The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We enjoyed having our boat there at the dock. The home was very clean. We would definitely come back here again.

This property exceeded our expectations, better than the photos! Everything is updated and well stocked. The artwork and decor is top notch high quality stuff. The outdoor area with the bar and tiki hut is nicely landscaped and a great place to hang out. Would have spent more time outside other than the fact that every day we were there a new high temperature record was set. All in all a great experience!

Every step of our rental was approached with care and concern.
The house is SO well-appointed with everything that you may need!
Communication was excellent!
It was one of THE . CLEANEST rentals we'd ever been in.
In the pre-dawn hours, I could be found meditating on the back dock. I joined my family on the front balcony as we waved to passers-by. We spent time out back under the tiki -- which protected us during pop-up showers.
The kitchen was ROOOMY and had everything that we could ever need!
We spread-out in the living area watching election results and Hurricane Nicole updates.
Many of our get-and-grab meals were at the kitchen bar... I was able to work a bit on my laptop on the bar also.
The dining area (inside) was perfect for a more formal sit-down dinner.
The dining area (outside) was perfect for pizza and wings on our arrival day.
A quick 5 minute walk to Sunset Beach was FABULOUS!
Copious amounts of SAFE walking paths around KCB saw us taking 2-3 mile strolls in the early morning hours.
The HVAC unit was wonderful --- it was quiet, it kept us cool!
The showers and bathrooms were clean, great water pressure, etc.
The bedrooms had plenty of closet and drawer space.
Wonderful WONDERFUL experience! We will be renting again!

Seen several nurse sharks , spotted eagle ray , and a very friendly manatee. We caught a lot of mangrove snapper off the dock. The outdoor area was exceptional. I had noticed a few comments about the beds being too firm, but didn't think so. Would definitely stay here again !!

The place was beautiful, had everything that we needed for a week and was clean. There was a broken chair out back that I moved out of the way so the kids wouldn’t sit, and the filtered water on the fridge didn’t work. Besides that, it was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay! Perk is that it’s close distance to sunset park where we were able to walk to and see fireworks on the fourth!

This was a fantastic house at the end of the canal. We spent a lot of time in the tiki hut with ceiling fan, and fishing off the dock - Gregg was generous and loaned us a couple of fishing rods. We mostly caught pin fish using frozen shrimp bait from Publix. There are plenty of chairs and lots of space to hang out back there. On two separate occasions, manatees paid us a visit as did a stingray and an interesting school of fish. Oh and lets not forget the jellyfish.
We grilled out a couple of times, but this is one area in need of improvement. The grill doesn't really heat up much beyond 300 degrees and one burner doesn't work. Also needs a new grill brush as the one that was available was a bit used up and easily snapped while cleaning the grates. Not a show stopper, but avid grillers may be disappointed. On the positive side, the grates are stainless steel and look relatively new.
As for inside the house, there is plenty of space and seating in the living area, dining area and kitchen. We really enjoyed the reclining sofas and large screen TV. We sat on the front deck with coffee in the mornings enjoying the partial ocean view and palm trees. The kitchen was more than adequate and well stocked with coffee filters, spices, dish washing pods, etc... As others have pointed out, the mattresses are still hard, however, we didn't have any trouble sleeping. Our young adult kids didn't have any trouble sleeping in the second bedroom either.
Another nice feature is that the rental comes with membership to the ocean front Cabana Club with restaurant, bar, good sized pool and beach. It's a bit of a walk but we rode bikes or drove. Loungers are included around the pool and on the beach. We enjoyed visiting and hanging out with family. Inch beach is across the street but membership is required to get in. Our son and his wife had 6 passes so we went one time but found that we much preferred the Cabana Club beach.
Sunset beach is about a minute walk from the house and well worth a visit around sunset. Lots of people come here to take pictures and just enjoy the view.
Overall, this was an outstanding vacation and the house was fantastic. We had a great time and would definitely rent this place again. While you can probably find units with better beds and a better grill, my guess is you would probably pay more. But price isn't the only reason to rent this place, it's in a great location and has a lot of nice features. I highly recommend it.

It was very nice as described. View of canal and nicely done backyard. Even has an outdoor shower. Walk to the sunset park for beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to tennis courts and to the cabana club where you can swim in the pool or the beach is right there too! Food is delicious and they are very attentive to your needs! The house had everything we needed. Only two issues. The King size bed is sinking in the middle and not very comfortable. Really needs replacing. And the king bedroom gets quite warm. We just couldn’t keep it cool.

Everything you could ever want for a house in the keys! Perfect for docking a boat, outside area was beautiful, house was fully stocked, location was PERFECT. Our week was pretty much perfect.
Only complaints, needs new mattresses on all the beds and the master bedroom was stayed hot. The separate ac unit in the master did not work, and the living space and 2nd bedroom temperature was perfect! The master bedroom and bathroom were the hottest room in the house.
Overall very nice stay and would stay again!
Enjoyed our week

We enjoyed our stay very much, but we did have a few issues with the boat. Here are the positives first:
The house itself is great. The outdoor space is large, beautifully landscaped, and the highlight of the property. Inside, we had everything we needed. The master bedroom mattress is extremely firm, however. We had plenty of towels, dishes, etc. The views from the entire house were also great- slight water views of the ocean from the living room area and great canal views from almost everywhere. It's a great property in a great neighborhood. Also, you can walk to the sunset park.
Now, the only negatives.
1. When you rent this house, you are told that you can park your trailer nearby for $50. It's not $50 anymore- it's $100. Not a big deal but I would prefer to know beforehand. The property manager told us the public trailer parking lot was past the golf course and tennis courts. What we WEREN'T told is there are TWO parking lots right past the golf course and tennis courts. My husband and son went to the first one because we were not told there are two and got threatened and yelled at by an angry neighbor. He used profanity and threatened to call the police. My husband said we were told to park the trailer in the lot past the tennis courts. Well the irate neighbor angrily yells that this lot is private and the public one is down the street. Now I know that the property manager can't control the irate neighbor, but he could have mentioned that it was the SECOND lot past the tennis courts. It was upsetting for my family, especially my son, to be yelled at and cursed at like that. Also, be aware that the public lot is first come, first served. If they run out of space, you are screwed. The property owner won't allow the trailer in the yard. The lady at the public service/city hall where you register your trailer told my husband that they run out of room all the time and the property owners dont always warn their guests that it's possible that they wont have space. So, just be aware that you need to go to the SECOND lot past the tennis courts and you wont get threatened and cursed at by irate neighbor man.
One other thing- the way the dock is built makes it difficult to get in and out of the boat, especially at low tide. If you have any mobility issues, this could be a problem. The property manager did communicate with us, but he certainly wasn't friendly.
So, overall, great property , great neighborhood with an amazing outdoor area.

If you are looking for a low key vacation spot KCB is the place. Its relaxing, quiet and in paradise. The house was pretty much as pictured. The property manger was friendly and answered all my questions in a timely manner. It would have been nice if he emailed me the access code and I didn't have to reach out to him, but thats minor.
While planning this trip I read reviews and 2 of them that concerned me were true. The first the bed was hard in the master bed room. The second one was the dock if you are bringing a boat that sits low its difficult for you to get stuff off and on the boat. There is a good size drop from the water level to the dock.
Other than those 2 complaints the place was great it truly has everything you may need in the kitchen, for relaxing and just having some R&R.

Perfect rental for a week in the Keys!

The place was nice. Back patio and doc were great, the grill was in terrible shape. Broken elements, tons of grease build up prone to catching on fire. We actually brought fire extinguisher down just in case. We like to grill all dinners on vacation so that was a bummer, but other than that place was very roomy and nice.

The house was very clean and spacious. The back yard was great and we enjoyed fishing off of the dock . We love Key Colony Beach and will absolutely rent this property again.
