Walking with friends
Well equipped and plenty of space for friends to join us for the evening after walking together during the day.

A comfortable property that is well equipped. There a lot of stairs up to the bedrooms and some people could have problems if not very mobile. Perfect location for those who like walking.

We weren’t sure we would be able to get to Reeth due to the flooding the week before our holiday. Lots of road closures, destroyed bridges, flooded properties. I contacted the owner who quickly replied confirming no flood damage to the property and advised us of alternative routes. The new journey took approximately 10 minutes longer, no time at all considering the damage to local areas.
We arrived to a lovely, clean cottage. Friendly local people. Beautiful location. Plenty of walks on the doorstep and close by for the dogs. Highly recommend the property and location.
We believed the back garden was secure for the dogs from the pictures but it wasn’t. It is actually a shared area so not suitable to let dogs roam free. The only downside to the property was the top floor bedrooms. We realised access to room 4 was via room 3, and was a mezzanine room. We didn’t realise bedroom 3 was straight above the main lounge area and that was the mezzanine room. From the pictures we thought room 4 was above 3. Anybody using bedroom 3 had no chance of sleeping until the rest of the occupants went to bed. For a short stay it’s not too much of a problem, however we stayed for a week so by the end the occupants of room 3 were totally fed up of interrupted sleep.
Think this is the ideal place for 5 guests, 7 if 2 are heavy sleepers or don’t mind being woken whenever the bathroom is used during the night.

Enjoyed our stay at Bellegreen in Reeth with a party aged from 6months to 88years. The cottage was spacious, if quirky in its layout. Despite the rain we managed to BBQ one evening, which was a great provision to have. Lovely spacious/kitchen room, with lower lounge and good sized upper lounge gave us plenty of family space to use. Good wifi availability too.
