Charming mountain cabin atmosphere. Plenty of room for our 5 adults. Full kitchen with enough spices without having to buy more. Plenty of pots and utensils for cooking there. Beds comfortable. Despite sub-zero temperatures the home stayed comfortable. Has parking in driveway. Location ideal: short drive to Sandpoint for restaurants and markets. Mountain ski bus lot is a couple of blocks away and location next to Schweitzer Mountain road made for an easy drive up to ski resort. Only drawbacks were the shortage of toilet paper as we were running out on our last day, and the upstairs bathroom developed a sewer smell over the last 2 days of our stay. Had to leave a wet cloth over the shower drain to control this. if not for these 2 issues, would have been a 5 Star stay.

We were excited to get back up on the slopes and this was the perfect location. Being at the base and out if the city was a nice change to our usual Schweitzer experience.

Great stay! We had a wonderful time in such Adorable
cabin. Lori does such a good job of supplying her cabin with extra amenities. The upstairs living area was a perfect place for opening gifts for Christmas. The cabin is in a beautiful neighborhood. we saw wild turkeys on the first day. Will definitely come back!

Great area and close to Sandpoint and activities in the area. A bit over priced especially when you consider a later check in and earlier check out than other places we have stayed. The owner did allow us to check-in earlier so we could drop our luggage before attending an event.

Great place for a quick stop during our road-trip.

We celebrated my Mom's 80th birthday as she was finishing her quest to go to all 50 states (Idaho and Montana were the last ones). The house was a perfect base camp for our family! Room for 3 couples to spread out. Space to be together at the kitchen table and on the deck to play cards well into the night. Owners were attentive to any question. Highly recommend this home!

Very nice property. Great location. A little trouble with the electronic lock. I believe due to the sun heating up yhe doir causing it to slightly warp. Thank goodness it cools off at night, since no AC.

Our ski group arrived at the property to discover wild turkeys and deer in the yard! The location was perfect, within walking distance of the blue line Schweitzer bus shuttle. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was well-equipped and very homey. The property is highly recommended.

Very comfortable house with a nice master BR/BA upstairs and a couple good sized bedrooms and full bath downstairs. Loft area with couches and a TV and a sitting area downstairs next to the warm gas fireplace. Was great to have the option of the ski shuttle - 2 minutes drive (we walked - 10 minutes, but road is pretty busy in the morning) - or you can drive up to the base which takes about 15 minutes (very weather/traffic dependent). House was very well stocked with pretty much anything you should need from kitchen to bathrooms and bedrooms. Lots of nice touches throughout.
Host was responsive - and we enjoyed our stay. But not the best option for people who live online or want to spend lots of time watching TV. As was made clear up front, Internet speeds are really slow and we didn't find much in the way of TV - but we were there to ski, so it didn't matter much to us. And also as advertised, lots of trains pass through Sandpoint. We heard them, but they didn't seem too loud for us.
Would definitely stay here again to ski Schweitzer.

We had a wonderful stay at the chalet! We loved the place, and it had everything we needed for our stay. Lori was super communicative and thoughtful, and the binder provided lots of useful information. The location was exactly what we needed for an easy pop up to ski at Schweitzer Mountain.

Great location to Schweitzer mountain and grocery stores.
Fully equipped kitchen which we used daily.
3 bedrooms were great for 3 adults.
Outdoor grill not available which would have been preferred.

The house was perfect for our needs! Great location and very well equipped. Lori was so easy to work with and the information she provided was very helpful!

Very clean and comfortable as indicated in the listing. The only
issue is the AC is provided by portable room AC units which have to by vented to a window. Not practical. We were able to open windows and use the fans provided to cool the house down adequately, however.

The owners were wonderful to work with and very quick to respond when asked questions. The house was very cozy and clean. The only downfall was the trains that ran by during the night. I'm a light sleeper. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

The house and deck/yard were great. Great supply of kitchen supplies. The train traffic is frequent and close to the property, like many places in Sandpoint, but makes sleeping difficult when the windows were open. The 2 single beds listed on the property was an air mattress.

The hosts were very pleasant and quick with responses. The deck was perfect for sitting outside in the evening to enjoy the cool evenings. The home was neat, clean and had everything you need.

This property was perfect for our small group! The house was clean, kitchen was well stocked and communication was great! The deck was my favorite spot to sip my coffee in the morning.
Will definitely stay here again!

Lori was an awesome host and provided excellent communication. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials along with some left over frozen food items the kids got to partake in, ie: popsicles! The train that goes by regularly never woke us up at night and was a cool feature. The river down the street was a great place to cool off and explore. In addition to watching the wild turkeys roam the neighborhood made it fun for the kids. All in all this was a great place and Lori was an excellent host. Would stay here again!

We had a good stay here while on a ski trip. It is located right at the base of the mountains, about 9 miles from Schweitzer ski resort. Very easy to get to the ski resort or go into the town of Sandpoint. The kitchen is well stocked as well.

Great location at the base of Schweitzer mountain. Allows you easy access to town for dinner and fun after a day on the mountain.

Came for a long ski weekend and this place was a fantastic place for a home base. Perfect set-up for two couples, with the suite upstairs and bathroom/bedrooms downstairs. We cooked a few times in the kitchen, and it was set up perfectly with all of the tools and pots and pans. Laundry, dishwasher, fireplaces, all the amenities you want for a ski vacation. Thanks!

Great cabin, luckily some snow hit and we got to explore Schweitzer. We’ll be back for sure, great area. Cabin had everything you could need, and great owners to communicate with. First world problem, I like hot tubs after skiing, ha ha.

Nice location and well appointed. We ended up staying an extra night stayed and Lori was very accommodating and quick to communicate.

Amazing location, mins from the mountain, mins from the lake, the stream nearby is beautiful! The house was extremely clean and Lori was a fantastic help. Not much internet but there is a cell phone booster in the house but you shouldn't need internet on a trip here, there was so much to do. The yard was huge and our kids loved playing out there with the anticipation of finding a turkey. Cherry on top, there was cold water waiting for us in the fridge which was greatly appreciated on a hot day. We went in the heat of the summer and the home has no ac but they had fans ready for us and at night it was cool with the mountain air. Loved our stay!

The property was very nice, clean and well maintained. We were in Sandpoint during the heatwave, but lots of fans and strategic use of windows kept the house totally pleasant day and night. We used to live on Woodland dr, so it was so fun to visit the old neighborhood! Thanks for the easy early check in and a great stay!

We don’t usually leave reviews, but we felt compelled to for this property to give some friendly advice from one rental property owner to another.Good Points: house/kitchen is well-stocked (pots/pans need replacing but okay to use). Provided basic spices, oils and condiments. Owner was responsive and even nice enough to have her manager stop by with extra dishwasher pods so we didn’t have to buy a whole box. Location is nice, in a quiet neighborhood with wild turkeys and deer wandering about. The issues below can be easily and inexpensively remedied. As rental property owners, we have learned that the more bullet-proof one can make the property, the better the rental experience will be for all involved. Entrance: The steps leading up to the front door were coated with about an inch-thick layer of ice. This is not only dangerous, but a major liability. This is easily fixed with some sand and rock-salt. The door has a keyless entry however we spent 15 min in 10-degree temps trying to open the door. After several attempts we figured out that we had to pull up and out on the door to get it to open. Every time we left the home, we struggled to both lock and unlock the door. After calling the owner we were informed that indeed the door had to be pushed/pulled in a weird way to open/close. The hinges clearly need to be adjusted – again, an easy fix. WiFi/Internet: The house is listed as having reliable internet, but we never got it to work. We called the owner after trying to connect a variety of different devices. The owner suggested unplugging their Alexa puck and rebooting the router, neither of which helped. The owner’s final suggestion was that we drive to the nearest Starbucks and work from there…which is unreasonable given that we are paying for a property with internet. This was incredibly aggravating as we had rented the property for six nights. Our child needed to be online for school and my husband and I needed to check-in for work. We ended up having to leave early and forfeit two days with our friends because we couldn’t get online. If the property doesn’t have reliable internet, this should be made abundantly clear on the listing.Basic Maintenance/Bulletproofing: There are pictures hanging low on most every wall and there are knick-knacks on every flat surface. This is just asking for trouble/damage. Example - ceramic towel holder set on the edge of a small bathroom counter with two towels on it. When one towel
