The home has been nicely updated without destroying its historic charms and homely comfort. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Ten minute bike ride to the downtown and lighthouse with bike rental a stones throw away. Book, relax, and enjoy exploring everything Saint Simons Island has to offer.

Making Memories Cottage was the perfect spot for a long weekend with my adult daughters. The house was spotless when we arrived and is SO cute. The decor was beachy without being “theme-y” and honestly, I would have chosen all the finishes myself if I were decorating it! The location was perfect and was an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Mornings on the front porch swing were amazing, and although we didn’t use it, there is a really nice deck in the back yard as well. The landscaping was green and lush, and the hydrangeas were in full bloom. You can’t have a Southern lawn without hydrangeas! There are beach chairs and lots of towels provided. There are also some beach toys and games available if you have younger children. Bring your little ones because they are sure to love the bunk room! The kitchen is fully stocked with quality cooking equipment, but if you plan to cook, be sure bring EVERYTHING you’ll need, including salt and pepper. Not a complaint, but just FYI for others, nothing is provided except hotel-sized guest soaps, so bring paper towels, hand and bath soap, coffee filters, trash bags, extra toilet paper, foil, plastic wrap, zip top bags, laundry and dish soap, etc. It would have been great to have a supply of that kind of thing, but that doesn’t take away from my 5 star review. I just wish I had known because I would have brought those things from home. We will definitely come back to make more memories!

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The house was amazing. It was super clean, nicely decorated, had ample room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances. The bedrooms were nice size. Location was great. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Loved the swing on the front porch and the little sitting area outback. We would definitely rent again and recommend our friends to stay here.

This quaint beach cottage is perfect in every way! It is charming, comfortable, and in the perfect location. It is a quick walk to the beach and great restaurants and a short golf cart ride to the village. Jennifer was easy to work with and made the process easy! I would definitely recommend staying at this property!

Precious vintage cottage close and walkable to restaurants, sightseeing. Comfortable, kitchen looked recently updated. Front porch a definite plus. Questions were always answered by the owner. After a day of walking , driving etc. I was ready for a comfortable hot shower but water as at best was only warm. Called about the water thinking water heater was broken and was told temperature was kept low so no one would be”scalded.” The owner was “sorry “ it was kept low but did not come and check or adjust. Water was warm enough to get in and out quickly but I’m a good comfortable shower person! So was my guest. Carpet in back bedroom needs cleaning but hardwood floors and rugs were attractive. I loved this cottage but give me a comfortable shower or bath at the end of a busy day and you will be my 5!

Nice cozy little cabin very close to the beach and dining. We really enjoyed our stay on St. Simons Island!

We had a great stay - house was even closer to the beach than I expected and very convenient to the village. The home is very nicely updated and decorated! Would definitely stay here again!

This is our 3rd stay here and won’t be our last. We love it here. We have 4 little boys and the house is perfect with the bunk beds and open spaces.

Property was as advertised and communication with the host was excellent, very responsive! Only a 5 min walk to the beach (with a 6 and a 4 year old slowing us down!) and it was either on the sidewalk or on roads that weren't busy at all. A few good restaurants that were walkable (we particularly enjoyed Barrier Island Brewing) and it was very easy to get to the shops and restaurants on Mallery St (although we drove each time). Would highly recommend this property!

We hope to make this our permanent place to stay when we visit family on SSI each year. It's close to a place to rent bikes, close walk or bike ride to beach and some of the best restaurants; plus the village is a short distance!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property last week! It was just right for our family with 3 kids. Everything was as we expected it to be and the location was great! We all loved the sun room as a cozy reading nook. We would recommend this to anyone looking for an updated and convenient place to stay.

Cute place near a beach access point and the village. . It was on a road that is a bit busy but it was not a problem.

We absolutely love this property and have stayed multiple times. The owners are wonderful and the location of the house is perfect. We have brought many friends to the house who all are more than happy with it. Our two boys love the bunk room. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the island.
