Baycrest Cottage has privacy. The outdoor shower in the cool October morning air is brilliant and the water is luxurious. The quiet road loops around about 7 or 8 miles and the beautiful Fort Point Lighthouse welcomes you about half way, perfect for a morning walk or run. The kitchen is not fancy, but well equipped with quality cooking tools. I enjoyed the sharp knives, large wood cutting board and the gas stove. You can make anything in this kitchen. It’s a wonderful working kitchen. We also enjoyed the fireplace at night for warmth and ambiance and sometimes in the morning to pull the chill from the house. The cottage sits beneath a dome of stars, in a forest rich with wildlife. It’s set up for a family with children. The many games and books, the swing set in the woods, the bay front and woods to explore, but also the beds are cozy and comfortable and clean. It’s just so sweet for children with adorable bunk beds and warm blankets. The TV hooks up to a laptop so you can access your own online accounts, in our case Netflix, but it does have direct TV. The wifi is strong. Your hosts here are truly hosting. You get the sense that they are thinking of your well being at every turn. I have crisscrossed the continent staying in many private places and this is one of my top personal favorites. Nearby are gorgeous little towns, museums, antiques, books, boats and arts.

The views from the deck and back yard were amazing. The home was spotless and in very good condition. The cooking utensils and pots and pans made cooming a joy. We enjoyed the quiet beach and serene lovation. Thank you to Norma and the property manager.

This place was perfect for our family's vacation! The house was immaculate and wonderfully appointed with nice cookware, cutlery, and linens. Having rented several places in my life, this is no small feature for a family that loves to cook. Gary (the property manager), was timely, very friendly and helpful with the layout and info on local points of interest. The small play area tucked into the woods was perfect for our small children and we had hours of fun combing the rocky beaches. The location was very secluded, quiet, and beautiful, a perfect cross of comfort and wilderness. We saw eagles, osprey, seals, loons, as well as schools of mackerel and menhaden. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and relax without hesitation.

To say this home is well-equipped would be an understatement. We enjoyed all the books, maps, and high-quality cookware. There is lots of space to explore in the woods and along the shore. Close to everything that you would want to see in the central Coast.

We have already booked for a second trip, returning to Baycrest Cottage next summer. The cottage met all our vacation requirements: a comfortable home, large outdoor space, water access, beautiful views and surrounding area with much to explore. My family of 4 adults and 4 kids comfortably stayed in the cottage. My favorite parts are the path to the water, the hammock in the woods and the picnic tables for meals, books for enjoying and wildlife viewing.
