About this house rental
4 Bedroom, 2 1/2 bath vacation home located in the East Beach Subdivision of St. Simons Island. Pre-approved pets allowed. Take advantage of a short 2 block/three minute walk to our uncrowded beach, or bike there on one of the bikes included with you rental. Our house faces the marsh and you will enjoy beautiful sunsets from our second story living space, Sea Island Forge fire pit seating area or from our patio and lush yard. Our neighborhood does not have any condos or hotels nearby which bring big crowds. We are located on the corner of 8th Street and Ocean Road in the East Beach neighborhood. Our neighborhood does not have any condos or hotels nearby which bring big crowds....just East beach residents and tenants sharing the beach Our beach is half way between public beach access points of Coast Guard Station (1st Street) and Gould’s Inlet (15th Street). Access our beach by walking straight down our street ( Eighth Street on East Beach) and down the hobbit trail til your feet hit the sand! Distance to the village is just over a mile and is a scenic walk or bike ride down sidewalks with many restaurant and shops along the way. So many activities and wonderful restaurants and shops just walking distance away! Heated outdoor shower, Outdoor firepit, & two bikes included! The views from the house are beautiful. The interior includes vaulted ceilings, large dining room that seats 12, master suite with full bath upstairs, a second king-size BR downstairs with second kitchen attached, two additional bedrooms ( BR #3 has one queen and BR #4 has two twin beds). There is a full bath plus half bath on the level with the second king bedroom, queen bedroom and twin bedroom. Extra pluses include a gas grill, two bicycles, heated outdoor shower and a beach buggy to pull all of your belongings to and from the beach. Linens and towels provided. Our house is professionally decorated with original artwork throughout. MONTHLY RENTAL NOTE: Monthly discount only applies to Jan and Feb months for rentals 28 or more days. March discount is considered on a per case basis. Inquire with owner. Certain tax is exempt for monthly rentals. We highly recommend that you purchase travel Insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation!

The house is in an excellent neighborhood and we had an awesome holiday there. The kitchen and bathrooms could use an update but the sunsets in the marsh made up for this!

This rental home did not disappoint! The decor was nice, all the amenities were fabulous and all the extras were fantastic. Having two full size refrigerators was a plus and having 3 air conditioning units was super nice! The outside shower was a blessing after coming in from the beach and the covered area and grill was perfect. We cooked out and ate dinner with the sunset going down over the marsh and loved the same view from inside the house as well! The Rubbermaid beach tote was a life saver getting to the beach and the 2 bikes were a comfortable ride throughout the island. We have already requested to return next summer! Thank you for everything you have done to make this beach rental so special!

We had a very relaxing week. This property is situated in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. It has beautiful sunsets over the marsh. The house is spacious but also offers outdoor space to sit and relax. The worse part of the experience was that it ended so quickly. It is definitely a piece of heaven on Earth.

4 couples on the island for GSGA Mens golf tournament. House was great. Clean and fully renovated. East Beach is a beautiful area and view of the marsh was really nice. Fire pit and outdoor shower were great extras. Will definitely come back next year.

We had a minor hiccup that the place hadn't been cleaned when we got there. The host was fantastic in correcting the issue. Her cleaners read the schedule wrong and didn't have the place ready. She was very apologetic and got the cleaning people there that night. She was fantastic in solving the issue. It is a beautiful place, wish we could've stayed longer!

The location of this vacation rental is amazing! St Simons Island is gorgeous, very fun place to relax, excellent restaurants & shopping! The negative and sad to say, this house is in dire need of a deep cleaning. Otherwise a perfect stay.

This home was very beautiful and accommodated my group of 7. The owner responds in a timely matter. It was only minutes away from the beach and the owner provided 2 bicycles for your use.

Great place for a vacation.
Great location and view. The bedroom set up was awkward with children, that is having to walk thru room to get to second masters. Wonderful house. Truly enjoyed it.

Our favorite parts of the property were the incredible location (walkable to the beach and in a beautiful neighborhood), amazing views of the marsh, firepit in the yard, and the well stocked kitchen. The owners were also very responsive and the check-in/check-out process was a cinch. All in all, the property was perfect for our small family retreat. We'd recommend a stay here to anybody!

This rental home is very nice. Spacious, lots of beds and rooms with a main kitchen and small kitchen downstairs, and 2 bathrooms. The living room and dining room are nice size with lots of seating. The outside fire pit has plenty of seating and partial view of the marsh over plume grass. The beach is a 10-minute stroll 2 blocks away and through the dunes, while the marsh walk is across the road. Restaurants are a few minutes away to the south. The only negative things to note were the disgusting grill (too nasty to even mess with), no hand soap anywhere in the house, some grime in many locations in floor corners and shower, the lower bathroom sink faucets are loose, some basic kitchen supplies were sparse, it has no deck to enjoy the awesome marsh view (might be something worth adding by the owners), and the lawn care service decided to show up while we were there instead of working on a day when paying visitors aren't there, like a mid-week day. Overall though, a nice place to stay.

A Memorable Vacation
On 1st day of vacation we find our my husband had pancreatic cancer. We made most of vacation with children and grandchildren resting outside - two great areas to rest with a gentle breeze blowing. Also, enjoyed trips to quiet beach nearby with grandkids. Very relaxing, welcoming place to stay!

East Beach Getaway
Location was perfect for Each Beach with marsh view. Main kitchen could've been cleaner. Previous guests left half a bag of trash there and trash cans in driveway were already half full when we arrived Saturday. Owner informed us about broken oven 24 hours before we arrived and offered to cancel reservation for free or give us a small discount so we opted for discount. Overall, nice place with excellent layout for families and dog-friendly!
