This cabin is well organized, very clean, and beautifully decorated! The front porch was our favorite room. We spent hours there watching the abundant wildlife and listening to the sounds of the Watauga River. . The owner was tremendously helpful with our novice fly fishing efforts, and clearly cares about the quality of the property and the experience of his guests. This is one of the best rentals we’ve ever had. We also enjoyed antiquing in downtown Elizabethton and exploring the Sycamore Shoals historic state park. Outstanding!

This getaway was just what we needed. The cabin was comfy and the view was amazing. Great fishing off the bank or wading to flyfish. We enjoyed having a fire each night and roasting marshmellows.

Ed’s place is well appointed and well situated. It was clean and comfy. We especially loved the attention to detail in the decor. Ed was friendly, accessible, and knowledgeable. It’s going to be our go-to spot for future fishing trips!

The cabin was just what we needed for a couple of days. It was clean and comfortable. The location was easy to get to.

The cabin was perfect, had everything you could need. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the river and the wildlife. We met the owner and he couldn’t have been any nicer!

Owner is super nice and friendly. He came by to make sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was built , literally, by the owner and is a perfect get away. We enjoyed watching geese, ducks, a beaver, a heron and other wildlife near the river. We built a fire in the fire pit one evening. Roan Mountain is an easy drive from the cabin so we took a picnic there one day. This property was more than I hoped for when we rented it. No ice trays but that was no big problem. Just wish we could stay longer. We hope to return again when we need to escape daily life 😛�.

Absolutely loved everything about this rental. The owners had things stocked I wouldn’t even think of. We will definitely be making our way back and staying an extra day just to hang out there and relax.

Cabin is in back of neighborhood but has gated driveway and the cabin faces the river so you barely notice the neiborhood behind you. The owner was very nice.

My husband and I spent four nights at the cottage for the Bristol race April 7th. The cottage was perfect for us and we loved sitting by the river watching the ducks and geese and listening to the soothing sound of the water. Ed was quick to respond to the few questions we had and was a perfect host. You have to drive through a neighborhood to get there, but once you arrive you don't give it another thought as the cottage sits on several acres and the back porch faces the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely reserve it again next time we visit!

Perfect for a family of four to stay comfotably. We also entertained a small group of friends who enjoyed the grill, fire pit and all the outdoor space. We popped over to Roan Mtn one morning and the Blue Hole the next. So convenient to many great outdoor spots but also Johnson City, Bristol and Kingsport. Loved our little cabin on the Watauga!

We rented cabin as a birthday present for our son. He was equal distance to both Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain so he was able to ski both over his weekend stay.

Beautiful cabin on an incredible trout filled river. Cabin is very clean, well cared for, and the owner is very responsive to emails and calls. Wish I had more time to stay- I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone- especially fishermen! I will be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Ed,s cabin. He was friendly and helpful,also gave good fishing tips. The cabin was only about 16 minutes from BMS for the NASCAR fans. If you want to relax and hear the sound of the river in a delightful cabin, this is the place.
