From Utbjoa, not far from the house, a ferry goes to the neighboring islands. On the island of Halsnøy you will find Halsnøy Monastery from 1164, which has been converted into a museum and in the summer there is a cozy café. In Bjoa and surroundings you will find a beautiful hiking area. Also visit the open-air museum Stuhaug Turisme og Gardsmuseum in Ølen and Hovlandstø with two petroglyphs and five Bronze Age stone mound graves.
