We had a great week. Thank you, Julien, for being so welcoming, and for all your good advice about things to do and places to eat. The beds were super comfortable (thank you for the extra pillows!), super shower, good cooking facilities and coffee machine. The apartment is light and airy – and that view from the terrace! We’re a senior couple in very good shape if you have problem with steps this is not for you. But overall I would stay there again with no hesitation

Nous avons passé un séjour génial. L’appartement est idéalement placé, on peut difficilement trouver mieux. La terrasse offre une vue sublime sur Marseille.

Everything was perfect, even better than advertised. Great host who communicated very quickly and had lots of great tips! The patio is the best part but absolutely everything was great. Highly recommended!

This apartment is on an unassuming street right around the corner from the Port. It sprawls over two floors, so it is plenty roomy. I hope you get to check in at sunset as we did, because when Julien showed us the balcony, it took our breath away. THAT VIEW IS SPECTACULAR! The bedroom on the bottom floor is a little bigger and right next to the full bath (the description says 0 full baths? That's not accurate, of course. There's a shower/double sink and WC on the bottom floor, with a separate WC on the top floor). The street below is LOUD, but the windows shut out the sound. There is no A/C, but in October the fan was adequate, even with the windows closed. The kitchen is well appointed with several types of coffee makers, and some supplies. Grocery store is right around the corner, along with a Starbucks and pastry show (delicious croissants!). Two of the pictures for this listing show a building facade -- this is actually the building across the street (can be confusing if you think this is the actual building the apartment is in). There is a new French Burger that has opened in the bottom of that building, right across the street, and it is quite delicious and the guys in there are wonderful. We ate there twice! The size and location of this apartment make it a great base for your stay, but that balcony view is the true selling point. The pictures don't do it justice! Julien is a wonderful host. He met us at the apartment, showed us around and spent a lot of time going over the area map and suggesting sites and events. He also owns the apartment next door, and as he was working there on the first morning of our stay, he brought us croissants for breakfast. We really enjoyed working with him. You will be right next door to the Hotel Hermes. If you need a taxi, their front desk will get one for you thanks to a prior arrangement with Julien. They were so very helpful and spoke great English. It really worked out well for us, even when I had to leave at 5:30 AM for an early flight. This is not a fancy apartment, but we loved staying here and making it our home base in Marseille. Having our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on that balcony will be a memory we will always cherish. Thank you, Julien, for sharing your apartment with two Mississippi girls. It was a fantastic trip!

Leider fehlte der im Inserat vermerkte WiFi Zugang. Der Mitte Woche mögliche Zugang zum öffentlichen "Free WiFi" war mühsam, weil immer wieder eingeloggt werden musste.

Super séjour dans l appartement de Frédérique et Julien. Nous avons ete accueillie très chaleureusement par Julien qui nous a donné plein de bons conseils pour visiter la ville. L appartement est agréable et bien situé. Les petits déjeuners sur la terrasse sont un réel moment privilégié. Nous y reviendrons si nous revenons à Marseille !

Het was een prachtig appartement, op een prachtige locatie. Het uitzicht is verbluffend. Ook de inrichting en de aanwezige apparatuur is prima in orde. Het enige missende vonden wij was toch iets van verkoeling, zoals een airco. Het was er nu wel intens heet.

We had a lovely stay in Marseille. The apartment is very nice, especially the balcony with it's incredible view. It's central location is convenient with a supermarket, bakery and several restaurants nearby. The owner met us at the apartment on our arrival and gave us lots of useful information. The area is very lively in the evenings on the port. It was particularly hot while we were there and 2 of the bedrooms have small windows. As other reviewers have noted, two of the bedrooms are linked which could pose a problem for some guests. Overall, thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday!

Best feature is the terrace with spectacular views of the Old Port and the Notre Dame cathedral (beautiful at night time). Owner was very friendly and helpful and had provided lots of leaflets/information about things to do in the city and nearby. I would highly recommend this property. There are many good restaurants near the property and a daily fish market. Notre Dame is a must see and a boat trip to the Calanques is recommended. There is nothing to dislike about Marseille - what a great city!

Appartement très bien situé, propre et bien équipé. Propriétaire très accueillant. Seuls petits bémols, la 3eme chambre en mezzanine sans fenêtre et très basse de plafond avec passage obligé par la 2eme pour sortir et la terrasse avec accès par un escalier assez raide depuis le balcon. A ajouter peut-être dans le descriptif. Hormis ces petits inconvénients, appartement très agréable dans lequel on a passé un excellent séjour.

We were 7 people (4 adults, 3 children) living there and there was enough room for all of us. The description and the pictures in the advertise conforms with the appartment and the owners are accomodating and nice. The appartment is clean and fresh and has everything you need. Just a few minutes away from the appartment you find an U Express, a vegetable and fruit store and a really good boulangerie. Down by Vieux Port you can take the bus and the Metro. You can also take the boat to If, Frioul, Les Calanques and L´Estaque. We highly recommend a visit to Frioul. Only a walk away you will find Le Panier, a beautiful old part of Marseille with many restaurants and artists. The nearest beach is Les Catalans, about 20 minutes walk, but we recommend to take the bus to La plage de la Prophéte or the Malmousque instead. This is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit Marseille, we highly recommend it to anyone.

Nous sommes venues passer un week-end à Marseille entre copines, et on ne pouvait pas rêver mieux comme appartement pour découvrir la ville: idéalement situé sur le vieux port d'où partent les bus, le métro, les bateaux pour les calanques ou les îles du Frioul, à deux pas de la canebière et du quartier du panier très joli (même sous la pluie...) L'appart est bien aménagé et les propriétaires très accueillants, qui nous ont donné des idées de visite et de sortie. Et surtout, la vue de la terrasse sur le vieux port est magnifique! Malheureusement la météo n'était pas de notre côté, mais nous reviendrons pour pouvoir profiter de la terrasse!
