding - outstanding dinner, very complete - advices and interactions with sons of the family, they manage very elegantly - good location on the trail - vegetable garden and animals - milk for breakfast

- no good coffee a la Turka - breakfast has room for improvement

Beautiful place, amazing family!

We had such a lovely stay! The family is super friendly and make you feel comfortable and at home. They gave us advice about the Valbone-Theth hike and even gave us a ride to the starting point. The dinner in the garden was freshly home made and delicious!

Very cozy accommodation. The room was nice and clean located in nice and quiet location. The staff was unbelievably kind and hospitable. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. (5€ for breakfast and 12€ for lunch) We only had breakfast and dinner and both of them were delicious. There was more than enough food, the plates full of food just kept coming. They also offer a taxi to the trail head of Valbone-Theth hike for 10€.

Gorgeous stay - the most perfect trip!

One of the best stays we’ve ever had! After complying the Valbone to Theth hike this was the perfect spot to unwind. The staff really looked after us & the food is some of the best we’ve ever had! We loved having a nice long bath after a day of hiking and exploring. The room was cosy and we loved the little homely touches. I 100% would recommend this place to everyone going to Theth it truly was an incredible stay!

Great base for day hikes and the Valbonë to Thethi trail.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Weather permitting (mountains are always unpredictable), sitting out in the garden two enjoy drinks and meals was a pleasure. Staff helpfully arranged for an early morning transfer to the trail head for the hike to Thethi.

A minor quibble ... the walk along the road to get to Valbonë proper was a bit tedious. The guesthouse is further out of Valbonë than anticipated, although Valbonë itself is quite spread out, so in reality, everywhere is probably equally remote from the rest of Valbonë.

Incredible stay! I will definitely be back.

I cannot rave about this place enough. Gorgeous family, incredible food, large comfortable rooms and the view is unmatched! I highly highly recommend. We got a 4X4 car to the start of the hike with the property owner for 25 euros (which we split with another guest staying). Also highly recommend this is you are doing the hike.

Lovely stay in Valbona

Very nice staff, got some good explanations on which hijes ti di in the area. Lovely setting, nice rooms and house. There are chickens and a cow which they makr their own products from. We got pancakes for breakfast which was great.

The shower in our room wasn’t hot, but we got to use a different shower in an empty room. The dinner was okay, but quite expensive compared to other places we have stayed. Value for money wasn’t what we expected.

Lovely guesthouse, lovely family, fabulous scenery

This guesthouse is surrounded by the most magnificent scenery. Breakfast was fantastic and we had an equally delicious dinner. The family did everything to make our stay enjoyable.

All good but being without a car, it was a long way to walk in Varbona for cafe/restaurant etc

Location a bit problematic (on the far side of valbone), if you want to go to cerem through the mountains you will need to retrace. If you're going through the road - no problem.

Fantastic stay and helpful staff

Lovely big room with ensuite and balcony. Very comfortable. Clean and modern but with traditional charm. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Mondi even acted as my translator and came to the hospital with me when I had an insect bite from my hike a few days prior. Over and above!

Very good and pleasant hosts! Traditional food (a lot) was very tasteful! We had a very good sleep in a warm, clean and comfortable room and the hosts drove us to the start of the valbona - teth hike in the morning of 06:30!
