Top quality holiday apartment.

A very nice place with roomy kitchen and bathroom. The view from the house is unbelievable. Although the parking is offsite but it is only 50 ft away. It is close to the designations that we wanted to visit, including Konigsee, Ramsau, Salzbergwerk, Salzburg and Chiemsee. The weather is so mild at the end of May. We had a great time.

Kann man wirklich empfehlen.
Schade fanden wir das 120 Euro für den Kurzzeitaufenthalt in Rechnung gestellt wurden, wir hatten für 4 Tage gebucht, hatten wir in den Bedingungen nicht gelesen.

Nach kurzer Rücksprache mit der Vermieterin haben wir die richtige Fewo bekommen. Die Bilder zeigen leider alle drei Fewo im Haus.
Wir hatten die mittlere Fewo und waren sehr zufrieden! Sehr sauber, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, viel Platz und Stauraum, super ausgestattet, super ruhige und idyllische Lage mit Blick auf Kühe auf der Weide, Berge und beide Schlösser.

Schöne, große Ferienwohnung - mit kleinen Abstrichen
Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Pluspunkte sind die beiden Bäder, die großzügigen Zimmer, der Balkon, der von drei Zimmern zugänglich ist und natürlich die vorzügliche Lage mit unendlich vielen Attraktionen in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Abstriche gibt es lediglich durch Kleinigkeiten (Verkrustungen im Backofen, die eine oder andere funktionslose Glühbirne, keine Schüsseln in der Küche und stumpfe Messer (wie anscheinend in allen Ferienwohnungen dieser Welt)). Leider waren die Bilder in der FeWo-Direkt-Anzeige irreführend: Dort sind Bilder von allen drei Ferienwohnungen gemischt, so dass wir dachten, es gäbe einen direkten Zugang zu dem schönen Garten. Es stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass unsere Wohnung im 1. Stock lag. Sehr zu loben ist aber die überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Betreuung durch die Verwalterin, so dass wir uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

Schönes Haus in bester Lage, super Ausblick auf Berge und Schloß!
Wir hatten die EG-Wohnung des Hauses Birkeneck, die uns insgesamt gut gefallen hat, jedoch insofern nicht der Beschreibung entsprach, als dass sich anstatt zweier Doppelschlafzimmer nur ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und lediglich eine Nische im Flur mit Ausziehcouch befunden hat. Aus der Fewo-direkt-Beschreibung inkl. Bilder geht dies nicht hervor. Es sollte kenntlich gemacht werden, dass es im Haus drei Wohnungen gibt und die Fotos mit „Fewo 1-3“ betitelt werden.
Auch ließ die Ausstattung (der Küche) für „Luxus-Komfort“ noch einige Wünsche offen, die jedoch von der netten Agentur-Mitarbeiterin auf unsere Anregungen hin, tlw. bereits erfüllt wurden.
Terrasse und Garten könnten etwas „wohnlicher“ bzw. ansprechender gestaltet sein.
Dennoch: Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen. Die Lage, die tolle Aussicht, Sauberkeit und Service waren prima!

Wohnung in toller Lage
Die Wohnung ist perfekt gelegen für Ausflüge in und um Schwangau. Sie war sauber und für vier Personen in der Größe ausreichend. Nach der Bewerbung im Inserat hätten wir uns allerdings ein Bisschen mehr Ausstattung (besonders in der Küche) gewünscht. Bessere Möglichkeiten den Balkon zu nutzen wären toll gewesen.

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Urlaub war super.
Einzig im Inserat könnte etwas genauer beschrieben sein welche Wohnung gebucht wird. In dem Haus befinden sich 3 Wohnungen. Wir war beim Online buchen nicht klar welche ich buchen würde und musste telefonisch nachfragen. Hat dann aber alles super geklappt. Vielen Dank.

However, we reserved this particular apartment specifically due to its location to the lake, and we were planning this portion of our trip to include many activities at the lake, and especially our teenagers who were looking forward to beach time. When we arrived at the office to pick up the keys, I asked where the closest access to the beach is from our apartment -- and that is when we learned the lake was dry. That news was surprising, and very disappointing. I feel we should have been notified much sooner of this significant change, and a discounted rental rate would have been appropriate. In addition, we had a very hard time finding the office to get the keys -- our iPhones were not registering the office address we had been given, and for quite some time there was no answer on phones numbers we were given. That inconvenience, in addition to the lack of a lake, were very discouraging. The apartment itself was wonderful -- the disappointing lake situation, and check-in/check-out process was not.

Great location and view!
This property was a fantastic place to experience Schwangau. The property had an onsight property manager who was very helpful with our after hours arrival and telling us about things in the area. The unit was very clean, but the listing is a bit misleading as there are 3 units in one house and the pictures do not necessarily match up with the unit you will stay in. We thought that we would have the nicer kitchen in the pictures, but did not. However, being on the top level we had outstanding views of Neuschwaunstein castle.

Perfect for only two adults and children
Loved the area, and apartment. Very convenient to nearby town(s) and castles and lovely walk and bike rental option. Will say that the two day beds in alcove (NOT second bedroom) for our second adult couple were not comfortable and better suited for children. The bed in large master bedroom was good. WiFi was weak so needs improving IF you need to work. Great parking and very quiet safe neighborhood. Good communication and welcome introductions by friendly owner. Great info package/booklet. Ok for casual cooking but could use a couple more pots etc for bid dinner cooking. Loved this region in autumn! Would definitely stay again if only two adults.

Where to begin? Having found the Birkeneck easily with Silke's detailed directions, we drove from Munich & were greeted by Cornelia on arrival, who showed us around the apartment & spent lots of time generously sharing her local knowledge with us.
The apartment was such a great retreat to return to after days out exploring by bike & on foot as well as some longer excursions by car to Legoland & around the countryside. It was in tip-top shape, clean, and everything worked. The kitchen had everything we needed to self cater & German supermarkets are wonderful to find delicious fresh produce in! We were glad of the laundry facilities as we did get quite messy spending as much time outdoors as possible. The master bed was really comfortable & the sofa bed perfect for the kids. The massage chair an added bonus after days of biking around. It was great to relax on the outside terrace with a glass of wine of an afternoon & look across the open fields to see Neuschwanstein Castle so close!
We have 3 children & the ground floor apartment was just perfect for us, with the children enjoying exploring the garden & rambling around the beautiful neighbourhood. The whole are is superbly quiet & we loved walking along the roads, meeting cows, friendly locals with their dogs & eating a couple of breakfasts in the nearby restaurant ( about 200 paces away). Bike hire was easy & we could have explored forever. The countryside is spectacular, green & lush, just beautiful. We didn't want to leave! There is so much to do, from biking, swimming in one of the many ( cold!) lakes, following Nature Trails, or just relaxing with a good book in the sun at the Birkeneck.
Fussen is a lovely little town with a great public park & a nice central pedestrian area. We even found ourselves in Austria a couple of times without realising we'd crossed the invisible border! We'd love to plan a future trip to experience the Christmas Markets & the snow.
All in all we can highly recommend the Birkeneck for a peaceful nature- centred holiday. It would be great for a larger group too as several families could stay upstairs in the other apartments.
