Welcome to Sunshine Daydream! Our East Beach cottage, 'Sunshine Daydreams', offers modern amenities combined with the homes original 1940’s vintage charm- This makes for the perfect East Beach experience! Enjoy the open floor plan, large country-style kitchen table, two ensuite master bedrooms, a bunk room and a charming green room. Invite your family and friends to stay and experience their most comfortable beach vacation yet. We are an easy five-minute walk to the beach and offer a refreshing salt-water pool in our private backyard. Our home has it all; when you aren’t in the pool or on the beach, sit on our charming front porch to enjoy your morning coffee, or ride your bike on the scenic paths to nearby shops and restaurants. You may never want to leave! Our four bedroom, three bathroom home easily sleeps 10 people and is fully furnished including an outdoor shower, Wi-Fi (no cable), Keurig coffee maker and a washer/dryer. The first bedroom, near the kitchen, has a queen bed. The second bedroom has two bunk beds, sleeping 4 people. The third bedroom has a queen bed with a large ensuite bath, which has two separate vanities and a walk in shower. The master bedroom has a king bed, smart tv and an ensuite with a tub/shower combo and a double vanity. East Beach is the best location on St. Simons Island with a neighborhood feel, salty ocean breezes, a beach unaffected by the tides and restaurants and shopping around the corner. Pros: ample room for our family. 6 adults, 4 kids, pool, recommend renting a golf cart beach is quite a hike, public beach parking is nice if you drive . Short drive to beach and restaurants. Nice kitchen , and front porch, lots of shade. Quiet street. Cons: parking very tight for 3 cars, toaster did not work, outside by pool needs cleaning, lots of mildew. no propane for gas grill, they said not their responsibility and could have someone come over next day to fill but we were grilling for Fathers Day so we replaced tank, The next renters will have plenty of gas. air conditioner filters were black with dust, one extra in house, we bought an extra to replace. Wicker furniture on front porch needs replacing. Great house just needs some maintenance. St. Simons is a beautiful island.

This was a great little house to stay in. The beach wasn’t too far for walking. The pool was a great bonus for the kids to play in.

Cute home near the beach. It has been updated. I would recommend. I would suggest that the cleaning crew clean the floor vents and bathroom fans and the floors and edging more and leave cleaning materials behind for guests.

Great Layout and nice open kitchen with large eating area. 1 bathroom needs to be re-painted, as well as outside of house. Water pressure was lower than we are used to, but overall the house suited our needs. Comfortable and plenty of space for 6 people (did not use bunk bed room)

Location was perfect! Plenty of room and sitting area. Loved the front porch! This was our first time on St. Simon’s and we hope to return!

I've stayed in this home 3 times and all have been good. We like that the pool is only accessible through two of the back bedrooms (less likelihood that kids will wander out there). The AC definitely has trouble keeping up. They have added window units in the bedrooms since my last stay, but the kitchen and living space stay pretty warm.

The pictures online do not do this house justice, it is absolutely amazing! We had a great time staying here and would definitely recommend to anyone. The pool is amazing and the walk to the beach is only about 5 mins.

Great stay on St. Simons
The family had such a lovely time on St. Simons. The house was large enough for everyone to have some space and the pool was the best! We absolutely loved it!

Overall this house suited our group of ten family members spanning ages 11-74. The pool size, surrounding area, and landscaping/screening are nice, but it is not well lit for evening swimming and the picnic table and a couple of the several chairs are weather worn. The outdoor shower is good for rinsing off after a beach trip, but does not have an enclosure. (Note the exits from house to pool are through the master bath and the larger secondary bathroom. ) The walk to beach is a short distance, however half of the walk is through loose sand and a dune trail - no different than for most East Beach rentals. The master bedroom AC situation described in other reviews is a fair assessment that we remedied by keeping the door to the walkway cracked overnight. The sitting areas are very comfortable and TV services are plentiful. The kitchen is stocked well with eating and cooking utensils, pots, frying pans and glass bakewear, but doesn't have any metal baking pans or measuring cups/spoons that I found. (The electric griddle was great for pancake making.) Sitting options for dining are plentiful. The front porch is a nice gathering spot with two ceiling fans. The small side screen porch is another gathering spot - with the great amenity of second working refrigerator (not freezer). The only true criticism that I have is the comfort of the master king bed (a bit of trenching in the typical sleeping spots therfore sleeps too firm for my taste) and the bunk room (particularly thin/worn, especially on the bottom beds, and definitely not suitable for kids/ teenagers over 100 pounds).

The house is a classic beach house with very nice bathroom and kitchen updates. A beautiful and private outdoor pool area will be great for warmer weather visits, although our five year old somehow enjoyed floating around on the various pool floats even in December! It is very clean, with plenty of towels and cookware. Easy walking distance to the beach with public access on 6th and 8th streets. The residents of St. Simons are all so friendly and one family even invited us over try out their HUGE bouncy house, so fun! We had perfect weather while we were there and look forward to another stay in 2022!

Has alot more space and is even cuter than pictures! We stayed for week. The master bed and living room furniture are so comfy. The pool was amazing great size and loved that it's salt water so no harse chemicals for my kids sensitive skin and my allergies. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and dishes. There was plenty of linens including beach towels for our stay. The longer you stay the more little things you notice about the house but nothing to effect your enjoyment of this home. There's even extra fridge room in screened in porch which is between master and sunroom with no outside access which was great for us with a toddler. There's alittle grassy area in front of the house for kids to play as well away from the pool. There's only 2 things I would change having some sort of higher lock on all doors and some type of cover for range dials due to safety concerns of having small children, we made it work but had to be extra vigilant with our rambunctious toddler. Overall everyone loved there stay, the location of Eastbeach is such a great neighborhood not a ton of traffic, quiet, close enough to shops and restaurants but not so close to effect the chill of your vaca. The walking to the beach is a bit much for older, bad knees and lil legs from the house itself but 2 to 5 mins drive to much easier beach access.

Overall the property was exactly what was advertised, the house was spacious enough for 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 13-2. The pool area was perfect for us. My kids specifically loved the bunk beds that they got to share with their cousins.. which meant no sleep, but its vacation, who cares. We would certainly look into this location again, however, the only downside is the air conditioner.. it was set to a very high temp, and was nearly impossible to get cooled down.

Beautiful St. Simmons
Very spacious and location is great. 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min drive to to the pier. 2 min drive to grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops etc so location is excellent. Saltwater pool was enjoyed by all. Overall, the neighborhood and the house are lovely. Could do with some small updates but very minor and we had a lovely time. House is nice and cool though master bedroom can get quite warm compared to the rest of the house. Would recommend this cottage. We had a really lovely time and already planning our return visit!
