About this condo rental

Morse Mill Condominium is situated on three acres directly across from the main entrance to Smugglers' Notch Resort and Ski Area which offers some of the best and most challenging skiing in the East. We are not part of the Smugglers' Notch Resort complex. We are the closest privately owned condo to the Resort - just across the road. Our condominium is private but close to the ski action with two decks which look out on to the three mountains that make up the ski resort complex. Check out our website at www.morsemill.com! Cross-country skiing is possible from the door of the condo and the ski slopes are less than a two- minute walk. There are great slopes for children's sledding on the property with sleds provided! We have a rushing brook that cuts through the property and a private pond that children enjoy playing in. There are many swimming holes in the area to cool off in on a hot summer's day. Daycation passes for the Mountainside pools & waterslides and fun zone may be purchased at Smugglers' Notch Resort year round. Zip Line Canopy Tours are available at the Resort and for non-guests. This is the first Zip Line in Vermont. The condominium is approximately 1100 sq. feet. It has an open living room/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has twins beds with ensuite bathroom; second bedroom a queen size bed; third bedroom a double bed. A fold-down bed is available for an extra person. There is a second bathroom with toilet and shower. The condominium is tastefully and comfortably furnished with a wood-burning Vermont Castings fireplace (firewood provided). We provide bird feed to stock the three feeders on the deck, which attract a wide variety of wild birds. There is a rushing mountain brook that cuts through the property and a pond that attracts wild ducks and other water birds. In the summer, we are a five-minute drive from Stowe, but a 45-minute drive in winter due to the fact that Smugglers' Notch Pass is closed to traffic. Keywords: Condominium

Great location and fun ski hill. No snow, so we spent a lot of time in the condo, therefore it great that there was enough room to play games and watch movies. So easy to get to the mountain!!! Thanks for a great few days. We’d definitely go again.

We loved staying at this property. Very cozy and comfortable. Right across the street from Smuggs Village. Lots of fun. Great place to stay, open floor plan with 3 bedrooms. The beds and comforters were very nice. Plus two full baths. House very well stocked. Highly recommend.

The property was very nice. It was clean with all you would need to enjoy to stay in the area. It is not brand new nor did we expect it to be. The owner was nice and communicated in advance. The upstairs neighbor helped us find the condo which is located on the second floor. There is a office below.

Great place to stay. Away from the crowds in Stowe but directly across the street from Smugglers Notch Ski Resort. Clean, well maintained, and quiet. The stream running through the property was a plus. There’s a hammock and swing to watch the water and chill. It was an easy drive over to Stowe (apparently that road is closed in the winter). I would definitely stay here again.

The property is well maintained, quiet, well equipped with all of the things you get in a hotel room plus more, and the host is always available to help. There is a small dam/pond to enjoy by yourselves as it is private (kinda). Most people are in the public heated pools across the street. Could not ask for better accommodations. Three bedrooms, two baths, a balcony, a deck, full kitchen,,,,,need I say more?

I've stayed in many VRBOs and rely heavily on reviews in choosing properties. My goal in writing a review is to be informative and honest so the renter can decide if the property is a good fit for their purpose. We were there during the busy fall season, during the week. Pros: Great location for hiking, scenic drives and restaurants that are not in the town of Stowe (traffic near Stowe got busier towards the end of the week and was backed up on Saturday when we left, so we appreciated being further out). Spacious unit with comfortable furniture. Quiet at night. Easy walk across the highway to Smugglers. Kitchen appeared well stocked, but we only ate breakfast there. Good streaming options on TV. Great WiFi. Owners easy to reach and responsive. Cons: This does not appear to be a typical rental unit. There are 3 units in the building. The one below is some sort of office and the one above had someone there who got up early every morning and left for the day (probably for work). This is a problem if you like to sleep in since you can hear heavy footsteps and creaking floorboards from 6:30-7:00 every morning, including Saturday. The building is older and could use some TLC. The unit is dated, but homey. The main issues we had were the cleanliness and condition of the kitchen/main bathroom. Although it was superficially clean, it needs a good deep clean, including appliances and drawers/cabinets in the kitchen and vacuuming of the sofas (dog fur). The cabinets in the kitchen are worn out, but function ok. The main bath does not have an electrical outlet and the heater did not work, but it was clean. To be fair, the owners have not been able to check on the unit since March 2020 when the Canadian-US land border was closed so they are relying on their housekeeper and renters to let them know about issues (which we did). Overall, I would rate this unit a 3.5 (VRBO does not allow this as a rating).
