Nestled in Durango, this attractive house for $858 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This is a private home with over 170, 5 Star reviews! Please understand that We Do Not allow Smoking or Pets in our Home or Property. Please do not book our home if anyone in your party are Smokers. You will be Living the Dream in our Beautiful Executive Estate home! It has that feel of warmth and charm of a 5 star hotel! This is not a typical rental, but Our Personal Home. With 3 Fireplaces, Hot Tub, Air conditioning and Gorgeous Views! The main house is 4 bedrooms & 3 1/2 baths, and is Limited to 8 adults and 1 small child. For larger groups There's an Optional Guest House, with Queen Sleeper Sofa + 2 twin beds, and a Full Bath! This would allow a total of 12 guest. The Guesthouse is $179.00 per night.( Holidays rate $250.00 per night). With the guest house it’s a total of 5 bedrooms & 4 1/2 baths. Start your day with a steaming cup of brew overlooking the beauty of the valley. Since the home is just 5 minutes from downtown Durango, you can spend your days exploring Durango (take the Trolley into town); or hike our 42 wooded acres. When evening comes, you can kick back on the expansive decks or in the hot tub, in awe of the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the Animas Valley, Red Cliffs and the Animas Mountains. Enjoy the romance of the steam train as it chugs by in the distance, with the mountains as your backdrop. This amazing open floor plan is perfect for 8 people in the main house with 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, 3 fireplaces, and baseboard heating (Nest theromstats, five-zones so everyone is happy). The Master bedroom boast its own private deck and gas fireplace! Also the 2nd Master bedroom on the main level has its own fireplace, patio and private entrance! The furniture, and all furnishing in our home are new or less than 8 yrs. old. There is a new full bath on the main level and 1/2 bath that has just been remodeled. We know you and your family/guests will enjoy the vaulted ceilings, wire brushed knotty pine doors, hardwood floors, complete surround sound system, temperature controlled wine cooler and all the amenities (even a high efficiency washer and 2 dryers) . For our winter guests, our 2 car garage is heated. Those 42 acres back up to 1275 acres of BLM land, and if you’re into rock climbing, they include elevation changes of 1,000 feet with some sheer rock faces. You can also enjoy family game night with an Foosball table, Air Hockey table, Ping pong table, poker table top and many other games. Be prepared to enjoy every aspect of Durango from this perfect location! July 2018 we installed Air Conditioning, and new living room furniture in the main house. July 2019 we added Air Conditioning to the Guesthouse.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home with a spectacular view. The house was very clean, fully stocked and spacious. The host was great to work with. He called us, several times during the week, to make sure we were taken care of. He even went out of his way to decorate for Christmas, since we had a child with us. We highly recommend this house and host to anyone staying in Durango!

My family of 7 enjoyed the house and amenities. Awesome views and nicely stocked kitchen made the stay very enjoyable. As did the frequent use of the very clean hot tub. Dennis, the owner, was beyond helpful with advice and communication about the home.

This house was so comfortable. Dennis was in constant communication and answered all of our questions and anticipated what his guests would need. The views from the deck and kitchen windows are amazing. We managed to get a prime week of fall color and had many fabulous adventures in the area. The deck gets fabulous morning sun and it was hard to get moving after breakfast because we were so comfortable. A great family vacation home. Thank you Dennis!

This home is beautiful, relaxing and the view is stunning! It is just a few minutes from downtown Durango so it was super convenient for everything we had planned. Dennis was a perfect host and made sure our stay went smoothly. Many listings show pictures of beautiful houses that are disappointing when you see them in person, but not this one! This home is every bit as beautiful in person as the pictures, if not more!

The location of this home is not only convenient to downtown Durango, it is nestled on the cliffs of the Animas Valley with breathtaking views which made us feel as though we were more remote. The dark night sky was incredible with the full Milkyway overhead viewed from the deck or hot tub. We were in town for our daughter's wedding sharing the home with my sister and her family - like a mini family reunion. The open kitchen, dining and living room, and spacious deck made it comfortable and convenient to hang out together and enjoy meaningful conversations and lots of good laughs. The dining room table accommodated all 7 of us plus my daughter and her fiance allowing us to make new family memories. We stayed during the hottest days of July making it a bit warm in the late afternoon, even with AC running, but as soon as the sun went down, the temps dropped and we enjoyed the cooling breeze on the deck watching the sun's glow reflect on the red rocks across the valley - spectacular! Dennis was extremely prompt and forth coming with communication. We had one challenge with the dishwasher and he immediately replaced it for us! Exemplary hosting! We enjoyed hiking and bike riding in the area and swimming at Lake Nighthorse and in the Animas River and of course shopping down town. It was the perfect location and home for us to enjoy the week-long wedding festivities. Highly recommend it!

Our family had a great vacation in Duranco. Dennis's House was wonderful, had everything we needed, and was in a great location to get around for various activities. Kids enjoyed the Hot Tub, and Adults enjoyed the Grill and Patio, with gorgeous views. Kitchen was very well equipped, as we ate in most nights. Can't say enough good things about this place.

We had a great time! Kitchen was fully stocked and there was plenty of room for our group. Dennis was very attentive and friendly. Check in was a breeze. We definitely loved the hot tub at the end of a long day. Would stay again!

We had an amazing time, the house is fully equipped and very organized. Ideal for big groups. The only downside would be the walk up to the door, as it is an uneven surface and hard to walk through, older people might find it hard to walk through. Otherwise it was amazing and exactly as posted on VRBO. Thank you so much!

My group included 6 couples, which was the maximum amount of people that could stay at the property. We included the guest house for an extra fee and two couples stayed in it. We never felt crowded for room in either house and they were both very very clean upon arrival. Before our arrival, the owner and I communicated via text or phone and he was very informative. I feel like he genuinely cared that we had a good time while staying at his property. Purgatory Ski Resort is only about a 25 minute drive and the cabin is located just one mile north of Durango, which was also convenient. The hot tub was very relaxing after a long day of skiing and the open design of the kitchen/living area provided just the entertaining area we all needed to enjoy each other's company. The cabin had all of the amenities we needed and we couldn't be happier that we found this spot. We definitely hope to book again!

We had a glorious Thanksgiving in Durango. The house is beautiful with stunning views all around. Watching the stars in the brisk cold in the hot tub was perfect. The 3 main bedrooms are all wonderful with comfortable beds. We were able to easily cook a lavish thanksgiving spread in the kitchen. Dennis was gracious and helpful. Highly recommended.

Lots of space for 4 adult couples! The house layout is nice and gave us a lot of room for cooking, & hanging out inside and outside. The several adult game tables provided extra entertainment. Everyone loved the outdoor space, which includes a large hot tub, deck areas, just outside of the city. Overall it was a great place to stay and for our family to hang out.

We had a delightful stay at the property. The property was clean and well maintained and the location is great, just a few minutes from downtown Durango. The back deck is situated such that you feel like you are at the top of the tree line and the views of the mountains are lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the deck during the cool crisp mornings for a cup of coffee and used the space again every night. It was also very relaxing sitting in the hot tub and star gazing. The air hockey and ping pong tables got plenty of use as well. There was something for everyone at this property and would recommend it for anyone visiting the area.

My family stayed 3 weeks at Dennis's house. It's 3 weeks we will never forget. The house was amazing. Waking up every morning looking to a cup of coffee with specatular views of mountains never got old. The house easily accomodated my family of 5, and allowe for plenty of extra space for other family and friends to visit. Easy quick drive into town as well. Would highly recommend staying here. Dennis was a great and informative host as well.
