Location - close to venue for wedding reception
Very dated, uncomfortable beds, outside pub light left on ALL night - it was actually lighter at night then it was during the day! Staff could do with a course in customer service - on arriving to check in we were completely ignored until lady behind bar had finished serving and chatting to a local. Is it really too much to ask to acknowledge the arrival of people clearly there to check-in with a simple smile and “Hi, be with you in a couple of minutes ok” instead left standing there feeling invisible. On returning to pub later and not sure which door or enter through, again pretty gruff response, almost annoyed that we’d gone to the wrong door. Felt like we were a bit of an inconvenience to be honest.

Food was amazing and the staff were lovely, beautifully done out down stairs
The room wasn’t great, the bed was very uncomfortable. Only 1 pillow per person when usually you get 2 and the mattress, bed frame and duvet were not great.

We have stayed here many times over the years. We love its proximity to the river and to the Norfolk Broads as a whole. The previous owners have retired, the pub has been taken over by 3 chaps and a great deal seems to have been invested on the outside space.
I may be wrong but I'd guess the new owners have other businesses as there was no sign of their presence while we were there. When we left in the morning, there was no-one to ask if we'd enjoyed our stay; we just put the key on the bar and left and the whole thing seemed a little impersonal rather than the family run business it was previously. My main complaint would be the bedroom. Whilst a lot has been spent externally, the bedrooms are terribly old and tired. They'll probably be re furbished at some point but, until then, in my opinion they're very expensive and should be offered at a discounted rate to reflect their condition.

Was not included in price although booking .com said it would b We asked for a selection of fruit. Brown toast and tea This was excellent
The food was disappointing I didn’t think it was possible to do so much damage to a sea bass fillet 3 out of 4 of us chose it

Beautiful location by the river. I enjoyed the swans. Very comfortable bed.
Not really a dislike, beacuse they kindly upgraded me to a larger room with ensuite because I'd asked not to be on the road side, but if I hadn't asked, I would have been in a room with shared bathroom which I hadn't realised from the booking, and wouldn't expect for £90 / night with no breakfast included. But maybe all the hotels round there are similar prices. Don't know why it's so high when it's not London area.

Macerator toilet in shared bathroom was a bit loud at night...

Fantastic Pub / Restaurant / Hotel rolled into one. Great location by the river, though a little distant from the village. Good quality cask ales in the bar and very high standard cuisine for both the evening meal and breakfast. Brilliant staff, who were very accommodating, even on a busy Saturday night.
Whilst the accommodation prices were very competitive, I felt the food was just a little over priced compared with other local venues, but that probably reflected the higher quality.

What a wonderful setting. Right by the river and 15 minutes to both Norwich and Norfolk Broads. Lovely friendly pub and room and bed were great.

Good location for my trip. Friendly staff. Nice clean room, comfy bed, good facilities and on site parking, bonus.
The toilets disposal system was a tad noisy but nothing I couldn’t put up with.

Room was comfortable. breakfast was good.
Car parking was in Public area which said it could not be used overnight. some limited parking said Hotel but was always full and didn’t make clear could be used overnight. I had to walk up to road by the church to find parking for overnight.
No evening meals were available as weather was too hot to use kitchens. I didn’t know this until my return that evening.

just the bed wasn’t very comfy, an extra pillow would be nice and some blinds for the bedroom as there’s a lamp post outside. other than that all great.
