About this house rental
Located in Ocean Grove, this charming house for $1,025 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Ocean Grove is truly a unique town that has kept its charm and brings you back to a time when life was so easy and innocent. Everything is walking distant, so you don't need a car when you are here. The Asbury train station is walking distance from the house or a quick Uber ride can bring you too. Amazing restaurants are in the town of Ocean Grove, or only blocks away in Asbury Park! Our charming beach house is decorated and furnished to make sure your stay is as comfortable and effortless as possible. House has three spacious floors, recently painted and renovated with new hardwood floors throughout the home. Ground floor has a private bedroom suite, with full renovated bathroom, and a separate room with new washer and dryer. Main floor (one level up) is an open floor concept, with large family room and eat in dining room and eat in kitchen. Also off this floor is one of two outside porches, housing two comfy rocking chairs and a picnic table that fits 8. Top floor (two levels up) has two guest bedrooms, a full renovated bathroom in the hall and a very large master bedroom with a new full bathroom. There is also a wonderful outside porch off the master bedroom, offering amazing views of the lake across the street and the ocean 1 1/2 blocks away from the house. There are three rockers, along with 2 very comfy chairs and a table. Great place for reading a book, or if necessary, working from home! House also has a refreshing brand new outside shower with hot and cold water. And a driveway and garage which is extremely rare in Ocean Grove which gives you peace of mind to never worry about finding a spot on those busy beach days! House has central air conditioning and heat and a new BBQ in the backyard. It comes equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, including condiments and spices. All linens and bath towels are included, along with standard staples (paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner), as well as gas for the BBQ. The house has high speed wifi and three smart TVs, allowing you to use your personal accounts to stream your favorite shows. During summer months, the house comes with 5 adult beach passes and a locker on the beach, filled with 6 beach chairs and an umbrella. We are respecting COVID Guidelines for cleaning the house and all surfaces, as well as linens and towels.

The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with anything you could need. A very short walk to the ocean - which you can see from the front porch and top floor balcony. We had a great stay. The location was perfect. Parking was convenient and free (right out front). Neighborhood was very safe and picturesque.
The beds were comfortable and the showers were all hot with great pressure.
Our group of 7 had plenty room to sleep and hang out without feeling overcrowded.
Highly recommend this place!

A clean, cared for house. The balconies let you watch the ocean all day and you can pop in for a swim with a short walk. happy place to stop by!

Colorful and whimsical… every room has numerous things of interest… and definitely provides a comfortable and cozy feel… master bedroom superb and porches were great for viewing the sun and ocean as well as the rain… rocking away with a glass of wine and some familiar tunes… and Lisa is a text away to answer any questions that may arise… a great place to stay and enjoy the magnificence of Ocean Grove…

Fantastic House for family vacation in Ocean Grove
We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at Lisa's house in Ocean Grove. The location is fantastic with ocean views from the porches and a short walk to Main Ave. The house was very clean, well laid out, well stocked, and even had plenty of toys for the kids. Lisa was really great to work with and quickly got back to me with any questions I had. I would book this house again in a heartbeat!

We have stayed an average of 3 to 4 rental houses per year since retiring in 1999 (including several in Ocean Grove). Obviously each one has its strong points and weak points. And I tend to be fairly critical because I had a background in facility engineering as an occupation. Having said that, “Summer Cottage” is at the top of my list in many categories.
The house is very “child friendly” which didn’t mean much to us being a group of 75+ people. But we were very impressed with the things which were available for the younger generation. And we were surprised how clean and well maintained the house is, thinking that it is used by children. Didn’t find dirt – even in the corners. And the interior paint job is absolutely the best I have ever seen. I wish I could do as well! Every day, one of us would notice something additional that we would comment on in a positive way. So let me just list a few of the positives.
Good lighting and comfortable seating for reading activities (and plenty of good books), good selection of cooking supplies & utensils, a working Amazon Echo device (which we made good use of), excellent washer & dryer, user-friendly bathrooms with hooks & rods, good hvac system, good internet, décor which is time appropriate to the town, excellent location with the best parking in the town (this is extremely important in Ocean Grove). We found no maintenance issues – which is very unusual. There are great views from the two porches with views of the ocean and the nearby lake. The boardwalk is a short block and a half away. The house has combination locks so we didn’t need to keep track of keys. There are “better than average” written instructions for use of the house and check-out procedures. I could go on and on, but won’t.
Really, the only negative comment we would have, is that it has fairly low “curb appeal”. Because of the flood plain, the main living floor is one flight up from the pavement. And the steps are rather rough looking. But we didn’t spend a lot of time on the stairs and were more than willing to overlook that one drawback.
We would strongly recommend this rental house but we hope others would not want to pick the same date we want in the future.

It is incredibly clean, convenient, roomy, and has every thoughtful amenity you can imagine. If you are looking for a stress-free beach vacation, this one is IT! From the moment I booked, Lisa the owner was unbelievably attentive to my every question. She was available by text to answer anything and even communicated just to see how we were doing! I could not have asked for a better host. I stayed here with my daughter, my son-in-law and their two children ages 3 and 8. Everyone has his or her own space; I even had my own little suite downstairs when I needed to get away! Lisa even provided superb toys for the kids, extra condiments, wonderful books and so much more. The beach locker let us walk the block to the beach without dragging chairs, umbrellas, etc. and the hot outdoor shower was perfect to use to remove sand before going into the house. I would absolutely stay here again - just checking out my calendar. Thank you for everything, Lisa!

One of nicest vacation stays we have ever rented. House is very comfortably set up for guests (with the exception of lack of a plunger in a house with modern bathrooms but an ancient main drain that clogs.) It has a good battery of cooking equipment, a grill in the backyard, kids books and toys - NOT the usual motley assortment of second rate toys and kids books that got left at the beach. But it would also work for a family with teens or 2 couples. Two ensuite bathrooms: one is a 2nd floor show-stopper with balcony, the other on the ground level. Porches overlook pond that separates Ocean Grove form Bradley Beach, Walk to beach is easy enough for a 2 and 1/2 year old. modern washer/dryer. Did I mention how pretty the house is inside? Walk in or sit on the porch and it feels like a a holiday.

Wonderful Ocean Grove weekend
The house is beautiful. It’s comfortably and tastefully furnished and is well equipped with everything you need. The location can’t be beat. Just a block from the beach with a view of the lake and ocean from the front porch and sun deck. There is also a locker on the beach with beach chairs and umbrella. We were a group of five women on a weekend retreat. The space worked perfectly for us. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We hope to return.

Weekend getaway with friends
My wife and I were traveling to Asbury Park with some friends and came across Lisa's house. The location of the house is perfect, it's right on the beach and is walking distance to Asbury. The house itself is beautiful and well maintained and the pictures don't even do it justice. Additionally the check in/out process couldn't be easier and Lisa couldn't have been more accommodating to our various requests. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to visit the area.

Awesome beach house
First, I want to say how amazing Lisa was in ensuring we had a great stay. The whole experience felt like I was dealing with a family friend that cared about us. She checked in at times to make sure everything was ok which I sincerely appreciated.
Once we checked-in, we knew we picked the right place. It was super clean and cozy. The owners obviously care about upkeep because there was precisely 0 issues with the place. It honestly felt like a home away from home but with an added bonus of being close to the water. My kids are already asking if we can stay there again next summer. I would definitely book this place again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Weekend at the Shore
My family and I decided to go down the shore at the last minute to get out of the heatwave in the city and this was clean and nice and comfortable AND super close to the beach (you can see it from the porch)! Lisa was so nice to work with and made everything very easy. We walked to Asbury for dinner and had a great time walking around the cute town of Ocean Grove. I would highly recommend this great place for a weekend away!

Stayed here with friends for a wedding in Asbury Park. Beautiful house and great location. Beautiful view of ocean from porch and master bedroom. House is updated and clean. Fully equipped. Outdoor shower is great. 1 min walk to OG beach. Very close to Asbury Park. 20 +/-min walk to Asbury Park beach. Check out list a little long for a spot that includes a cleaning fee, but owner is communicative and helpful. Would recommend.

Wedding Weekend
We decided to rent a home rather than a hotel for a family wedding in Asbury Park and this location was absolutely perfect! The house was equipped with everything imaginable and then some ... our grand daughter even had toys to keep her occupied! The home is decorated beautifully - has a wonderful flow with comfortable furniture to lounge on or farmhouse tables for cards and games. A very easy short walk to the beach; having lockers with chairs and umbrellas stored at the waters edge was another pleasant surprise. Lisa and her husband were extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. Will definitely returning for another visit soon!

Absolutely fantastic stay at beautiful ocean grove, the house is in a prime location- a stone throw from the beach.
The house is beautifully furnished with all the amenities you need - well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and washer / dryer.
Lisa was an amazing host, incredibly flexible with offering both an early check in and late check out. Communication was great over the weekend making sure we had everything we need.

Hidden Gem in a perfect location
We were looking for a house to attend an event in Asbury park. Price/location were the most important. This house had both, along with a beautiful interior and great water views.
With the boardwalk within a block, we were able to walk everywhere. Bedrooms were perfect for our group. The house has the old charm of a shore home, with very nice bedrooms and views

The house exceeded our expectations!
Ocean Grove is a beautiful community. The beach and boardwalk were the perfect place for our family get-a-way. This house was beautifully furnished, amazingly clean and had all the comforts of home. The front porch is a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning with a view of the lake and Ocean. The master suite even has it's own outdoor balcony complete with rocking chairs. The main floor has plenty of room to gather and then four bedrooms so everyone can enjoy some privacy. Wi-fi and cable TV made everyone happy! I absolutely recommend this property for anyone looking to enjoy some time in Ocean Grove, NJ.

Wonderful home close to the beach
We had a wonderful trip staying in Lisa's home. The house was very clean and organized, with a well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable and cozy rooms. The house was perfect for our kids, who loved playing with the toys and books - all of which was neatly organized and displayed. The house is very close to the beach, and an easy walk to the stores and restaurants on Main. Lisa was a pleasure to work with - she was so helpful and responsive, and has thought of everything to ensure we had a great time. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
