About this cottage rental

Located in Kawartha Lakes, this attractive cottage for $463 per night is a great option for your next break. This property rents for weekly Monday to Monday periods only. With a maximum of 6 people. I do not have instant book because I screen my renters to ensure a good fit for you, for me and for my neighbours. No pets allowed unless given permission by owner after booking. This is a Beautiful 3 bedroom executive cottage on deep Big Bob lake with gentle sloping waterfront, and all the amenities you could need; 3 large bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, living room overlooking the lake; country kitchen (with expandable maple table) and large screen porch with comfortable furniture and eating area also overlooking the lake. As well, 2 large decks with ample furniture, dining room, large floating dock, garage, beautiful gardens, lots of parking and drive straight to the door. Boat launching can be arranged. Row boat, kayaks and a canoe are provided on this clean quiet lake that is great for swimming, boating, exploring and relaxing. Fire pit off the lower lake deck with wood provided. Minden is just a short 5 km away where you will find everything you may need. There are a number of steps leading to the lake and this property is not appropriate for individuals with mobility challenges. It is kid friendly, but toddlers would need a hand descending the stairs. Master bedroom has a king bed with a large ensuite that has double sinks and walk in shower. Other bedrooms are spacious, with queen beds. Bathroom 2 is a standard bathroom with tub and shower. On the main floor is a powder room. In the full walk out basement is a large den/TV area with, two comfortable couches. A Smart T.V. with DVD player, satellite and an assortment of movies and games are available on sight. Ping pong table is also provided along with other games for outside fun. A high standard BBQ with all the equipment you may need and propane is included.

People usually use reviews to complain about their experience, but I can't think of anything to complain about so I'll just list what was really terrific. The property is really beautiful and well maintained outside. There is a choice of deep water or beach entry and a canoe and kayak. Inside it has tons of space, more than we needed for four people. The kitchen is fantastic with absolutely everything you could possibly need and then some. There are just so many indoor spaces that I could go on forever talking about them. The TV room in particular is very well set up so groups can watch together. Everything combined to give us one of our best cottage experiences ever. I definitely recommend our hosts and their property.

Beautiful, huge, immaculate cottage on a lovely lake. Huge deck overlooking the lake. Large property with a boat, kayak and canoe included. My family had a great two week stay.

We had a good experience with this lake-front cottage near Minden. It was well appointed with everything you might need for a restful visit. The kitchen had EVERYTHING! We brought our own games but they had many to choose from in the basement. We had 4 adults (and 2 dogs) using the cottage for the week and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space or to gather together. The large back deck (with lots of seating) was ideal for keeping our dogs from wandering (we barricaded the steps off the deck with a baby gate brought from home). Questions were addressed quickly by the owners, Brenda and Barry. The docks were great for sunning/reading and the swimming was good. There are quite a number of stairs down to the water so if you are travelling with young children or mobility-challenged adults, this may be an issue for you. The only disappointment for us was the firepit. It's location was too close to trees/bushes and water (a nightmare with the numbers of mosquitos this year) with no flat land to gather some chairs around it. We never used it due to this. We would definitely consider visiting again. Stayed the first week of August 2017

My 3 adult children and me spent a wonderful week at this Big Bob Lake cottage rental! A very comfortable place...lots of space...everything you could need...everything in working order. We had a mix of weather and because of that the screened-in porch and indoor pingpong table made for some enjoyable indoor time. Views from both the deck and dock of this cottage were beautiful. Everything was well looked after, clean and organized. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating on the back deck with large dining table along with a high-end bbq to make cooking and dining that much more enjoyable. Friendly and unobtrusive neighbours....close-knit community where dogs feel both welcomed and enjoyed! Brenda and Barrie made sure that everything was in place for us...very kindly met with us to make sure all was in order. I highly recommed this cottage for families, friends, get-aways...it mixes comfort with the outdoors magnificently!
