Navy and white theme with designer bedding and furnishing from top designers like Cynthia Rowley and Serena and Lily are just the beginning. Pelican Reach, with its own pool, is less than a five-minute walk to the water's edge. This neighborhood is known for it's nice quiet wide streets. Built in the traditional beach style, a flight of stairs takes you to the lower-level porch. This is where the kids will go to escape the adults, who will surely have commandeered the upstairs porch. The front door opens to the lower-level bedrooms. The master has a King-size bed, with new mattress, designer bedding, a private bath, and opens to the shady screened rear porch (complete with several rocking chairs - perfect for a quiet get away) The other two downstairs rooms (one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twin beds) are also furnished with new mattresses and share a bath. One of these bedrooms opens to that same shady screened porch. Taking the stairs to the upper level, you are immediately struck by the windows, the light, and all the fantastic views. The open living area features a dining table for eight, a seating area for TV viewing (with a queen-size sleeper sofa), a game table, and a reading nook. The darling kitchen comes complete with everything needed by the chef, whether you are feeding your family or entertaining friends. A bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath complete the upper level. Except for the porch. The high, airy porch gives you a bird's eye view of Wild Dunes. By night the sounds of waves crashing on the shore soothe even the most frayed of nerves, but the sunrises are particularly spectacular! This large, screened porch features a wicker pub table with four chairs and a comfortable lounging area with wicker loveseat and rockers - all decorated with high-end designer outdoor fabrics. It will be hard to leave this wonderful space! We have tried to provide everything we could think of, including a free golf cart with each rental. We even offer Broadband web access for those people that don't want to feel too "out of touch". We hope you'll consider us for your Carolina low-country vacation! Keywords: House

We had 7 adults in the 4 bedroom house to celebrate an anniversary. The house layout was great for us. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking big meals. Loved the easy beach access & location. Hope to return!

Thank you!

We really enjoyed the area. As per other reviews the front steps could use some work as there are several uneven steps and could be dangerous. We rented the property for 8 adults and 2 kids. We discovered upon arriving there were 6 coffee cups, and some of the dishes were dirty. We called the manager then, and had to text the manager. When we explained there were 8 adults, she said she would get us some more sometime on Sunday. We told her we would have coffee in shifts. We sat the family down and read the extensive rules of the property, including grill rules. When we went to use the grill we discovered it to be filthy. We called again and someone came . He told us it didn’t work and it was against the law to have it on the porch, which is where we found it. My husband helped him put it on the steps. We then waited another day for a new one to be delivered, and my husband hooked it up. These are not earth shattering events, but I feel if you have an extensive list of do’s and don’t s everything should be checked out before arriving. Regardless, we did have a great time.

We stayed at this property several years ago and we enjoyed once again! Pelican Bay is the best location for a family with the pool and places to ride bikes or throw a baseball.

This is a wonderful property, excellent location. Steep driveway but we just parked in overflow for easy access to golf cart. Only negative is no dresser or closet in upstairs bedroom. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home!

The house was beautiful with very comfortable furniture & beds. The kitchen was well furnished. The only negative is the steep drive way which made loading, unloading & parking challenging. The house more than made up for it. We enjoyed coffee on the screen porch every morning!

43 Pelican Reach is well maintained, beautifully decorated, has a great layout for a group and has everything you need. There was even a blow dryer which wasn't mentioned in the listing. We cooked mostly breakfast and hosted a barbecue and we had everything we needed. One review mentioned a lack of hangers and another a shortage of teaspoons. Both issues have been corrected. Beds, pillows and linens are of a high quality. Appliances are high end and up to date.
A side note - the owner's restaurant recommendations are spot on - we ate at Acme (seven times) The Boathouse, (twice) Obstinate Daughter and 39 Rue de Jean and all were excellent.

I booked this house for my 50th birthday to hang out with some of my friends. It is located in a quiet community, but close to great food and easy access to shopping. It is beautifully decorated and cozy. I had no idea that my friends arranged for a chef to come in and cook dinner for us. the chef had plenty of room in the kitchen and ample supplies to fix a 4 course meal. The home was perfect for a relaxing girls weekend.

This property is gorgeous. The artwork is exquisite. The decor is soothing and beautiful. The beds and other furniture are so comfy! The porches are too die for. I watched the sun rise over coffee every morning from the top deck.

We planned this vacation to celebrate my father's 80th birthday and son's 10th. It is just as described, as appears in the photos on the listing with perhaps a tiny more wear than expected but is truly beautiful and in a lovely location. It is well appointed and although some MINOR things on the listing were missing (i.e. small things like smaller teaspoons, a DVD player), it is a really pleasant place to spend time with family and small children. The driveway is very steep and since you can't park in the street, it makes it a bit of a pain to move the cars to access the golf cart, and it would have been wonderful not to have had to pack 10 beach chairs since we drove down (you can rent them but at $15 each/per day, it was too expensive for our group.) These are, however, the only things we would have changed, though. It was a magnificent experience even though we had rain every day. We enjoyed the upper deck with the ceiling fans, the access to the pool and beach, once we figured out how to get there as it had been 30+ years since staying on Isle of Palms and things have changed so much. You will get a workout climbing the drive to the steps outside to the steps inside but that's a great way to burn off all the food we enjoyed nearby. Each bedroom has a TV. I would suggest packing some extra hangers and note that there is no closet space for the guest staying in the upper bedroom, which really is the most pleasant with all the light that comes in upstairs, but all the rooms are lovely. We have a 12 year old and newly 10 year old who loved their own room downstairs. We cooked every night, save for a couple. We had a group of 7. Would recommend.

This is a gorgeous, updated house. It has everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It's close enough to the beach and pool to walk, but we enjoyed the convenience of the golf cart.

Comfortable family neighborhood rental
Beautifully decorated property. Freshly re-done. Wonderful proximity to beach, pool, resort amenities, and IOP offerings. Beth was a gracious and personable hostess. We loved having the golf cart. The long screened porch was a favorite family hangout. The steep driveway meant that we couldn’t get our car with bike rack up and it generally made for a bit of extra work. Overflow parking was helpful. Laundry in bathroom was a bit awkward.

Very close to beach and pool. Having golf cart provided was excellent perk. Driveway is very steep and lots of stairs. If you have mobility issues, I wouldn’t recommend. House accommodated 6 adults very well. No K-cup, only regular coffee maker. Otherwise kitchen is well stocked. Bring beach towels, chairs, umbrella, etc.

Great location with comfortable beds! Kitchen, family, and large screen porch area grouped together made for great family and friends gathering area. Golf cart was very handy and fun to scoot around and carry extra beach items. Decor inviting, trending, and tasteful. Just a note, for persons with mobility issues or seniors, there are a few flights of stairs to the main living area from the parking area.

The house is beautiful.
We've rented many properties over the years, but this was the first requiring guests to do laundry along with paying a cleaning fee.
It was hard to have beds stripped, towels washed as directed and be out before 10 am after a friend's wedding Saturday night.

Great House for a Beach/Golf Trip
We really enjoyed our stay at the house! It was the perfect spot for a beach trip and golf outings at the Wild Dunes golf courses. Perfect location with a short walk to the beach. House was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying on Isle of Palms!

This house is awesome. The decor is so cute and beach! Plenty of room to spread out. Dining table easily sat 9 of us.
The walk to the beach is quite easy and enjoyable and the golf cart was awesome to help lug chairs and coolers for 9 adults that take way too much to the beach..
The overflow parking was great since we had 5 cars. The driveway is very steep as mentioned in a previous review and you must move cars to get golf cart out so we kept 3 -4 in overflow the entire time.
There are a lot of steps going up to the house and up into kitchen and living area. Unloading when first arriving was a lot but we were fine after that. . If mobility of any kind is an issue for someone this house is not for you but I personally enjoyed easily getting in my steps. My only disappointment with this house was the location of the grill. We like to cook at the beach and planned several dinners around the grill. It was on a deck at the back of the house and we could only access it through the lower level bedroom. There was overgrowth that came up behind the grill and it just felt stifling. There also was no light that we could find to help with after dark grilling which we do bc we stay on the beach until 7-7:30. The kitchen is small but well equipped. We found it challenging to prep meals and because of that we were able to enjoy more dinners out. Sunsets at Shem Creek are breath taking. The coffee maker is a basket type this was not indicated so I took both pods and ground. I think the fridge is a little small for this size house. But that’s just my opinion. We kept all beverages in a cooler under the house. As with any fridge you don’t want to overload and we didn’t. only milk and juice were in fridge with eggs, lunch meats veggies and cheeses etc but it still was small.
The marina was our go to for ice every morning and we got awesome food from their deli as well as a few T-shirt’s and Knick knacks.
After 19 years since we were at Wild Dunes we were ecstatic to return. We didn’t utilize the resort like we could have but it was beautiful to see. WD is awesome and this house and the beach are in a great location. High Tide is nothing like other beaches and it is absolutely my favorite beach of all. I wish I had been able to stay just a few more days to get a few more things accomplished but the beazh was just too perfect to leave.
I’ll be back and I hope you enjoy this home as much as we did.
