It is situated on a very secluded private lot with 500 feet of waterfront and 70 feet of beach. The water depth off the beach starts around 2 feet and slopes gradually to deeper water with a hard sandy bottom perfect for swimming and playing. Enjoy all the great outdoor activities such as volleyball, horseshoes, relaxing on the beach. In the evening gather around the new fire pit ( 2020 ). The 9' dining table will allow everyone to sit down to dinner together. Rearranging the furniture has opened up the floor space nicely. Located on the warm private side of Lake Anna offers benefits such as not having to worry about heavy boat traffic for water skiing and swimming in the lake. You can have peace of mind while vacationing with your family and friends. Our goal since we purchased the property in 2016 is to continually upgrade and improve. We installed a new dock in spring 2017. We finished the game room. New in 2018 is upgrades to the kitchen. We had new granite counter tops installed. We have new hi speed internet that will all you to use your favorite streaming services. FYI, this property can be booked through Lake Anna rental properties dot com with no booking fee. This fabulous 6 bedroom, 4 full bath home sleeps 12 - 15 with an additional detached garage with recreational area of appx. 425 square feet with pool, air hockey, and foosball, Everything your children are looking for. Two master bedrooms (one on each floor) and one has a large soaking tub for a relaxing evening after being out on the lake all day. The home features a large 30 x 25 deck that overlooks the lake with a large gas grill for fun evenings with family and friends. A perfect place for an evening sunset or a cup of coffee watching the sun come up. This secluded point lot boasts 2 acres of privacy perfect for family vacations or reunions.

My family was so excited to be at Lake Ana for a family gathering for Thanksgiving. The home didn't disappoint any of us. The house is beautiful, clean, well-kept, well-stocked, spacious rooms (more than enough for all of us) and a very homely feel to it. The owner is extremely accommodating and replies immediately...which I really loved.
We loved, loved, loved the fire pit right next to the water. We also loved the fact that we were able to do karaoke, near the fire pit, because there was a pole with electricity right near the fire pit.
We had a blast and really hated to leave but seriously thinking about coming back in the summertime to enjoy the dock and water.
The only downfall is that the internet didn't work in the lower level floor (it didn't bother me at all but other family members wanted it downstairs). The host was informed and I'm quite sure he will rectify it.
Oh, there is also a gameroom which the younger group thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. You will too.

Jan's house was perfect for our group of adults with two toddlers. We really loved all the outside seating for having our meals outside, and the fire pit and dock and big lawns were great for spreading out. There were plenty of bedrooms for our group and tons of towels (not always a given!!). Jan was very responsive to the few questions and check in and check out were smooth and easy. The property was also not too far from the Dollar General or Food Lion/ABC Store so it was easy to get supplies. Recommended!

Fabulous house with plenty of room for a large group. The property is awesome with a fabulous lake view. Just breathtaking. Plenty of room for your group to spread out. An added bonus is the fabulous detached game room. Awesome hang out spot for the group of college kids we hosted. Down by the lake there is an amazing gazebo with a propane fire pit plus there is a wood burning fire lit perfect t for evening g fires and s’mores. Just an awesome weekend we had. We will definitely be renting this place again. Jan is an amazing owner and very responsive to texts and calls. 10 out of 10.

The place is nice and true to posting. Owner is friendly and respond to questions promptly. We really enjoy the fall season, with beautiful turning colors, scenery and kayaking.

We had a very nice work retreat at this location - peaceful, clean, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. My whole team agreed we'd like to come back next year. And the water really was warm, even in mid October! My only advice is to bring EVERYTHING you might need other than salt, pepper, hand soap, and dish soap. We had to immediately go out for toilet paper and paper towels because there was very little of each, and unlike other rental houses I have stayed in there were no condiments, shampoos, or other basic kitchen/bathroom supplies either left by other renters or supplied by the host. Luckily between the six of us we had brought everything else.

This is a great place for an extended family to stay. Definitely the best equipped house we have rented, including kitchen items, game room and sleeping arrangements. Location provides for privacy, with necessities within a 10-15 minute drive.

This was a no brainer. Jan was a wonderful host, promptly responding to questions and concerns. The house was very clean, with lots of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked for creating and eating meals. The game room and volleyball court were big hits every day. The gazebo and fire pit were also very popular for sunrise, sunset, and evening activities. There is plenty of water front and the dock was perfect to jump off. A downside in that there is no beach unless the boxed in volleyball court is being counted as such. The water was warm but the state park was not far away and was a very nice area to hike and swim. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great place to relax and enjoy the lake
Had a good weekend here with family to celebrate a birthday. The highlight was the fire ring and patio by the water. The kids loved playing in the water which was nice and warm even in October.
Double check the listing about what is included. There was no extra toilet paper so bring your own. Kitchen was stocked but it would have been nice to have foil to use on the grill. Overall though was a nice place and would definitely come back.

Cougar point
We had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful! The water was too warm to swim in but perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. The state park is a short drive away where the water is perfect for swimming. We would definitely recommend this property.

It was a great place with lot to do for a family vacation.
there was not one person out of the 13 people who were there had anything negative about anything. It was very relaxing with a lot of land to have family games, volleyball, horse shoes, swimming, boating, and much much more.

Well appointed and comfortable
The house was clean and had everything we needed for the kitchen. So many VRBO houses don't have basic kitchen items, so it was really nice to have everything for cooking big family meals. The location is beautiful and the game room was fun for all ages!

Awesome view of the water and lots of land. Very cool game room. Very cool firepit. The owner was very accommodating. The electricity went out and he was over to help resolve.

Excellent long weekend getaway.
We had a mild November weekend in the 60's and were able to swim! The kids loved the play room, basketball hoop, and roasting s'mores by the fire pit. Mom loved the sun rises over the farms. Nana appreciated the paved boat ramp path to the dock and gazebo. The house has been expanded and updated well. There are sky lights across half the house bringing in natural light. This lot is large for lake Anna and has a gradual slop to the water. Our dog was in paradise with so much room to run. The deck is massive and accommodates 3 picnic tables, a row of chairs, and a grill with room to spare.

Great getaway during the fall
The best feature of this house is its location and the views and space it provides. We really enjoyed staying there, it gave us the opportunity to relax and recharge while reconnecting with nature. The house provides all the amenities for family and friends and it has all the things one could need. Jan, the host, was really attentive and responsive. The only downside was that the check-out time is too early and doesn’t give the opportunity to enjoy that extra day, at least partially. We are very happy with our stay and would love to go back again.

Great Escape
We had a wonderful time at Jan's place. The property is beautiful and even better than advertised, as well as much larger than the photos show. Even on a day when the weather wasn't great the lake was still warm and we spent the entire day outside. The home came equipped with everything that we needed and we had no complaints.

We enjoyed our stay!
We were looking for a house on the warm side of Lake Anna and this was perfect for a large family gathering. Between the horse shoes, fire pit, volleyball court and boat (rental) we all had plenty to do! The view from the deck is amazing and my parents really loved the gazebo. Jan made the process easy. Great Property on the Warm Side
Our group of 10 (including 6 teenage boys) had a great stay at Aspen Hill. The house easily accommodated 10, and could comfortably sleep much more. The back yard is fantastic, and we made use of the firepit each evening. The basketball hoop, which wasn't listed as an amenity, was definitely a hit with the boys. The convenience of renting a pontoon from the owner next door was also great.
Several of the previous reviews said the water was so warm it was unbearable. We didn't find that to be the case at all. The water was comfortably warm and the boys stayed in for several hours, well into the late afternoon. When we took the pontoon to a cooler portion of the lake, the kids complained that it was too cold!

September on the Warm Side
Our stay was at the end of September and the water was a very warm 94 degrees. The home is in a beautiful setting and we practically had the whole private side of the lake to ourselves for several days. The home is large with lots of bunks for kids and a detached game room they will love. Jan is quick to respond and provide assistance. We had a very good stay at Cougar Point!

Amazing Long Weekend
Our family of 8 adults and 7 children had an amazing Labor Day weekend at Lake Anna. The house had plenty of rooms for the whole family and the kids loved playing in the spacious yard and game room. Between the yard, deck, gazebo we were able to spread out and enjoy Lake Anna and the property. The Lake itself was pretty hot off the dock but we were prepared for that and the kids didn’t mind. We were also able to rent a Pontoon boat directly from the owner and take to cooler spots in the lake for more swimming and cruising. Overall we were very pleased.... great property, great views, and a great weekend.

A wonderful week with family
Our entire family spent a wonderful week at the lake. There are so many good points about this house. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate cooking meals for many people. The four bathrooms were appropriate for the number of people. While the bedroom layouts may not work for all families, we made it work for ours. One more bedroom with a full or queen size bed would have been perfect for our family, but, like I said, we made it work.
The game room was a nice place for the kids and adults to play. The yard was amazing. We commented all week how wonderful the grass felt on our bare feet and how much we enjoyed the sunrises and views of the water. The dock was really nice and the kids enjoyed jumping off of it.
The biggest downfall of the week was that the water was really hot. We were prepared for it to be warm because we were on the private side of the lake, but it was not refreshing at all. That didn't stop us from boating a lot and swimming a little.
All in all, we enjoyed our time at Cougar Point. There is nothing better than spending time with family and making unforgettable memories in such a beautiful place.
