The good: this property was close enough to walk to everything, which we appreciate. You could see most of the torchlight parade from our patio. We also appreciate them being dog-friendly, which is a must for us. The decor and house in general were updated and nice enough for us. The gas fireplace was nice.
The bad: first and foremost, there is no Wi-Fi here, and the phone signal is bad. I don’t believe it was stated in the description, or maybe I just didn’t see it. My husband had to go into town to check work email and such. The teenagers weren’t happy either.
The setup for the bedrooms was a bit odd. The one downstairs bedroom had a smallish bed (full or Queen?). One upstairs bedroom had a large (king size) bed, while the other had bunk beds. However, the bunk bed room had an upstairs patio. If I had young children, I wouldn’t want them having their own outdoor patio. We wanted to give the upstairs to our kids, but this meant we took a smaller bed. It was just not well thought out in my opinion.
Also, the kitchen supplies were a bit lacking. There were plenty of pots and pans, cups, plates, etc. However, there was salt but no pepper, no cooking oil or spices, very few (if any) cleaning supplies, etc. The outdoor floormat was extremely dirty and therefor unusable. We let management know, but they never replied or replaced the mat.
We would stay here again if needed. But in this day and age, Wi-Fi is an expectation, especially in an area where phone service is lacking. If they added Wi-Fi, rearranged furniture, and added a few kitchen supplies, this would be a great property.

This property is in poor condition for any property at this price point. The sink leaks and the cabinet is rotted. Broken windows, missing gutters, black mold in the shower. Found trash under couch and upstairs bed. The property manager only allows limited toilet paper and trash bags and you have to buy the rest. No outside chairs on the porch. The dishwasher is broken. The couches are busted and broken.

Pictures make it look much nicer than it is. Not enough blankets, no paper towels. For a rental it was really bare bones. TV kept going out. Definitely does not sleep 10.

Best location- house needs TLC
We LoVe the location & floorplan of the house!! We’ve stayed here twice- 3 years apart. The house needs major TLC! There were several things that was never fixed 3 years apart! A broken window, broken tile, under kitchen sink cabinet had rotted wood, & non working living room light. The bedspreads seemed to not be washed- there was visually dirtiness on them. The dishwasher was broken- so dishes were not sanitized when washed by hand which seems very irresponsible during a national pandemic!

Red River is a great place to stay
The house is great just has some small maintenance issues. The fan in the living room needs a new light bulb. I think there is a leak under the kitchen sink. None of it really affected our stay and it was in a great location. I would stay here again.

Underwood stay 17-21 July
We were surprised to see stairs as the main entrance. We specifically selected that property as my mother-in-law is elderly (85) and does not do stairs well. We liked that property because it had a main floor bedroom for her. We did not have much choice in properties as we were late making plans, and it was the only property that had a main floor bed. The point is we don't remember seeing that in the pictures and given choices we would not have selected that property. It did work out and she handled the stairs ok. Suggest adding a pic for the entrance for disabled or handicapped. If it was there and we missed it then that's on us.
Also we almost had a significant issue with shower hot water. MIL was taking shower (main floor) when someone flushed the adjacent toilet. The water went from shower hot to OMG hot. After the event she was ok, but maybe check the hot water temps as others made a comment about the hot water in the main floor bathroom. We never thought about it until it was over with, and I know you like to have ample hot water due to the colder water temps...but it could be an issue especially for young children or older adults that can't move fast!!
Overall the stay was good, we enjoyed the property. the above may help others in the future.
thanks

We thoroughly enjoyed the proximity of this quaint property to the slopes, mountain base, and town. It was nice and quiet on a dead end street and had a beautiful view of the mountain and sunsets! We found the check-in/check-out was very easy and the starters of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters, and a few light snacks were helpful. The dining table pulls out with a bench for added seating. Our 2 teenage children did not sleep well in the full size bunks--probably better for smaller children or bring a mattress topper (egg crate). The queen bed downstairs may need the mattress turned, it had a head-down tilt. The king bed upstairs was quite comfy! The kitchen needs a cutting board. The upstairs bathroom had mold on the ceiling; we ran the vent and kept the door open after showers to help control the moisture. Overall all our stay was fun and memorable.

We had a good time. Cabin was nice.
Red River is awesome. Our only complaint at this location would be limited parking. We couldn’t get the fireplace to work, but Res River Real Estate said they would be checking it out.
