Convenient parking, good communication, greated by a member of staff, easy check in, secured entrance, warm and very clean room with on suite. Staff addressed every request and we're very polite and friendly, quiet guests. Complimentary tea, coffee and condiments, modern design. Close to an amazing beach, small library, puzzles, great hot shower and fluffy towels

Uncomfortable pillows, which were changed on request, many thanks, and having to draw the blackout blinds to have complete privacy with room being on the ground floor, would be easier with some privacy film or voile curtains, plus it would soften the view from the window: a dark messy yard corner.

Nothing as everything was excellent

Great place to stay, very reasonably priced. You have the use of a large, fully equipped kitchen with several cookers, microwaves, fridges etc if you would like it. Not disturbed by people coming in to clean your room but they will do it if you want them to and you only have to ask for more towels, toilet rolls, bedding etc. and you get them straightaway, along with anything else you could possibly need. Quite a few contractors stay here but they are friendly and no bother. Can't believe that some folk left reviews that they weren't happy that they hadn't been told it was a former care home. Whether or not it was is totally irrelevant, I worked in a care home for a number of years and nothing about this place resembles it, it has been refurbished throughout and is spotlessly clean with a lovely atmosphere. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Great place to use as a base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District.

The warmth of the welcome and the attention to details. They clearly listen to guests and have adopted this into a fantastic live work space in a quirky part of barrow. Couldn’t fault it

I really enjoyed my stay at West Point House. The room was very clean and comfortable and the self-catering kitchen and lounge/dining area excellent. The kitchen was very well organised and equipped. I stayed at West Point House as a base for exploring Walney Island, particularly, the English Coastal Path and the two nature reserves. The self-catering arrangement gave me flexibility, particularly as a single traveller. The staff were really friendly and helpful and had good local knowledge. I felt very comfortable there. I didn't use the parking in the end, as I travelled by train. There is a good bus service between Walney and Barrow. Walney is a hidden gem!

The whole set up was ideal for working away from home. The place was spotless and quiet. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Having the kitchen facility made it for me.

Very helpful and pleasant people to deal with, nice and clean, very well organised.

This is only my preference and not an overall criticism but the pillows and duvet far to thick and heavy for my liking, probably because I am used to more basic stuff.

Great place, beautiful decor - kind, warm, polite, professional and lovely staff. I love the layout of the building. I was lucky, I got a beautiful room with a stunning view. The service was great. A homely home away from home! 5* quality and amazing value for money. They really looked after me and I loved staying there and hope to come back soon. I would highly recommend!
