The property is absolutely gorgeous, along with the gardens and the sea view. The location is just great, being a 10 min walk to Malaga town centre or 15 mins to Pedregalejo which house loads of beach front restaurants and is predominantly Spanish which appeals to us.
Manuel the owner is a lovely man (lives on the lower level), willing to help in any way he can and gave us great recommendations for restaurants etc and was always on hand. It was a pleasure meeting him.
He also provided beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels which was great.
Obviously the fact that building work was being done whilst we were there was an inconvenience (Manuel is in the process of renovating the adjacent & upper areas of the Villa) however I have to say Manuel kept to a minimum, ie it was only the laying and cutting of marble tiles with no drilling of walls or floors etc, and it started after 10am which by that time we were up and getting ready for the beach, it did not spoil our experience.

Perfectly situated for both sightseeing and food. Lovely bars on the beach which is literally just across the road. Manuel the owner is so nice abd helpful. The villa is very good and the garden great to relax in. Would definitely recommend this.

Only downside was beds My friend and I were expecting a sofa bed in lounge and a double in bedroom but the double had been split to two singles not ideal when you have a king size to yourself at home!! Slightly noisy road but to be expected in a bustling city
I would return if bed situation could be improved.

Great vaulted apartment, everything you could need included, lovely garden to relax in and a walk across the road to the beach. Manuel the owner really friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again. Loved it !

Renewed cozy apartment with direct view on the sea. Well connected by public transportation. Dishwasher in the apartment. Good wi-fi.
Main gate to the building locked with a padlock, not very handy.
Very basic kitchenware.

INCORRECT ADVERTISING
Do not trust photos on site. No options given as apparently 2 apartments but the one advertised is obviously the best one with a lounge. Sad as garden was lovely.
Having seen the pictures on Booking.com of a pretty apartment with separate lounge (with sofa) and kitchen, we booked Villa Amalia in good faith.
We were accommodated in a spartan studio with a few plastic chairs in a corridor style room, with kitchenette (2 rings, no toaster as advertised and a travel kettle), separated from the bedroom by a curtain. We booked 7 nights but, due to the poor accommodation and owner’s attitude (“nothing I can do”) we felt the need to book flights home and at great expense.
