Very nice cottage! When you enter you will be welcomed by all kind of surprises, like cookies, peppermint, sauces, cotton swabs and pads, soaps etc.
At the back and side of the cottage there is a very nice rural area you can walk by entering the next door meadow fence and walk uphill.
Streatley is a nice place to be for a drink, lunch or dinner, just a few minutes walk from the cottage.
The owners are very friendly and helpfull. We would certainly recommend the cottage for a nice and relaxing stay!

Perfect!
I would highly recommend this property.
All the communication before our stay was prompt and thorough.
The house was so beautifully furnished and it felt like we were staying in a well loved home rather than a rented property
The house had a cot and a high chair we could use and it had stair gates too; families had certainly been catered for!
The house was situated amongst beautiful countryside with so many walks on our doorstep. We enjoyed very early morning walks with the local cows In the field next to us. Our children loved this!
The quaint little villages nearby were all beautiful and certainly worth a visit. We had some excellent meals at the local villages too.
I hope we can visit this property again.

Nice clean property, surprisingly spacious. It’s right next to one of the loveliest parts of the whole South East of England - the walk up to the top of the Holies to look over the Goring Gap is spectacular.

Beautiful Cottage, Great Country Location
The Old Stables cottage is well equipped and comfortable. It's also perfectly located just a short distance to the centers of Goring and Streatley, two perfect English villages on the banks of the Thames. The property sits right next to National Trust lands for hiking, bird watching etc. My family loved our stay and hope to return.

Great stay in lovely property in beautiful area of the country
Stayed here with my wife, brother and our elderly parents on a visit to other family members. Ideal for us as there was a gound floor bedroom with ensuite for my parents, both in their early 90's. The property is expertly laid out, with many personal touches. You can tell this property is lovingly cared for.
We had a great stay and will certainly come back here if we are again in the area. Highly recommended.

Lovely well appointed cottage, plenty of room for a family to stay. Would highly recommend!
We are a family of 5 who recently stayed for a week at this cottage. It is set in a lovely village which is very peaceful but provides easy access to Oxford, London and surrounding areas.
The cottage is spotless and very well maintained, we instantly felt at home. In particular the kitchen is of a high standard and has a surplus of cooking equipment which is often lacking in holiday homes. The downstairs wet room was fab for our oldest teenager! The living area is very comfortable with plenty of space. Both upstairs bedrooms are very pretty and of good size. During our stay we were lucky to have fabulous weather which meant that we made good use of the enclosed garden. Finally, the washing machine in the outhouse meant that I didn't return home with loads of washing, a definite bonus!
We honestly had such a lovely holiday, Thank you so much Sue & Martin, we would love to return for another visit.

Once again the moment we entered the front door of Linden Cottage we were greeted by the owner who takes a great deal of pride in her premises. The charming interior is decorated so exquisitely. Once again, everything we required was at our fingertips. Adore this cottage and wouldn't hesitate to make it our third return visit to our home away from home MM, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

We were thrilled to find this cottage close by to lots of attractions, amenities and a wedding we were attending in Henley as a family of 4 (2 under 2). The owner obviously takes great pride in the house and rightfully so. The photos don't do it justice. It is fairly compact but so thoughtfully laid out, decor is very attractive and homely. A lovely touch was the Christmas decorations including a tree - thank you! Unlike many self-catering accommodations, this was very well stocked with everything you need eg. Kitchen utensil and basic essentials. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

My family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children, 13,11,9 and 7) stayed for in the cottage for a week. It was simply 'home from home'. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. It had 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a further separate toilet and ample living space we never felt on top of each other even with 4 children running around. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and immaculate. The cottage is situated next to some fields, our children loved watching the horse, cows and calves. The surrounding area and villages are lovely to wander into. We used the cottage as a base to visit London (train station 5 mins away), Windsor, Thorpe Park, Chessington, Coral Reef Water Park, Oxford and Reading. If we visit down south again we would look to stay here again. We would definitely recommend!

The Old Stables
Very comfortable for the two of us occupying just the ground floor accommodation of this recently constructed Eco House for almost 4 weeks between house moves. There was ample off road parking and good adjacent access to the A329 and the National Trust 'Holies' chalk hillside. We enjoyed weekend walks from the doorstep with far reaching views over the River Thames valley and Chiltern Hills, sometimes in the snow. Our constructive comments would be :- A shelf in the shower in the wet room, a couple of serving spoons and another, perhaps smaller, chopping board in the kitchen and perhaps a few more paving slabs by the front door to prevent some of the gravel coming in.

Lovely property
I booked this property for a business team meeting as it was fairly close to the office and we didn't want stay in a hotel. The property was lovely, the pictures do not do it justice. The accommodation was as described and I liked the fact there was a bathroom downstairs as well as upstairs and an additional separate toilet. I would mention that if you are very tall (over 6ft) you may struggle a little with the upstairs bathroom as did one of my party, but we noticed this early on and she took the downstairs bedroom/bathroom. Shops are a 15-20 min drive away, but you don't mind that when you are driving through such lovely scenery. The local pubs again a short drive away were great, as recommended by Sue the owner. There is an amazing farm shop on the way back towards the M4, fair price but such great quality. Sue was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. I would definitely use this property again for business purposes and if I lived further away as a holiday home as well.

Beautiful Cottage & Location
My family stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. There was plenty of room for the seven of us and the house was new and clean. We were impressed with the quality of everything in the house and it had everything we needed. There was plenty of things to do in the area (Basildon Park is 5 minutes down the road), but we also took day trips to London, Bath, and Oxford as it's a good central location. I would love to come back again.

Linden Cottage
The listing description, layout and facilities far exceeded our expectations.
Exterior of this property was neat and clean with the addition of thoughtful accessories to make a guest feel so welcome.
The interior was beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Believe me, no photo can do this delightful cottage justice.
Wonderful owners, very accommodating, thoughtful and courteous. Cannot say enough good things about the owners.
There is absolutely no doubt this property will be recommended to friends and relatives. The word is already out.
From the moment we stepped inside, there was total agreement; we had absolutely made the right choice. We could tell the owners held pride of place with every effort they made to create this charming cottage.
A cosy retreat for us. A home away from home. So very pleased indeed. We will return.

Lovely cottage in nice location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is new and was very clean and comfortable. A lot of care was put into designing and building this cottage and it show. The decor is great as well. All in all a very nice cottage to stay in in a convenient location as there are lots of things to do and visit nearby.

This property is a very well appointed new build. It lives up to the description and is beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable there with accomodation suitable for our needs. Our party included an infant and a wheelchair user. The surrounding area offers lots of activities and excellent nearby watering holes. We would recommend it and hope to revisit in the future.

Lovely Cottage
My wife and I stayed at this cottage for four days at the end of January 2014. We picked it because it provided a good base for visiting family and friends in the area. We found it to be very warm and comfortable, well-equipped and in a very good location with nice walks on the adjacent National Trust land. It is set back from the main road and very quiet at night. We would definitely recommend it and would like to stay there again - preferably in spring or summer when the weather might be better!
