Located in Lake Ouachita, this lovely house for $201 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Bring your boat or Kayaks/canoes and enjoy the beautiful Lake. There is also a nature walking trail just a short drive from the home. The home has a spacious Living room/ dining area, and a fenced in yard. There is a long front porch for you to sit and enjoy after a day on the Lake or to drink your morning coffee . A fire pit to enjoy. Take a drive to Hot Springs where you can visit Bathhouse Row where there are many shops, Oaklawn casino, and restaurants, and walking trails for you to visit. We adored this quiet and perfectly planted location! Everything inside the home was stocked with extras to share, fun games to play with the kids, books to read, snacks and gifts for our time there.. The host went above and beyond!! We will be returning!

Let me first say that we were coming from Kansas City and knew nothing about the area prior to arrival. The house is in what appears to be a small lake-side "village" that includes other cabin-type houses and trailers. There are other properties relatively close to this house. The house was spotless and very cozy. The property owners were very prompt with questions and requests. We were granted early check-in which was very appreciated. As others have pointed out, it is quite a drive to the grocery store so plan accordingly. There is plenty of nature around you. we even had an armadillo guest one night (we've never actually seen an armadillo alive before, plenty smashed on the side of the road). The fenced yard worked well for our small dog.
The only thing that we had any issues with were the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom aren't very comfortable for an adult. I'm sure they work well for children. The queen bed in the master bedroom is comfortable (unless you have a snoring husband next to you).

Theresa was an excellent hostess, responding to my questions /needs promptly and adding many fall decorations to the yard and cottage to enhance our stay. Everything we could have possibly needed had been thought of and provided. We were very comfortable during our visit.

My sons, grandson, and friends of 50 years had a great time. The property was out of the way and very relaxing. Some good advice though is to make sure you buy groceries before your arrival and if you are going to fish, make sure you get some bait. The only complaint I had is that I am disabled and the porch steps (for me) were uneven, but all said it was Great

Never words to describe our stay here at Theresa’s place. We’ve been staying here last 3 years. Lake is extremely close and that’s why we chose in the beginning to stay at this location. Plus the amenities of the property are spacious, comfortable and provides everything we need. Hopefully next year we’ll make it back again.

We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was wonderful. Very quiet neighbor hood. Very close to Colmans Mine and Lake Ouachita. The only thing that would be a little better would be to have a bigger bed in one of the rooms. We ended up sleeping in the room with the 2 twin beds. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

My girlfriend and myself were looking for a quiet get away for the weekend and a nice open space for our dogs to be able to run around in. Everything was clean upon arrival and it felt very homey and comfortable.

Others should know that the property is "out of the way" and it will take at least 25-30 minutes to reach a convenience store or a grocery store.... so if seclusion is what you are looking for, this is the property for you!

The house was excellent for me it was very near 2 accessible boat ramps and the lake was excellent fishing.

The bed was comfortable and clean. The little gift basket was a wonderful surprise! It was also very nice to have a fenced yard for the pups!

Nice, clean house, ac works great, and hot water works really well and comes out very fast. I like the big loop framework of the house. Recliners are really comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. Teresa's gift basket is always a nice bonus. She's a fast responder and keeps her homes clean (we've stayed at 2 of hers). The only negative is the comfort level of the beds. They are old and hard. It would be nice to have new mattresses or a topper. The room with the twin beds has no air vents so it gets really hot without the fans on. If you're tall, just know that the height of the shower head is very low, around 5ft 7in. I'm 5'4" and I had to bend backwards to wash my hair. The handle removes but I prefer not to hold it. Love going to Buckville rec area and Clampits Country Kitchen is amazing, a must go! We would definitely stay here again.

Great getaway
Our 2nd visit to this hideaway. Extremely close to lake and away from everyone to relax and enjoy lake Ouachita. Theresa is always very accommodating with necessities that we forgot or things we may need. Will definitely stay here again.

My family and friends have stayed at this property many times over the last three years! It never disappoints!! Equipped with yard games, beautiful spacious front porch and fenced yard for the dogs!! The owner thoughtfully leaves a basket of goodies for us each time!! We’ll continue to come back!
