This property is nice and well kept. It is remote but well located to be able to reach most of the mid-Cape easily and quickly. Be aware that the apartment is essentially the basement of the host's home with a outdoor entrance. Unfortunately this meant we could hear them moving around early in the morning. Be sure you like friendly dogs.

We just stayed at Suzie's and really enjoyed it. The place is so peaceful and calming. We loved relaxing on the deck and watching the horses. Suzie is a great host and took us to the barn so we could meet them. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by Hurricane Henri. We definitely plan to return as soon as possible. Thanks for everything Suzie!

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway or week long stay. Already planning a fall weekend. If you like animals, this place is for you.

Cape Cod Getaway
Adequate for our short stay, but nothing special. The extra paid for cleaning was certainly not justified.

A Different Place
This apt. was in a very secluded place with nature all around, including horses. The mornings on the outside deck were sublime, as were the evenings. The owner who lived above the apt. was very friendly and helpful. Our week there was a pleasant experience.

Relaxing and convenient
This was a lovely private place to stay, but was super convenient to the rail trail, Nickerson State Park, and beaches. The place was cozy but not cramped and great if you have a dog. Suzie was an excellent host.

Everything was as advertised. Cozy apartment, well located on mid-cape.
We enjoyed our stay at Suzi's farm. Very rural and quiet but close to beaches and restaurants. Suzi was like a friendly, helpful neighbor. She was very attentive to our needs.
If you like a nice sunrise in a beautiful rural setting with the sound of horses, you will feel right at home. This would make a great fall destination as well. Say hi for us. Jim and Ruth

Great location & property, small space
Suzie was a pleasant host and her property offers a quiet, serene setting for any traveler who desires a taste of nature on the Cape. It's conveniently situated close to lots of restaurants and seafood shacks, and only 5 min or so from the beach. Just what we were looking for!
Our 1 year old enjoyed seeing the horses and bird watching from the outside sitting area.
The space is quite small and isn't really suitable for more than just a couple (we traveled as a couple with our 1 year old and dog and it felt tight). It is however dog friendly, which is always a plus.
The rental has just enough to do some basic cooking, but not enough for full meals. More reason to eat out while on vacation lol.
We were quite disappointed with the level of cleanliness when we arrived, especially considering the pandemic we're in. There were basic areas we expected to be cleaned more thoroughly for a stay under normal circumstances, and other things that we felt definitely deserved more attention. We did a thorough clean upon arrival in order to feel more comfortable for our stay. This is an easy fix for Suzie, but we did want to give an honest review of the stay.
All in all, we enjoyed our vacation on the Cape as we normally do, and it was fun exploring all Brewster and the neighboring towns had to offer.

Beautiful place to spend a holiday
We had really good time, this property is very nice and good positioned as well. Everything on Cape Cod is just a short drive away, Suzie is really kind and she cares about her guests. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and the view.

Brewster Getaway
This is a hidden gem! Everything that one could possibly need was already stocked and ready to use. We did not have to bring anything other than ourselves and luggage. Locationally, being in Brewster seconds off of 6A is hard to beat. Added perk, enjoying morning coffee outside while watching the horses was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend renting with Suzie!

Exactly as described, exactly what we were looking for
The description says it perfectly...Cozy Apartment on a Private Horse Farm Near Beaches & Woodland Conservation
Suzie was extremely accommodating and responsive, while giving us our space and allowing us to feel right at home in the apartment. Her home is in a beautiful area, and her property gave our stay an extra bit of charm on top of the usual Cape Cod character. The location is central to area attractions and conveniences. We'll definitely stay again the next time we are in the area.

Lovely location
The apartment is as it pictured, although no mention that it’s in fact a lower level/basement apartment. There was a faint musty smell, which is par for the course, but was a bit bothersome for us. The kitchen has all the essentials, however, I wouldn’t try to prepare a meal there, but is fine for reheating food. There were appliances and pots that were very long in the tooth. We were woken two of the 3 morning we were there, once by an upset horse neighing endlessly and the second morning by the plumber - we aren’t early risers, so this was disturbing. Suzie is very friendly and helpful with suggestions, although never intrusive.

A quiet little oasis!
Thank you, Suzie, for the hospitality! Nothing like driving right up, parking, and walking right in (with a furry greeting from the adorable two black labs who live in the main part of the house). The full kitchen was fabulous, even with a Poland Spring dispenser. ;) The bedroom was a perfect size with A/C and a fan as options to keep cool in the summer heat (though the place does stay quite comfy temperature-wise, being under the main living quarters). The view of the horses was tranquil to say the least. It was quiet, cleanly, and just the right amount of living space for my husband and I who were in town and running amok for a family wedding. It was a great little place of respite when we weren't in the midst of family celebration. Perfectly located a two-minute drive (no exaggeration) from 6A, it was easy to get to Alfresco's for a lunch-time sandwich, the Brewster Coffee Shop for a morning brunch, and back/forth to Dennis where our favorite beach and the wedding were taking place.
We can't thank you enough, Suzie!

What's not to like about this?
The link for this property accurately reflects the experience of it. It is a basement apartment without a feeling of being a basement because it is open, with windows, on three sides and the long wall with windows faces east. This wall opens onto an outdoor seating area that is a great place to eat breakfast al fresco as you listen to the birds and watch the sun rise over the tallest of the trees. Not that that's all there is to watch. Beyond the sitting area, the property slopes downward to a pond and, beyond that, a stable where there were, by my count, three horses. When I arrived, the owner and a friend had just returned from a ride. The owner is engaging without being meddlesome and gave a good orientation to the place. The place is homey and well-maintained; the kitchen area is well equipped--you could all your meals there if you, inexplicably did not want to enjoy the Cape's many great seafood restaurants, there's a comfy couch and area to read or watch television, comfortable bed, and good-sized bathroom with good water pressure and water flow from the shower. The place comfortably accommodates two, but a child could sleep on the couch and certainly there's room for an air mattress or air mattresses. The only item to be aware of is that, from either end, the road leading to the property becomes gravel for about a half mile. Driving along it requires attention, because there are some serious potholes, not many, but serious enough to require one to drive slowly and carefully. The upside is that the place is quiet, with a lot of nature sounds, and a feeling of privacy. While something to be aware of, the gravel road would not keep me from returning. The home is five to seven minutes from the Brewster beaches, which are quite long arcs of gently sloping sand on Cape Cod Bay. An additional attraction in this lovely area is Brewster's Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters, which has wonderful coffee, seven to ten minutes down Main Street in Brewster. Supermarkets are ten to twelve minutes away. In all, a lovely place to stay, well positioned to enjoy the beauty of the lower Cape or use as a base for more extended exploration.
