If you're not interested in rustic, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for an escape to peace and tranquility, you've found the right place. Alec and Natalie are tremendous hosts, completely accommodating and helpful. The cabins are exactly as advertised, and everything we needed for a re-charge. Thank you. We'll be back.

If you are ok with no electricity and running water then you will love this place. It was the perfect way to unplug and enjoy some quiet relaxation. It was a quick drive into Collingwood if we did want to grab food etc.. I haven't felt that relaxed in ages.

When we arrived, we drove up to the main house. Oleg escorted us to the cabin and we immediately loved our spot for the week. The whole property is well maintained and clean. The "pond" which seems more like a small lake was perfect with small islands scattered around the body of water. The cabin was right off the water and it was the perfect size. There is a large rectangle table with chairs but also wooden benches on either side of the deck and a small circular table with a cute tiki style umbrella for some shade on sunny days. A propane stove is available and a fridge which is a great size to store everything you need for your stay. There is a shelf for storage, a bunkbed and a double bed which was comfortable. There is a table with 4 chairs for eating or playing cards. Outside, there is a picnic table and a nice sized, private fire pit. The dock is great to lie down on and watch the stars or jump off into the water. The washroom was clean and always maintained. The handwashing station is on the side next to the shower. Hoping my description helps if you're planning on staying. Oleg has firewood available and he grabbed that for us no problem. Good quality too - it lasted us two days which is impressive! Can't forget the beach and the canoe which you have to take out to explore the lake. It's not too deep at all. Very safe. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is a great place to visit. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Oleg and Natalia for sharing your space with us!

Great break
I was extremely happy with the little cabin, bare-bones as it was. Everything was clean and the host was more than helpful and willing to answer questions. Lovely canoeing, swimming, and lots of hiking available. So happy we got to unplug for a few days.

This was the second time I booked this cabin. Last year my boyfriend and I spent a couple days exploring the area (Collingwood, Blue Mountains, Wasaga). This year, my sister and I took her two children here to enjoy a few stress-free, relaxing days swimming, canoeing and seeing some of the attractions in the area. Small cabin, a few amenities. Very honest description.
Really enjoyed. Would come back again.

Was beautiful In nature and scenery very remote and secluded . Owner was nice when we got there but then started raining and left and never heard from him again . Fridge was non working for what reason not sure but cooler and ice for a couple days did fine. Not much lighting at night but wood stove and flashlight did the job that we found in cabin. Pretty much roughing it sort to say but wasn’t bad overall.

Perfect getaway
This incredible location gave us a perfect, peaceful getaway.
Quiet - you can hear the silence.
A place to walk in nature, think, meditate, fish.
The whole weekend was just as we wanted. Didn't think about work, stress, finances. Just felt the moment.
Thank you so much Oleg for making it perfect.

Exactly as described
Nice little rustic cabin right on the lake. Nothing fancy, but clean and a beautiful view. Close to Collingwood and Wasaga for daytrips. Would recommend for a getaway for a few days of peace and quiet. Although bathroom and shower are separate from the cabin, they were fine. No surprises....as described!

Private and cozy
Firstly, Oleg and Natalia were both incredibly friendly and helpful. They were very easy to communicate with and were just a text message away if we needed anything. They went above and beyond to make our stay there enjoyable. The property is lovely and the cabin was just as described - very cozy even on cooler nights, and we were happy to see it had a small refrigerator and hot plate inside. We took advantage of the canoes and paddle boat. The pond isn't too deep but it's a good size and we still managed to catch some trout! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and with the hospitality.

Loved it!
We came for one night to have a quiet break from busy city life. This place felt amazing from the start. The location on a private lake is perfect. The sauna was great as well as swimming and stargazing. Oleg is a wonderful and attentive host. We will definately come again!

Very relaxing cute cottage. Hosts are very gracious and accommodating. Thank you
We visited Eugenia Falls, Wasaga Beach, Blue Mountain and Georgian Bay. Unfortunately didn't get one fish or even a bite but it was a fabulous restful holiday,.

Exactly as advertised. It was a great location!
Owner was very helpful and welcoming. Great site and loved the cabin. Super quiet and relaxing. We used it as a base for a week of road, mountain and gravel cycling. Quiet roads all around with lots of gravel if so desired. 4 great MTB areas close by. Collingwood is a great town for visitors. Lots to see and do. Will be looking at this location again for a 2017 adventure. 5 stars

Beautiful property & private cabin
Oleg is a very courteous host. His property is well maintained, quiet, comfortable and clean. This was the perfect retreat to escape the city and enjoy a relaxing evening on the lake. The cabin comes with a fire pit, picnic table, access to a canoe and paddles.
We would definitely stay here again some time. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your property!

Nice spot for a weekend getaway
The property was exactly as advertised: a wood stove heated bunkie on the water (which was just what we were looking for). Alec and his wife were friendly and welcoming, offering us coffee and getting to know us a bit before showing us the space (in several years of using sites like this, it's the first time I've ever met a host). They were accommodating and helpful. The site had a close by sauna (which we didn't use) and it got us introduced to other guests on the property. All and all, if the weather were nicer, it would've been the perfect getaway. The only reason this isn't a five star rating is we ended up catching more flies in the bunkie than fish in the Pond, a fly strip would've made this a great home away.
