Schoon, ruim, mooi hotel, aanrader!

Appartement is superschoon en heel erg ruim. Fijne airco. Mensen die er werken zijn heel vriendelijk. Je kunt handdoeken lenen om mee te nemen naar het strand of de warmwaterbronnen. Ontbijt is bij het zwembad (mooie plek!) en is heerlijk. Parkeren kan gratis en makkelijk naast het hotel. Goeie wifi.

Paraiso no paraíso

Conheço dezenas de paises, os quais utilizei diversos hoteis, desde grandes redes até hoteis simples, mas este hotel, foi uma das minhas melhores experiencias. Pessoas atenciosas e comprometidas, extremamente limpo, quarto extremamente confortável, café da manhã (pequeno almoço) muito acima do nivel com diversas opções incluso veganas que era o caso da minha esposa. Junta-se a isso, a ilha de São Miguel, um local maravilhoso, barato e com pessoas extremamente atenciosas. Foram 4 dias inesqueciveis. Conheço Islandia, mas os Açores além do custo de 1/5 do que gasta-se da Islandia, na minha opinião é muito mais bonito e diversificado.

Não foi uma estádia ...foi uma experiência!

Gostei de tudo , instalações, decoração, localização, piscina exterior de água quente mas tenho de destacar a simpatia de toda a equipa , foram fantásticos!

Não consigo assinalar nada, superou as minhas expectativas. Talvez deixe a sugestão de o horário de pequeno almoço ser mais cedo, no nosso caso tivemos de sair antes das 08h, mas até nesse pormenor foram atenciosos e deixaram-nos um pequeno almoço pré-preparado.

Great spot

The friendliest staff in my life, especially Sofia 🧡 Taking care of the guests at the highest level, they have an amazing detailed brochure of the best locations of the island, useful services and even a list of recommended restaurants. This allowed us to fully enjoy the island and spend an unforgettable vacation in the Azores. A large double bed, a shared equipped kitchen where you can not only drink tea, but also prepare a full meal. The hotel provides variety of breakfasts with lots of fruits and delicious puddings. Wonderful view from the hotel, comfortable space on the ground floor, private parking. They also provide you with three towels: for bathroom, for pool, for hot springs

There are very few outlets in the room

Simpatia dos funcionários, sempre disponíveis para ajudar. Do belo jardim e piscina(água com boa temperatura). Bom pequeno almoço. Cozinha bem equipada para que quer fazer refeições no hotel.

Unsere Erwartungen an einen ruhigen und entspannten Aufenthalt wurden leider nicht erfüllt.

Gut erreichbare Lage mit Parkplätzen, Supermarkt um die Ecke, Frühstück (bis auf den Kaffee) okay. Personal stets freundlich. Die Karte mit möglichen Aktivitäten ist sehr hilfreich. WLAN schnell.

- Unser Zimmer war direkt am Haupteingang, nur ca. einen Meter von Rezeption entfernt - Kakerlake in der Dusche (wurde durch Reinigungskraft entfernt) - Pool nicht beheizt, daher eiskalt (kälter wie das Meer!), Schwimmen unmöglich, kein einziger Gast nutzte diesen Pool! - Auf dem Zimmer keine Möglichkeit Wasser für Kaffee oder Tee zu kochen - Betten sehr unbequem und hart - Extrem hellhörige Räumlichkeiten (laute Gespräche anderer Gäste) - Hund vom Nachbarhaus bellt konstant von 1-4 Uhr nachts (ruhiger Schlaf unmöglich) - Leitungswasser hat KEINE Trinkwasserqualität, von der Rezeption wird Gegenteiliges behauptet (die Folgen kann man sich ausmalen) - Das einzige Fenster ist zum Innenhof hin, was die Privatsphäre stark einschränkt, daher Jalousien dauerhaft geschlossen. Unser Wunsch nach anderem Zimmer wurde abgelehnt aufgrund der vollen Belegung.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay here!

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The breakfast, room and shared kitchen were great and all staff were so friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions for things to do or booking activities. A highlight was that the outdoor pool had just recently (1 week before) been upgraded and is now heated to 30C, so we enjoyed that very much!

Volcanic ideal para desconectar en pareja

Me gusto el servicio de desayuno y el poder disponer de la cocina para poder tener y hacer tus cosas.

El olor de la habitación. El ambientador que se utiliza tiene un olor un poco incomodo al principio, luego de acostumbras. Y otra cosa que no nos gustó fue el piqniq que nos prepararon, fue bastante justo.

Ribeira Grande

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, they helped us book taxis and activities during our stay. We had hired bikes and they helped us with figuring out where to store them etc. It is in a great location, a 2 min walk down into Ribeira Grande and around a 15 minute walk to the other beach at Santa Barbara. There is a shared kitchen where you get all your own equipment and space in the fridge. Breakfast is brilliant with fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, toast, eggs, bacon, cereal etc. There are some nice areas the relax around the pool or an outside seated area (it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere once in the property and garden). There is a supermarket and launderette a few mins walk away which helped us as well.

Nothing really. Bedding could maybe be a tiny bit more comfy with a duvet rather than sheets (but that is being very picky).

We loved our visit to Sao Miguel. We hiked, went to hot springs, and enjoyed the beaches and cuisine

Volcanic charming house was perfect. The breakfast was amazing, the staff was extremely polite and helpful, and everything was spotless. The shared kitchen was very well organized and would have been perfect for cooking, although we only used it for making sandwiches for our lunches.

The Volcanic Charming House was a desirable introduction to Sao Miguel and the Azores islands.

Friendly staff, charming pool area, the kitchen access, really everything. Fantastic location to the beaches in Ribiera Grande and less than an hour drive to any tourist locations on the island. Also, great wine selection for an evening on the back patio or by the pool.

Had a great time, highly recommended!

Very friendly staff and beautiful pool and bar/breakfast area. Comfortable and large shower and good quality beds. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with loads of choice. Best value for money in Sao Miguel!

It was a personal service charming hotel. The staff was amazing and the breakfast as well. If you want a huge variety with all fresh made food this is it.

Could not find any outlets to charge our phone except in the bathroom

lovley boutique hotel and friendly staff!

Lots of thought and care has gone into this hotel. We loved the little touches, facilities and decor. The pool and bar area is really nice and a real bonus. There are lots of options for breakfast and the staff were constantly restocking the food. Parking is also available. We only stayed for a couple days and found restaurant/bar options in town limited, so would definitely recommended making use of the kitchen facilities on site, everyone has there own fridge and cupboard space which is handy.

Nothing! However, as we found the town quiet in June, making more use of the bar area in the evening or group cooking/meal nights could be a great addition 😄

Good breakfast (a lot of choices, only no frech juices), friendly staff (did not see the owners?), very nice property with a nice garden, good equipped kitchen, towels for beach, pool available, bathrobe available. big parking available

the hotel is kind of a mix between an bed n breakfast and a hotel. The breakfasts were very good. The rooms were quite comfortable and a good size. The staff was friendly and attentive. The location was excellent. I highly recommend this property

Very good

The property was well maintained with beautiful views throughout. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help when needed and offer suggestions of things to do and see. The room was clean and with cleanings as often as you would like. One thing we really appreciated was the towels that could be borrowed for use at the hot springs. The hotel was also well located in the town with everything within walking distance. Another big bonus was the option of paid laundry services, they were quick and efficient.

The room was pretty small and had poor ventilation making it hard for things to dry if wet. Also the bathroom door was huge and would block the toilet if left open.

Perfect oasis in Ribeira Grande

It is like a little oasis in the town! Everything is peaceful and lovely. The balance of self-serve and luxury was just perfect! There are also so many different spaces to enjoy in addition to the rooms… pool, living room, garden.

Great value!

it was a great deal for a solo traveler, like myself. I was able to walk anywhere in the city with great ease. The room is very nice, clean, and comfortable to relax and sleep in.

it could be a bit noisy outside… not their fault, just part of being in a city.

Lovely stay in Ribeira Grande

Free off-street parking. Good location with easy access to highway as well as being a short walk to the waterfront. Breakfast was nice. Kitchen available if you wish to cook or make some tea. Staff are friendly. Towels available for use at pool, beach, and thermal pools.

Noise travels a lot throughout the house.

Beautiful, relaxing, attentive, a joy!

Absolutely wonderful stay at Volcanic Charming House. The whole team payed such attention to details and took care of our requests (gluten and lactose free breakfast) with kindness, dedication and discretion. We extended our stay from 3 to 5 days, which says everything! Thank you, we hope to be back.

The room was facing the street, which was quite loud at times. Suggest to get rooms facing the garden/pool.

This is a wonderful place to stay and at a great value!

Breakfast was AWESOME! The Staff were so kind and accommodating. Extremely CLEAN facilities. Quiet room. Very comfortable bed.

The room (6) has no space for a 2nd persons suitcase. The internet was a little slow. No coffee in the room or in the common area before 8:00 am and breakfast at 8 instead of 7 or 7:30.

Very clean. Room service every day and great various breakfast. The staff gave us a good map of the island and valuable tips of what we should do and eat. They even gave us extra towels for our beach trips. The location is ideal to discover the whole Island in a short time.

Since we stayed a week, there could be more storage for our clothes. Also, there was no shampoo in the shower.
