About this house rental
Houston Lodge will comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. Unwind in the hot tub or relax in the rocking chairs on the covered porch while taking in the beautiful view of the hemlock studded hillside and the wildlife grazing in the gorge. For guests with limited mobility, please note that the main living room area is located on the basement level and is accessible only by stairs. Houston Lodge is located at Crockett's Run, a Lodging, Glamping, and Event Space on 56-acres. Events are typically held on the weekends only and in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Houston is tucked away and not located very close to the event lodge. There are hiking trails, a pond and playground available on-site for Crockett's Run guests. Crockett's Run is in Logan, Ohio so only about an 8-minute drive to downtown Logan, which has shops and a grocery store. We are 20-30 minutes away from major state park trails, depending on the specific trail. Loved the property. Very conveniently located. Large grocery store, hiking trails, Mohican State Park and antique stores near by. Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking items. Hot tub was great for use on the cool nights. For us, it was the perfect time of year to rent. Nothing was crowded and that makes hiking easier with young ones and better photo opportunities. Large kitchen table that allowed all of us to eat together. Owners emailed us to be sure we had no issues getting in and that all was good. We were given numbers to call if we had a problem (we had none) but nice of them to check.

This was an excellent place for our family vacation. We really enjoyed the property. Ben and Megan were always accessible for any questions that came up. The cabin was fully stocked and clean.The A/C quit working the last full day we were there but Ben sent a technician to check it out pretty quickly. Things happen. We look forward to renting this cabin next year. Thanks again Ben and Megan.

Good location, with great short hikes within the property. House is clean and well stocked. Bed and bathroom linens were clean. Good communication with the owners; they sent us an informative email prior to our visit.

Our family had the most amazing time. The photos and description were spot on. The house is updated and very well kept, super clean. The owners were easy to contact and the property sits close to all of the attractions you would want, while being tucked away for privacy and quiet. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Quiet, beautiful view and property, loved that the table could accommodate all of us. Lacked for nothing. The owner was quick to respond to any question. I wish the ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms had not been replaced by light fixtures.

Nice property. Plenty of room for 10 family members and the teens really enjoyed game room. Dish TV was inconsistent but mostly due to weather. We brought towels and bed linens due to reviews about smoke smells, but didn’t need them. The hot tub was nice and clean.

We had a wonderful long weekend of family fun at Crockett’s Run! The property was very nice, clean and was located near great scenic trails. The fire pit was a hit for s’mores, and the hot tub was great after a long hike. If you’re looking for a place for a good size group in the Hocking Hills area, I highly recommend it. Communication with the hosts was great and the instructional email they provided us beforehand told us everything we needed to know. Thank you so much!

The bedroom and bathroom set up worked perfectly for our family. We had a couple of toddlers who were able to play upstairs, downstairs and on the deck just great. We loved the trail on the property. The location was great to meet up with extended family for hiking and picnicking together at various parks nearby. Enjoyed the hot tub as well! We enjoyed our stay a lot.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The drive to hocking hills is about 30 mins away. There is a walmart and Logans antique mall 13 minutes away. A kroger, CVS and other fast food options around too. A nice little area to walk around with the family & with kiddos. The playground is near the pond area. There isnt a washer and dryer, which is okay. There is a pool table and the family enjoyed many games. A couple down falls, the closet in one of the upstairs restroom smelled like cigarette smoke as well as the towels provided in the downstairs restroom. The two downstairs bedrooms had an odd smell in one of the closets and the other room, most of the bedsheets had to be taken off due to having an unpleasant smell. Other than that it was a nice stay.

The canin was awesome. Comfy beds the hiking and waterfalls on property were great! The younger kids love playing in the creek and the fish pond.And everyone loved making smores by the camp fire.

The cabin is just 25 min away from caves and hiking. Plus there’s hiking on the property and a small pond. My family and 2 dogs had a great time!

The property was wonderful and easy to find. We took our family gifts to open there and they had two Christmas trees up decorated. The beds were very nice as were the bed and bath linens. We all enjoyed our stay.

Check in was seamless and the property was incredibly cozy! The only bump in the road was the hot tub breaking down but we were offered to use the hot tub at a vacant cabin nearby which was very considerate and appreciated!! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I only wish we would’ve stayed longer! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent place for a family to stay. We hiked on the property and in Hocking Hills. The grandsons enjoyed the pool table. There was space for families to spread out and be together. The house was well supplied with foil, soap, etc. We had a great Thanksgving.

The kids loved the property. It was wonderful that everything was right there and we didn't have to leave for trails or fishing. Convenient location to shopping if you forget stuff...like we did ;)

Very pleased with the bedrooms space and bathrooms because we had 5 individual families in our extended family. The basement provided ample play space for kids. Great eating area with large tables end to end. Suggestions: more large cooking supplies as we did our own cooking for meals . We were not aware of the need to bring own dish towels.

Houston Lodge Stay
It was a very nice place and beautiful property. We had a great time there and will likely go again. The only negative was that we were expecting a pullout couch in the entertainment room, but we made it work.

Annual cabin week with family
Cabin was fantastic for family of 14. Clean, fully stocked with linens, kitchen essentials, and both deck and patio where great! All beds were very comfortable. My favorite was a hike with grandchildren down the creek and watching them swim in the deeper pools. Will definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the property and trails were fantastic! Our only complaint would be the odor coming from the septic system, we sensed the odor while around the fire pit and hot tub.

The cabin was the perfect size for us and the property was great!! Beautiful trails. The owners were wonderful and communicating was easy. We will definitely be back!

Our adult children, two grandsons (infant and toddler) and our dogs stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. Great location close to our home yet far enough away. Beautiful area. The cabin was the perfect size for us and the property was great!! Beautiful trails. The owners were wonderful and communicating was easy. We will definitely be back!

Great Property
We enjoyed this house. It was roomy for all 14 of us. The pool table was enjoyed as well as the hot tub. We had a great time gathering in the kitchen / living room enjoying the fire and each other's company. The host was easy to get a hold of and was super helpful in any questions that we had. The property was great as we walked the trails behind the house. A great time was had. We will come back to this house it its available the next time we come.

The playground, pond and trails were pretty much in our back yard. The babies loved going on a hike and splashing in any water they could find! There's also a lake close by where we the we rented paddle boats and the babies played on the beach. Everyone had a great trip! Would definitely stay here again!!

Plenty of parking, rooms, room to eat and relax, and bathrooms. We were surprised to learn the fishing pond and trails were shared with all properties. If that is on the rental page, it's inconspicuous. Enjoyed back deck, but NO rocking chairs as advertised. The smell of sewer from septic system influenced where we sat on back deck, it needs serviced. The bath towels all smell like they were laundered in a smoking facility. Attention to detail will make this place a GREAT place. We left it cleaner than it was when we arrived. You have a great spot, but attention to detail on these things would have made it much more enjoyable.
