Emerald Isle was a very nice, quiet/family beach vacation with some fun things to do nearby (good restaurants options, shops, family activities for the evenings). The property checked all of the important boxes for our family…it was clean, close to the beach, and had a very nice newer pool area. The top living area of the house was great and had nice views. The house had a lot of space and plenty of seating options inside and outside. Overall the house was pretty dated (though there were some updates were done like flooring). We had one minor question for the owner while there and he was very nice and responsive. The house probably won’t wow you with curb appeal and might show its age, but was clean and had everything we needed to make wonderful memories for a family week at the beach. (On a separate note not related to the property, we stayed at beaches that were very golf cart friendly and the kids in our family really enjoy the golf cart rides…we had never been to Emerald Isle so rented a golf cart. There certainly are golf carts on the island, we just found it a bit impractical with this location as it was a pretty long drive by cart to get to most restaurants/activities. Just our opinion and a FYI for anyone on the fence on getting one…we would not recommend a golf cart at this location.)

We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home!! The location is perfect - a short walk to the beach, close enough that our older kids (12 year old and 9 year old) could walk it alone. The top floor is spacious and open, with several seating areas and even a table that's perfect for puzzle making. The views are great, and the pool was CLUTCH when we had rough wind that made sitting on the beach difficult. We can't wait to come back!

The storage room downstairs had standing water and looked like it had not been cleaned or organized in quite a while. The pool was a good addition along with the new 1/2 bath. But the storms over the week had put quite a bit of sand in the pool and no one did any maintenance during our stay. There was a handmade table downstairs that had plywood over a table and tile put over the plywood but lacked 5 inches of tile on one end. The house looked like they had been trying to update the house but never finished. None of the furniture matched (some were glass tops and iron, one glass table had old brown chairs and the other table had light-colored chairs and the bar stools were different from all of them. It looked like glass tables from the 1980's. Glass tables are horrible to keep clean plus sharp corners are not good for children). But at least the upstairs was light and airy. The second floor with the bedrooms had no updating., Very dark doors and molding, beds were hard as a rock, doors stuck. Master bedroom had a makeshift bed put over a large bathtub. We have rented many houses thru the years. For this amount of money, it was a disappointment. I would not recommend this house to anyone.

Stayed here with my family and a couple friends. The house worked out really well for our group. Great beach access, nice view from the upper deck. The open top floor with living room, dining area and kitchen is fantastic. Nice beach chairs and umbrellas provided, which was a bonus. Excellent communication from Tyler as well. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Renny’s Reward! The large open floor plan upstairs is perfect for families and the house is a quick walk to the beach. The host was fantastic and promptly responded to all questions.

We booked this property about a month before our trip. Supply was very limited so we were happy to get it. It sleeps 12 and we only had 4 so we paid more than usual and were further from the beach. it is 3 houses back but has alot of steps . Although the reverse floor plan gives nice views, that means climbing two floors everytime you go out. The public walk to the beach also had steps. We also had a problem with uninvited guests that was quickly addressed by the owner and an exterminator made a visit. Plenty of beach chairs and outdoor seating. If you are older, be aware that the steps may be a problem. Needs some updates but very large.

We enjoyed our stay! Great location and house layout was good for us. Views are splendid! We would like to have been able to access the deck from our bedroom, but couldn’t get the doors open. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. Hope to do it again next year!

We had a great week and made memories for a lifetime. Thoroughly enjoyed the decks, morning, noon and night. Having the beach chairs and umbrellas there was a great plus, made packing much easier.

This is not an $8,000 tajmahal-right-on-the-beach property, so I didn't expect it to be one. The house, furniture, kitchen, and appliances, etc. were dated, but the house was fairly clean and spacious. Linens were provided, which was nice. There were two bikes, beach chairs, and lots of boogie boards, etc. We could see both the sound and the ocean from the top level. The air conditioning worked great. There were seven of us and there was plenty of room to spread out. The kids enjoyed playing games and watching the large tv when we weren't on the beach. Overall we had a great experience.

Easy walk to the beach. Great views, super deck space. Best part is the space. Very open on top floor, lots of space to lounge, entertain or watch the sunrise or sunset. Highly recommended
