The cottage is to be found just off the central square in Laugharne. It is close to the shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, yet offers a good degree of privacy, being at the end of a private pathway of similar properties. It is within a short walk of the foreshore and castle. This property is managed and maintained by the owners, so you are guaranteed of the highest standards of service. Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The accommodation is very well presented with quality furnishings. The well-equipped kitchen diner includes a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer plus all the usual kitchen accessories. The dining table comfortably seats six people. The spacious lounge has a large leather suite, 50-inch TV with DVD, iPlayer, Netflix etc. French doors open on to the patio. Bedroom 1 is a very spacious room with a king size bed and a TV. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a small dressing room. Each bedroom has a built-in wardrobe, dressing table with mirror and hairdryer. There is a modern, contemporary shower room consisting of shower, washbasin and toilet. Little Avalon benefits from WiFi and central heating, making it cosy all year round. The enclosed garden has table and chairs for relaxed outdoor dining on the patio, with views over the river towards the park on one side and glimpses of the castle on the other. There is private allocated parking for one car. Whether it's a cosy meal for two or dinner with friends, the kitchen-diner at Little Avalon is the ideal place to prepare and enjoy a meal together. There is also a great choice for eating out; whether you fancy a quick coffee and cake, a pub lunch or fine dining, Laugharne has it all covered. Laugharne is a unique and enchanting little town on the River Taf estuary; famed as being the place which inspired the poet, Dylan Thomas. Laugharne has recently provided the location for the spectacular coastal scenery and high street in the hit BBC series, "Keeping Faith". Laugharne has a good selection of cafés, restaurants and pubs. Laugharne also has a fine Norman castle, Dylan Thomas' writing shed & boathouse, a riding stables and many scenic walks. The Wales Coast Path passes through the town. The estuary provides bird watching opportunities, fishing and boating. The property is just yards from the foreshore and walks along the estuary. Laugharne is an ideal base from which to explore West Wales. Pendine Sands is only a 10-minute drive away, the resorts of Tenby, Saundersfoot, the beaches and tourist attractions of Pembrokeshire and the National Botanic Garden are all within easy driving distance.

Lovely cottage situated at the end of a quiet mews. Good eating places in easy walking distance. Laugharne has lots of good walks and further afield is the lovely walk from Colby Gardens to Amroth. Another place we enjoyed visiting was Lawrenny Quay.

Had a lovely weekend at this very cosy cottage.
Well placed close to the centre of the village (but back off the street so it was very quiet throughout).
2 spacious bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Has its own parking space and a useful convenience store just around the corner.
Communication with Andrew was excellent throughout and the tips of places to visit in the welcome pack was much appreciated!

Little Avalon is a little gem. It is well stocked, extremely cosy and comfortable, a real home from home . Andrew and Angela are perfect hosts, so thoughtful and very quick to respond to any queries.

This property rental was excellent from booking to returning keys coming home. The area is stunning for views and we never had to go far to find somewhere interesting to explore.
The property itself was well laid out with good parking and very warm for April. Would recommend this property to people wanting to get out walking.

This very comfortable and well-equipped property is in a quiet mews right in the centre of Laugharne, close to the castle, restaurants and shop. The owners are very helpful and gave us all the information we needed, plus a charming welcome pack - we had a great time, and I can't think of anything that could have been better.

The house was extremely clean, well maintained with well stocked kitchen and lovely bathroom. Furniture looked extremely new. Everything we needed was available so we spent a very comfortable week there. Our host communicated with us really well and we found the neighbours in surrounding properties very friendly.

An excellent place to stay in Laugharne and base for seeing the area.
The house was extremely clean, well maintained with well stocked kitchen and lovely bathroom. Furniture looked extremely new. Everything we needed was available so we spent a very comfortable week there. Our host communicated with us really well and we found the neighbours in surrounding properties very friendly.

Great stay
We stayed as a family of 3 including a 22 month old toddler. Little Avalon was great for what we wanted - it had all of the amenities we needed for our stay in a lovely location with shops, restaurants and bars within a stones throw away. It also had that all important car parking space which we needed to travel around and see all that the area had to offer.
Communication with Andrew was brilliant from start to finish.
We would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

Welcome break
We enjoyed a lovely few days at Avonlea. Great little cottage, 2 spacious double bedrooms, and felt very cosy.
Andrew gave us plenty of information about the area and recommended places to go and eat.

Little Avalon is a great cottage in a lovely location. Very close to the village but tucked away down a very quiet lane. Exceptionally clean and tidy with everything you could need, the owner left a much appreciated welcome pack. Highly recommend staying at this cottage and will look forward to staying again.

Little Avalon~ a haven
The property was very comfortable and convenient. Designated parking was a bonus and location convenient. Owner provided useful information and we enjoyed a wide variety of trips and visits. A beautiful area which I am sure offers seasonal variety.

We had taken things we needn't taken, ie cloths / coats hangers, ice cube tray, extra toilet rolls, hairdryer.
There was plenty of washing powder and liquid and sponges. I will say, you might want to pack a sharp chef's knife otherwise the kitchen is well kitted out.
There is not a lot in the actual village but do recommend the coffee and Tapas take away from The Ferryman deli. There are some beautiful coastal walks and you can drive to Tenby. Also recommend Colby Woodland Gardens and walk into Amroth. Narberth is a beautiful little town about 30mins drive away.
I would fully recommend a stay at the cottage. The people in the village are also very friendly.
