Wake up to beautiful watercolor sunrises, whale watching during whale season and romantic dining on the lanai with a 180 degree panoramic Oceanfront view! Ahh! Kauai! Guest Reviews: As advertised! Pictures were available accurate and the view is spectacular. 5 STARS The location is perfect and convenient. The bed is very comfortable and the fridge, coffee maker, microwave and Anna's by the pool were all great. Is as described. Gorgeous view! 5 STARS Easy communication and very easy keyless entry. Centrally located for going to most things. Would definitely come here again. From inside your studio unit or sitting out on your private lanai you can watch whales migrate during the season, see the occasional monk seal visit the shoreline, and relax to the soothing sound of the sea just steps from your tropical home-away-from-home. Islander on the Beach offers excellent studio options for accommodating 2 guests located in Kapaa, Kauai. This resort offers a great swimming pool with Jacuzzi as well as BBQ grills and a poolside bar. This complex is non-smoking. Centrally located on Kauai, this resort is only a 15 minute drive to and from the Lihue Airport. It's only a 45 minute drive to Hanalei Bay and 40 minutes to Poipu Beach. This complex is located behind the Coconut Marketplace, where there are shops and eateries for you to enjoy! There are several grocery stores within a 5 minute drive from the studio. Islander on the Beach Oceanfront Unit #246: This studio is great for Honeymooners, Couples, and parties up to 2! Newly renovated with Tommy Bahama style furniture, travertine flooring and granite countertops, this studio is newly decorated with beautiful scenic Kauai wall art. The Tommy Bahama KING bed has a memory foam mattress for your comfort. Linens and toweling provided. There is a new 50" flat panel TV in the studio. And Air Conditioning! The bathroom has a shower and bath tub. The kitchenette is equipped with a small refrigerator with a freezer section, microwave, coffee maker, and tableware. Cleanliness and Safety: In keeping with our high cleaning standards, our units are thoroughly cleaned for every guest arrival. Each property has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using EPA approved disinfectants. We pay special attention to high touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and remote controls. Our housekeepers are thoroughly trained on the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC. Note: This condo is not part of the Aston Hotel, meaning there is no resort fee associated. Daily housekeeping is NOT provided, and guests are not able to use the on-site laundry facilities. You can purchase a mid-stay clean from our cleaners for a sheet change and towel exchange for based on the services requested or you can use the laundromat in Kapaa only about a quarter of a mile away! We were so happy that Islander was our landing spot upon arriving in Kauai. It was convenient, the grounds were beautiful and the studio perfect for our needs. We grilled down by the pool and brought our dinners up to the balcony. We spent every meal we could on the balcony. We listened to the waves, watched the waves and enjoyed the beautiful scene. We had an issue with the keypad not working correctly that was resolved very satifactorily. The farmers market in the parking lot offered some tasty treats and the shops in walking distance were great for both groceries, alcohol, coffee and souvenirs. It was a great stay!

Pros: bed is super comfortable, view is fantastic, close to everything you need, plenty of lights, 2 beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach towels provided, which was very handy
Cons: big heavy furniture make room feel very crowded, kitchen was not stocked with basics like dish soap, foil, mixing bowls etc. floor is really banged up

This is a great room with a balcony looking directly out over the ocean. Just a few feet from the beach. An easy walk to great restaurants. The Happy Hour at the poolside bar is great as well and just steps from the room. We would stay here again!

This was the PERFECT place for us! Property was beautiful with stunning views. Very quiet but plenty to do nearby.
I've already recommended this place to my brother who may be planning a trip next year.

Clean but a little on the small side with an amazing view. It’s located in a beautiful resort community with walkable stores/restaurants. We had 2-3 bugs on the bed but other than that the place was very clean (also it’s Hawaii so expect some bugs even for the cleanest properties). Would absolutely stay here again given its great location/view/cleanliness

Our overall stay was very good. The property is super nice, well manicured, and the grounds are beautiful. The description of the unit is accurate, but it looks tired. Honestly, when we first arrived, it did not “feel” clean, but it was. The unit just needs TLC to bring it up to par with the beautiful property. The drawers on the cabinets are weak so I did not use them for fear they would break. So, we worked from our suitcases when it would have been nice to unpack for the week stay. The view and sound of the surf was awesome. Access to the Coconut Market Place was excellent. The ABC is within a 5 minute walk for just about anything you need including food and drink. There are several good restaurants and shave ice for a great dessert. The property to the south next door has the LavaLava Club (on the beach) and to the north is the Hukilau Lanai restaurant which is 5 stars. Parking was great and the front desk staff were very friendly.

Everything was straightforward and stress-free! All of the necessary information we needed for checking-in and for our stay was communicated clearly and in advance. We had no problems at all. Stayed in 246. Nice clean room with beach front view. This unit is on the second floor of a 3 floor building. There is a smart tv with access to Netflix, prime and other apps. It also has basic cutlery and plates. Ac in the unit with is a huge plus, but there is constant cool breeze due to its beach front location.

It is all torn up and ugly orange construction fence blocking my view!!!!. I wouldn't be quite so upset if I had been informed and given the choice to continue with my reservation. I also rented another unit from Kauai calls, and the view was compromised as well. I have been a return customer, I believe the ugliness of the construction to be a misrepresentation of what I had reserved. The agent Candace said she would rather lose my business than work with me on a suitable return of moneys paid. She also claimed she didn't know about the construction, but inquiring with other owners and the Aston, was told everyone knew. I was duped and I never got over the orange fence nightmare, It was too late for me to move to a different place. I have a case with the Better Business Bureau that you may look into. I will not be lied to and taken advantage of by this woman, who I have found many similar reports online about.

Amazing property with a view
As always, we enjoyed our stay in Kauai... This property is centrally located to dining, entertainment, and full access to other parts of the island. This was our first time staying on the second floor, while the stairs are a nuisance, the view more than compensated. The property is as promised with all the basic amenities needed, comfortable bed, a great swimming pool, hot tub, and bar. Everyone in the area including long term residents made us feel welcome. We had no complaints. I would definitely consider staying in this unit again if the opportunity to return presents itself. Thank you Kauai Calls, for being prompt, and flexible In scheduling as our needs changed due to Covid ridiculousness.
