Farmhouse Style on the outside, bright and open inside. The cabin is nestled in the forest and affords a lovely view of a wooded hollow and distant mountain peaks beyond. The expansive, private-park setting at Sky Hawk is shared with just three other cabins. THE LAND When you stay at Sky Hawk Ridge, you won't stay inside for long. Roam the land and discover the wonders of this beautiful landscape. Enjoy misty morning walks through dew-covered fields. Watch golden sunsets over Ozark Mountains. When you walk along Sky Hawk's long ridge, you see up the Buffalo River Valley to layered green hillsides and distant blue ridge lines. You see rolling meadows with sentinel oaks, cattle grazing in lush pastures, deep green woods -- nature's beauty at every turn. Explore miles of private trails that wind through dense forests and beside crystal streams. Wildlife is everywhere -- deer, turkey, fox, owls, songbirds, and all sorts of woodland creatures. Be dazzled by spring flowers, blue summer skies, rich fall colors, or foggy winter mornings. Sky Hawk Ridge is a nature-lover's paradise all year long. LOCATION Sky Hawk is just off US 65 on the north side of the Buffalo River. Restaurants, canoe rentals and river access points at Grinders Ferry, Gilbert and Tyler Bend are less than ten minutes away, but at Sky Hawk you’re secluded and surrounded by natural beauty -- away from it all. The entrance is on the Gilbert Road (Hwy. 333), just 0.4 mile east of US 65. Two-tenths mile from the entry, across from an open meadow, a driveway leads down through the woods to a metal-roofed cabin with cedar siding, naturally weathered to blend with the surrounding landscape. Sky Hawk Ridge has 3/4 mile of park frontage, and the Buffalo River Trail is just steps from the property corner. The park trail leads about a mile down to a long, wide gravel bar at Shine Eye Bluff -- the perfect spot to picnic, swim, fish or enjoy a lazy afternoon. (Shine Eye is also accessible by road, a five-minute drive.) ACCOMMODATIONS Completed in October 2018, this comfortable home has plenty of room for your family or three couples. Stunning architecture and tasteful furnishings make the house memorable in its own right. High ceilings and large windows in every room let you see forest and sky all around. The interior is sunny and uplifting, like the great outdoors. There’s a two-story living room with a towering slate fireplace, a full-size dining room, two private bedrooms, and two spacious bathrooms with walk-in glass showers. In the sunny, tree-top loft overlooking the living room, there’s a queen size bed and sleeper-sofa with a comfortable memory-foam mattress. There are four homes at Sky Hawk Ridge: VRBO listings 1005119, 2844541, and 3613801.) Houses are spaced 500-1,200 feet apart, allowing plenty of separation for everyone's privacy. My husband and I stayed for the weekend with our dog. Lovely and clean house, very well maintained with all the necessary amenities. Communication was great with the owner as well. The hiking trails on the property could have used more up keep. Bug spray is absolutely necessary. Otherwise fantastic place right next to buffalo river. highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this property visiting the Buffalo River and exploring the National Forest. The cabin is absolutely stunning and cozy. Worked very well for our family. All the amenities we needed were on hand which simplified things very much. Host dropped off a pet basket at check-in and offered a neighboring basement property for shelter in case of bad weather, which was expected while we were there. We will be back this fall.

This beautiful modern cabin was amazing. Nestled on the side of hill, we felt like we were in a treehouse. It was just a couple of miles from the Buffalo river where you could rent canoes and kayaks or just hang out on the gravel bar and watch the cliff jumpers, which is what we did. We loved it.
The cabin was perfect. They do charge extra if you have more than 6 people. We had 7. The sofa bed was not very comfy, but we took that queen mattress out and put it on top of an air mattress we brought and it was great. All other beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all that we needed. We did use the grill, but it had two propane tanks. There are restaurants close by and a Dollar General also.
We had a great stay and would highly recommend this cabin. There are two other cabins on this property and more being built. You still have privacy because the property is so big. We loved walked the trails on the property and meeting other renters.

The property was awesome, beautiful! Only wish we gave ourselves more time to explore it! The cabin was awesome and came with a lot of ammenties to help make our stay fulfilling. Barbecuing and the campfires we were able to do right outside the cabin was so surreal. Especially, under the late night sky. Truly, can't wait to come back to this location during the winter! Ron, Donna, and Lori are all amazing as well! Great communicators and very respectful of their guests privacy. Such an amazing stay!

Absolutely amazing! The cabin is beautiful. The hosts have done an incredible job in creating and intentionally designing the place. We had everything we needed. The porch and views were so lovely. Location is perfect and so close to the river. We will be coming back.

We could not have been more impressed with Skyhawks cabin. It was the perfect balance of calm and energizing. It’s was immaculately clean, very well appointed and the bed was so comfortable.
The location makes it super-easy to get to any of the middle Buffalo river float sites. We will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful and super clean private luxury retreat with a wonderful host. Location couldn’t be better. Please do yourself a favor and float the Buffalo River and eat at Big Spring Trading Company or Skylark Cafe in Leslie while you’re up there. You won’t regret it.

This fabulous modern cabin was our home for several days during Thanksgiving week and it could not have been a more pleasant experience.
Everything was perfect in every way and we will definitely plan another trip to stay there! We take an annual trip to the Buffalo River and this has become my family's favorite place to stay. Cabin is amazing, very clean, and comfortable. Located very close to river. Great place for relaxing getaway with all the accommodations.

Only thing we wished for was a walking path to the river. (but that IS 2 miles away and it was 100+ for several days so that's ok, we skipped it)
Owners and property management are very responsive.
Would be fantastic for a family reunion if we rented all the cabins together.

This is a great property with plenty of trails on site and amazing outdoor activities to do near by. The place was perfect for my family and was just what we need to escape the craziness of the Mardi Gras season. The kitchen was fully stocked and the surrounding town had everything you needed. The property managers were very friendly and easy to communicate with. I had some questions prior to our arrival and they reached out to answer our questions. They made our stay comfortable and welcoming and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Buffalo National River.
