About this house rental

Situated in Richmond, this attractive house for $197 per night is a great option for your next trip. This beautiful four bedroom home is the perfect place to use as home base for your Richmond getaway. This 1920 home has a lovely blend of Craftsman style furnishings and interior touches. The family room features a large sectional sofa, a 46 inch HDTV flatscreen TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, as well as lots of windows and gorgeous light. The living room is the perfect place to sit down and recount the day's adventures by the fireplace or over a meal prepared in the gas kitchen, cooked on the backyard grill, or delivered from any of the fine restaurants nearby. The ample bedrooms are each furnished with 32 inch flat screen HDTV televisions, as well as iPod docking clock radios. The house also features a local Richmond art & good books on area history. The Home: Your home away from home in one of the most historic cities in the world includes a formal living room with a dining area with seating for 6, family room with a large sofa and TV, all gas kitchen, three large bedrooms (One King, Two Queen) , and a smaller fourth bedroom outfitted as an office (but which can be furnished with a Pack and Play), one full bathroom with bathtub, and one half bath . The approx. 1900 sq. ft. four square layout is very traditional to this area, and features hardwood flooring, original craftsman design details like french doors and mullioned windows, and both vintage & modern furnishings. The bedrooms are located on the second floor along with the full bath and a sun porch. There is a large fenced backyard as well as a park at the end of the block for the little ones to play. There is also off street parking for one car and freely available on street parking in front of the house for others. Close to everything: The home has a spectacular location which is central to most of Richmond's attractions. You can walk to historic Belle Isle and a lot of the James River Park system less than a mile away. The Fan, Hollywood Cemetery, The Poe Museum, Tredagar Iron Works, Monument Avenue, Church Hill, and VCU are all less than 10 minutes by car. Downtown, MCV, Hollywood Cemetery, the State Capital, the Confederate White House, Shokoe Bottom, and Interstate 95 are more like 5 minutes. Further afield, there is a lot of Civil War history nearby and a day trip to Charlottesville, the Smithsonian or Colonial Williamsburg are worth considering. The Neighborhood: Woodland Heights is a tree-lined neighborhood of primarily single family homes with a small number of multi family homes. It sits between Historic Manchester (home to late 1800s industrial warehouses which are no loft spaces and retail) and Forest Hill (which features a number of restaurants, shops, and taverns). Each neighborhood is about 1 mile long, so the walk from my house to the Manchester Arts district or Forest Hill Shopping district is 10-15 minutes, and the drive is less than 5.
