Loved the property and location, quite shaded spot on the river and close to everything at the horseshoe.

It was a great place to spend the week very relaxing and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy relaxing on the screened in patio.

Quiet and comfortable home. Beautiful river view and access from house. Delightful swing under tall shade trees. Peaceful setting to sit on the screened in porch and watch the wildlife roaming through the back yard. Furnishings and bed were comfortable. Large variety of appliances and cookware. Bring your favorite coffee to enjoy in the big coffee mugs! Great for a quiet weekend getaway.

This was the second time for my cousins and me to stay here for a girls weekend and to see a show at Whitewater Amphitheater. It's a great place with everything needed for a short or lengthy stay. There is plenty of inside and outdoor seating, and a private dock right on the river. Great amenities including washer/dryer and icemaker. The kitchen is full of dishes, glasses, pots and pans, etc. It's not too far to Whitewater to walk but we didn't want to walk back in the dark so we drove, but if you're braver than the four of us middle-aged women, you could do it. Lol

Overall the property was great! However, we received a text at 8:30 p.m. while we were already at the location telling us the pull out couch was broken. We were provided with a small air up mattress but one of us still had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch. We understand things happen. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay and would do it again.

A perfect spot to have an isolated 3-day weekend of fishing, relaxing and corn hole. Beautiful property and just right for our family of three. Good location for hiking. Bare Bull BBQ was a nice find for take out. Highly recommend this property.

This is a very nice house that is well maintained. It has two bedrooms - one with a king size bed and one with bunk beds. The kitchen and living room are between the bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, etc., as well as an ice maker in the freezer. I did submit a question and did not receive a response. I'll post here so others will know. I asked what kind of coffee maker is in the kitchen - - it's a drip coffee maker. There are filters in one cabinet so just bring your own coffee for a drip-type machine. The house details say there is a DVD player so we brought some DVDs, but we could not find a DVD player anywhere. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. This house is right on the river. There is a nice view from the back porch areas and you just walk down the back yard right to the water. There's a floating dock with chairs on it and more chairs in the laundry room along with a tube. Very fun time with my cousins!

Quiet and peaceful. Love seeing deer, fox and an owl. Place is small and good for couple maybe 2 kids but that would be all. Small kitchen yet fully equipped. Property is well kept but so under utilized that great view. Bring your own chairs so you can sit down by the water. Very steep walk to the water, no paths. Could really use some updates especially to screen porch. We really enjoyed ourselves but it’s not the ritz.

This is a nice property. Very relaxing and a shady yard which helps with the summer heat. Everything you need to relax. The bbq grill needs some maintenance and the floors could be mopped better but, overall a very nice, clean, relaxing place to stay.

We loved the house and definitely the location on the river. We floated right outside our dock for 2 days and then did the full float down into the horseshoe on day 3. Super fun! The house is great! Comfy beds, a/c works great, and we will be back someday! So much fun and great location for a quick getaway with the family.

Beautiful place on the Guadalupe. We fished and generally had a very peaceful time. Would highly recommend

The home is modest and quaint (older small home with screen porch). Location is Great. Not a place for partying or drinking but definitely a good place for small group or couple and maybe a couple of kids max who are not expecting the Ritz Carlton (more like a really nice large cabin that's maintained to a minimal but very well a/c'd and fairly clean). It met my expectations except I'd brought my 70'sh parents which couldnt get to the river without a lot of effort. Property is Waterfront but its High Above the river with steep incline (sprinklered watered St. Augustine covered slope with no trail or steps). You will get a good workout and strengthen you leg muscles to go back and forth to river. Location is Great for a quiet peaceful relaxing getaway. Full time neighbors across the Street always watching so don't rent if your planning on party. As for river tripping it's backwater on our trip and full of natural debris (but very cold and refreshing). The location is high upriver from all the major traffic and not to far from canyon lake dam. We had a break in weather and it was not too hot. Air temp is much different down by the water which is ice cold and not too deep maybe 5 feet was moving very slow luckily had a raft and paddle which allowed us to paddle down and up stream as it would be frustrating on just tubes. There is an old waterwheel and small dam just down river on private property that has diverted the water so that you must navigate by foot to get back to floating (not for the weak or old as I'd imagine a lot of "boo-boos" and broken ankles happen there) Going over the small dam is not an option as you'll get stuck in the backwash. Its challenge to get around that spot and slow before 1st bridge. Wildlife is abundant (deer, fox, squirrel, and owl). No TV in bedroom and Shower Head in Master Bath was broken and someone had actually used a Band aid to makeshift the shower head (had to hand hold the shower to take. Shower). Other common bathroom has traditional tub and shower and worked fine. Small gas grill was useful for grilling. They have a corn hole game (beware if you leave it your cornhole bags out as deer will take your corn bags as they are actually filled with corn). Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the stay and thumbs up! If I could afford to buy the property I would live there (with improvements in mind). Location and value. It's a quiet place and hope it stays that way so we can come back another day soon.

My 12yo said it was his favorite vacation ever and he’s been to Grand Cayman, Disney, Destin, Lake Michigan, etc. The kitchen was stocked with soap, towels, utensils, everything needed, including coffee filters. There is a first aid kit, bug spray, laundry detergent, trash bags. Bathrooms had plenty of toilet paper and towels. There’s one fishing pole without a hook if you want to fish. We bought tubes from Costco and often played off the dock or floated down around the horseshoe. You can also rent tubes from nearby tubing places. Bring your own beach towels! I loved reading and drinking coffee on the screened in porch in the mornings. There was a lot of wildlife spotted, including deer, fox, hawk, lizards, and hummingbird. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit family!

We have never done a home rental for vacation before. WE ARE SOLD! This is a great house with an amazing view. It is comfy, homey and it was perfect for our family vacation!! The property (home and grounds) are taken care of and in great shape. We went to the river every evening (right down the back yard), saw deer and foxes every day and evening. One night we even saw an owl. We were secluded in the deep parts of nature but close enough to get to the store and restaurants within minutes. I cannot say enough about how much we LOVED staying here and are hoping to come back. We have already told several friends and they want to stay here as well.

We loved staying at this hidden jewel on the Guadalupe. The home is so comfortable and in an ideal location on the river. Very quiet and peaceful in a lovely neighborhood. I hope to return soon.
