Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck. Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #257A will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center. Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units. Great location, near restaurants and quiet setting right on the beach. Miniature golf on sight. Comfortable mattress, and enough amenities to allow for simple meals, snacks, and breakfasts. First time staying on Longboat Key. We plan to return!

Property was nice. We had a small suite, but didnt have a kitchen sink. Good enough for 2nights. Not a 5 star place, but fair.price and walk right onto silver sand beach and gulf of mexico. Visited Anne Marie Island and St Armands circle for.dinner, Publix, cvs nesr.by, quiet tonrelax and nice warm pool for after beach to swim and relax in , nice weber grilles and sand chairs and umbrella, pool noodles etc for beach. Would go again. Land line telephones.in room and outdated

This was great for a two night getaway. Very quiet. Love the on beach access. AC is cool. Clean. I live in North. florida. Its nice to be able to drive to Caribbean feeling area. Longboat key is Gorgeous.

This place is beautiful..the property and beach was perfect..we really liked how its not overpopulated with very few ppl..we seen all kinds of diff animals and wildlife and collected plenty of big shells..the heated pool and putt putt was awesome to have so its great for kids and adults..the ocean water was clear and warm..i would def come back and highly recommend if ever have a chance to stay here at this beautiful place..This was our perfect getaway!!!

We booked our stay very last minute and couldn't of been happier with our experience. Margaret was exceptional, give the woman a raise! The amenities were exactly what we needed for a one night stay on the beach, but we could have spent the week. My husband and I will absolutely seek out another trip to Silver Sands, no question.

We loved our stay at Silver Sands, the location is perfect... literally 40 steps to the beach. The pool area is absolutely beautiful, well maintained and clean. There is a laundry room on site which is really handy. We will be back for sure, thank you for a great stay!

The location is great and there’s literally a few minutes walk to the beach. The unit could use a little facelift but all in all it was clean and well appointed. The only negative is the pillows. I had to go buy two of my own to prevent having a neck ache my entire trip! This is a small thing to change, but would be well worth it!

Nice place, right on the water! Peggy, the guest receptionist was very nice and accommodating, she gave us suggestions of places to go and restaurants close by to get a bite to eat. We even inquired about a tree that was right outside our door and she found out the name of it for us! Great customer service. Our room was a studio and it was perfect for the two of us. It had enough drawer space to place “all” of our clothes ( 2 suitcases) and a place to hang our shirts etc. laundry on site and the pool and pool area is beautiful! Also, the beach was literally 40 feet away from our room!
If you are looking for a clean, affordable and place to rest your head at night while you enjoy the beautiful beach of Longboat Key and all of the others around you will love this place! We will be back next year!!! Thank you!

Quiet setting, on the Beach

The location was amazing. The room was ridiculously small. They give you dishes and microwave, but no sink, no dishwasher. It really was only a hotel room and I thought it would be more of a kitchenette and a studio. There was not even a couch. Just one hard chair to sit on.

My husband and I just wanted a few nights getaway and this place was perfect. Beautiful beach. Unit was exactly as described! Honestly this place was prettier in person. We will for sure be back. Staff was also extremely friendly.

I was looking for a place between Sarasota and Bradenton where I could be close to the water and it wouldn’t be too expensive. As luck would have it I found this unit on VRBO. It is clean it has many conveniences and best of all you walk out back and there is their private beach. I enjoyed every sunset. I look forward to staying here again.

Very relaxing! Beach not crowded. Easy check in and out. Clean and appreciated the availability of beach umbrellas and chairs. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Perfect location if you love the beach! Just steps away from a gorgeous private beach. Very quiet and relaxing place. Free beach chairs and umbrellas were a very nice bonus and the lady at check in was super nice! The room is small but clean and comfortable. The pool looked nice also but we never used it because we are all about the beach.

My husband and I stayed in a studio and it was perfect for the 2 of us. Direct beach access with incredible breath taking views. Very clean. Great places to eat nearby. We recommend Harry's, Green Zebra & Turtle Tea! If you are up for a challenge we recommend the Tree Umph! Great fun!

Silver sands was incredible to work with and a fantastic place to stay
My husband and I stayed in a studio and it was perfect for the 2 of us. Direct beach access with incredible breath taking views. Very clean. Great places to eat nearby. We recommend Harry's, Green Zebra & Turtle Tea! If you are up for a challenge we recommend the Tree Umph! Great fun!

Enjoyed the beach for 9 days , Hotel has great beach lounge chairs, and umbrellas for there guests, there’s a Publix and a CVS 6 miles south of the hotel and it’s on Longboat, super convenient no crowds on Longboat either. Super peaceful if your an older couple , there’s a small private store just a half a mile south if you need something quick like snacks and ice etc. the smaller unit was just right for a couple on a budget, I highly recommend it. If your really wealthy you might want to stay somewhere else if you’re super picky, it is a super clean Hotel.

Silver Sands didn’t disappoint

Clean and well kept!
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean and just steps away from the ocean. The only suggestions I would make is putting a king size bed and full size refrigerator in this unit. There is not a ice maker on property and no where to keep ice if you by it. Other than that we have nothing but positive reviews.

Pool was out of service the first and part of the second day (not mentioned at the time of the booking and didn't find out until arrival) but I was able to use one nearby. Other than that I was satisfied.
