The custom oceanfront home is built in true Hawaiian style. Niulani Lanikai offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and is located in the popular Kauai town of Kapa’a. You’ll find yourself just steps away from the Kauai Village Shopping Center, pristine beaches, cool and funky boutiques, the incredible restaurants of Kapa’a and many of Kauai’s most popular attractions. At this central location, you’re just a five-minute drive from Lydgate State Beach Park, Fern Grotto, Kamalani Playground and Wailua Golf Course. For those who enjoy an active experience, rent a kayak and paddle up the Wailua River to see not just the breathtaking scenery, but one of Kauai’s famous hidden waterfalls! If you’d like to stick closer to home, simply walk outside your door and take a stroll on the walk/bike path, as you listen to the waves crash and marvel at the clear aquamarine water. The main home of this unique Kapa’a property boasts two bedrooms, an open loft and 2 full baths. In traditional Balinese style, you’ll find lofted post-and-beam style ceilings, creating plenty of air flow throughout the great room. This area is richly decorated in island decor and offers living room, oceanfront dining and a spacious and fully equipped kitchen. Walk out on the deck to enjoy a meal al fresco at the dining table, prepared with a custom BBQ grill. The master bedroom is equipped with a king size bed on the oceanfront side with sliding glass doors that leads out to the ocean side lanai and private marble lined bath/shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen-size bed. A loft bedroom over the living area offers a full-size bed. The Surf Shack is a charming detached cottage with one bedroom (Queen bed), one bath home with a cozy living area with flat screen TV, refrigerator, sink & dishwasher. It also boasts a front porch and small lanai off the main bedroom. The Mermaid Lounge is a separate living area, above the garage, it's 1-bedroom (Queen bed), 1-bath property with vaulted ceilings with the comfortably furnished living area, flat screen TV and a countertop refrigerator. Our stay at Niulani Lanikai - Kauai Beach House was nothing short of exceptional! The multifamiyvacation home in Kapaa surpassed our expectations, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
From the moment we stepped in, the breathtaking ocean views captured our attention. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and oven, made meal preparation a breeze. The attention to detail, from the stylish decor to the cozy bedrooms, truly enhanced our overall experience.
The proximity to attractions like Lydgate State Park and Wailua Falls added an extra layer of convenience, making exploration effortless. The free WiFi ensured we stayed connected, and the thoughtful amenities, including a washing machine and hair dryer, reflected the property's commitment to guest satisfaction.
Adult children appreciated having the privacy of bungalow as well as the apartment above garage. Plenty of towells were availble and large fridge to store family meaks in (fridge could def use uodating, light was out and quite old, but dud fine. Also Very handy to have laundry room accessible to all parts of house. Problem with spin cycle of washing machine. But notified owners Hope they fix
Each day we were there, someone was there maintaining house. Yardwork very early in morning on first day we were there. Woke us all up. Someone fixing the sand bunkers the next day, as well as other maintenance activities day after.
Regardless.. this is the place to stay at in kapa’a.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Niulani Lanikai with our family of 5. The house is very spacious and sits directly on the ocean. With 3 college age children there was plenty of room for us to spread out, yet the main living / kitchen area was a lovely gathering space for us at night. The outdoor space is gorgeous, we utilized the deck for our Thanksgiving dinner. We had coffee in the morning for sunrise which was amazing. The house was well appointed with everything we needed including beach gear, which was a nice surprise. For our family the location was perfect as we had tours on both the northern and southern parts of the island throughout the week. It was less than an hour drive from everything we did. We also took advantage of paved trail along the ocean that is directly behind the house. It was beautiful for running / walking. Hedi our property manager was lovely, she was very easy to contact and responded to us immediately. I would highly recommend this property, and hope we get the chance to return!

There is no doubt that this home is beautiful. Our problem is this home is hot. All the windows in the front are small that open out. Side and back huge windows, but again no ventilation. Only main source of air flow is back slider that’s off the side of the dinning room. We just assumed that with the beach right there that it would be cooler. Other main issue is all the table tops (side, coffee, dinning) are glass. My 4 year old granddaughter easily broke the coffee table top in the bungalow easily with her mermaid Barbies. The glass was not tempered. Large shards. Yes , we broke it, yes we were charged $250 to replace. But why would you allow non tempered glass in a rental. She sliced her finger. Luckily it was only that.

I had six people in my party and this location was perfect! We had 3 people in the main house, one in the upstairs apartment and 2 more in the detached Ohana. Very clean, everything we needed was available in the kitchen, plenty of towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear and washer and dryer. Sunrise was amazing, incredible views, outstanding location! I highly recommend this location; I will be back for sure.

Perfect home for our vacation. Our family of 9 (grown children and spouses) thoroughly enjoyed this property. Each couple had their own space with a bedroom and bathroom and our 17 year old loved his loft bedroom😊 This house had everything we needed from cooking to beach trips (chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler) it was stocked. We loved watching the sun rise from our ocean view each morning and watching the ocean in the evening was so calming. We actually had a huge seal come and rest on the beach in front of the house one day…so awesome! We loved how central the location was to getting to our Napali tour, kayaking/waterfall hike and visiting Hanalei beach. Lots of cute stores and restaurants close by and the bike/walking path was right out our door. Beds were comfy and the fans kept the house cool (we were worried about no AC, but not a problem at all). Beautiful, comfortable house with a safe neighborhood location.

The house is one street off the main road on the beach. The beach is rocky, but nice. The house is outdated and worn. No AC, most windows don’t work well. However the house has everything that you would need as far as kitchen supplies, beach chairs, towels, linens, etc.

So much that was great about this property for 4 couples to enjoy 10 days in beautiful Kauai.
1. We all had private bed and bath.
2. Right on ocean! You could wiggle your toes in sand or sit elevated on a beautiful deck or yard.
3. Location was perfect to see all sides of the island easily.
4. Location 5 minutes from grocery store. We cooked alot of meals.
5. Living/Dining room was big enough for all of us to be together!
6. Room full of snorkel equipment and chairs was awesome.
7. The kitchen was fully appointed with anything you needed to make almost anything.
8. Right on a ocean side walking/biking trail!
My only complaint was the beds were ridiculously hard. Besides this, it was really a great property! Book it!

This home was amazing and very well Stocked with everything you could need. Ocean front Sunrise's were amazing. There is no Air Conditioning, but it cooled off nicely in the evening. We did think that there was a full kitchen in the Surf Shack and the Mermaid Lounge, however there is not, but we really didn't mind and were able to share the kitchen in the main house. No Ice Maker so remember to make ice each day or buy ice. Plenty of beach supplies and towels. Washer and Dryer were a huge plus. We enjoyed our visit and will be back if the house does not sale before that.

This house is absolutely beautiful! It's centrally located and the beach is just out your backdoor. The part that we didn't like, was that the beds are HARD! My husband and I are side sleepers and we were forced to sleep on our stomachs or backs and tossed and turned every night. Other than that we couldn't have asked for a better rental.

This was the perfect place for our families needs. We were constantly cooking and it was amply supplied. The space is large and open with high ceilings. The views are excellent. But this is pretty much expected at most oceanfront places. Also, there are critters (mostly small lizards and geckos), but again these are expected at any oceanfront. There is no A/C, but there are an excessive amounts of ceiling fans to keep airflow, so we were just fine. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience here!

Great oceanfront home literally on the beach. Lots of charm and space for everyone being together or space to be alone. Small sand and tide pool beach. Everything you need to drive to a close by large sandy beach. Walk to town. Our host, Eric, promptly took care of our needs.

We had 9 people gather for Thanksgiving. The home is everything listed in the write-up. It is well stocked and clean and the location right on the beach is terrific. The snorkeling and beach equipment is great and the cleaner and manager are extremely responsive. The only negative is the traffic on Highway 50 with construction, but that will be true for anything along the eastern coats of Kauai.

Kauai/Kapaa Crane vacation
Property, location, and vacation were all terrific. We had some issues mostly related to maintenance of the property and aging appliances. Property manager was great, she got right back to us, but the trades guys weren’t so prompt. The dishwasher didn’t work the entire time, it needed a part he didn’t have. Electricity kept going out in the Surf Shack and the upstairs tv needs fixing or repair. The electrician never showed. It!s a great place, it just needs some attention (especially for the price).

Kauai Birthday Group Getaway
Excellent except for the deck which was destroyed (beyond the owner's control by storm/tree falling). The deck was not very usable during our stay and was being repaired the morning of the last day. This is not something that will affect anyone else obviously. Our stay was otherwise wonderful.

Loved the house and location
The house and location were great for my family vacation, which consisted of 4 adult couples. Before we got there a couple of trees blew down. One tree took down part of the lanai which made the lanai for the most part unusable. We were planning on eating outside and enjoying the weather and the view, the small table with 4 chairs were the only thing that could be used . We also planned on doing yoga in the morning. If we moved things around and really squished 2 of us could do it. The tree that you can see in the window now almost completely blocks the view of the ocean from the interior table. So, if these things are something that you are looking for, inquire if they have been fixed. There was no compensation for these inconveniences, since it was caused by Mother Nature- although it did detract from the use of the property.

Great Location
This property is great, and you'll do well to choose this property as the location for your Kauai family vacation. If you're booking in the near future, be sure to ask whether the back porch has been repaired. A tree fell on the deck on Christmas Eve, and for reasons unknown, we were told that insurance wouldn't allow any clean-up until after the adjuster came by the house. As the tree was hung up on the roof and created further danger (ie greater liability for the insurance company), I found this very hard to believe. Further still, the adjuster came by for 5 minutes early in our stay, and nothing was done about the tree for the duration (I'm guessing the current tenants are still dealing with it). While this issue didn't effect the inside, it did limit our use of the back porch and the yard, and quite honestly, you're paying a lot for the sunrise/ocean view -- You should be able to enjoy it without navigating a fallen tree. We should have been told about in advance, and further, our point-of-contact just casually noted it (no apology) when we called as if it was not a problem.

Niulani Lanikai was the perfect spot for our 20th wedding anniversary! Steps from a perfect, shaded little beach area that we didn't have to load up, drive to, and fight for parking, we spent most of our time right there on the property during the day and enjoyed the breeze and moonlight on the water from the lanai in the evening. The kitchen is well stocked, but being within walking distance to so many great restaurants in Kapa'a, we didn't eat in much. We'd never stayed in Kapa'a before, but getting a feel for how accessible it makes both the north and south shores, we'll be back!
