Explore the high desert while you stay at this cute Lofty Lane vacation home in Sunriver! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees, the whole family will appreciate being close to the entire area's outdoor fun. Boasting aquatic centers, tennis, golf, and Deschutes River activities in nice weather, as well as ample winter sports in the colder months, Sunriver is Central Oregon's year-round premiere resort community. SHARC, Sunriver's Aquatic Center, is located only minutes away, and this home comes with six free passes! You and your family will have a blast at SHARC's pools, play areas, and year-round tubing hill. For ski bums, Mt. Bachelor is only 20 miles away, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails are abundant in the nearby national forest lands. Sunriver Stables offers horse-pulled sleigh rides in Victorian-style sleighs along the scenic and snowy Deschutes River between Thanksgiving and February. This cottage has multiple outdoor decks for unwinding and breathing in the crisp mountain air. The decks are great for relaxing with a glass of wine or spotting deer in the yard. Terrible cabin for the winter. First photo of the listing shows a wood burning stove, and the description also showcases that as a feature. Showed up to see a sign that said to not use it because it is “out of order”…
Aside from the obviously misleading post, the temperature dropped to -7, and stayed well below freezing the entire trip. Ran the heater the entire time and the cabin never got above 59 degrees. Front door doesn’t close all the way so a steady freezing draft can be felt constantly with the couch right there. Shower door doesn’t open or close. Linens are terrible. No snow shovel on site, so it was very difficult to walk in and out through over a foot of snow. Driveway area wasn’t plowed for the first three days I was there. Expressed my dissatisfaction and disappointment, didn’t get a response until 11p the night before I checked out. LOL - Stay ANYWHERE else, this was a terrible experience and waste of money.

Close enough to walk to the water park.

This was great for our family of 4. Could use some updating, but we are not that picky and I felt the price was really reasonable compared to other houses in Sunriver. Sliding door and screen could be fixed as it was hard to get in and out. I could not figure out how to run dishwasher either. Overall location was great and our needs were met for our short stay!

Cute house, we stayed here for Christmas and had a great time. Close to the village.

Probably a better fit for anytime other than summer. No AC. I realize that this is my own fault. Didn’t realize until a week before we were scheduled to stay. And if we were there during a heat wave. But the sliders didn’t have screens so in the evening when it cooled off we couldn’t leave them open to get a breeze without letting bugs in. We had to go up to Bend to buy a large fan to make it bearable. We didn’t have room to take it with us so if you read this and use the portable fan, you’re welcome! The place was clean, but dated. There were some minor cosmetic issues that won’t alter your stay. Not a bad place to stay. Convenient to SHARC. But I wouldn’t recommend it during the summer heat.

We enjoyed making family meals together with our children. Also enjoyed the walk to the Local park .
The cabin/home was nothing fancy, but very comfortable and had exactly what we needed for our stay .

We had 5 adults , 1 child and a dog. Great location and a cute cabin. Space worked well for us. However, cabin needs some major TLC ASAP! carpets were a mess and bedding is very old and warn. Upstairs shower head was broken and leaking through the kitchen ceiling below. (Thanks to maintenance getting there quickly to fix it) kitchen was not well stocked so it was a challenge to cook with what was there. Bring your own bikes or rent from the village. The bikes that are at the house were pretty difficult to ride, one of them didn't actually work.
We did actually have a great time there. Just hope the owners will put some love back into their property.

Great location - walking distance to SHARC and walking/biking to the Village. My only suggestion would be a small investment in new sheets and pillows.

The amenities were all there. I grew up going to the Cluster Cabins and was super excited about this cabin. It made me feel very comfortable while trying to relax with the loss of my husband. We too had spent time in Sunriver and he would have loved this cabin as well.

Never been to Sunriver before so we thought it would be a fun family trip. It totally was. The cabin was perfect for the 6 of us and our puppy dog. We loved walking the trails around the house and riding the bikes. We will be back again.

Has Its Little Warts But A Comfortable Stay
Noone will confuse this house for 5-star accommodations but it is comfortable and roomy. Enjoyed the location; nearby town center and proximity to Mt. Bachelor/sno-parks.
My one disappointment was that the DVD player was incompatible with the TV. I called for service and it was replaced by the end of the day. Unfortunately, it was my son's birthday and he had an agenda that started with a family movie before heading out to the snow. Can't get that opportunity back.

We had a great experience during our first stay in Sunriver. The house was warm, clean, cozy and well stocked. It was perfect for our 3 kids and dog. We made use of the wood burning stove, kitchen, and tv. The kids built snowmen around the house. Austin from Vacasa came quickly to help us with our dryer. Won’t hesitate to book again!

The beds were comfortable and the location was good. The SHARC passes were great too. The not so great parts were the broken couch, 2- 6x20 inch holes in the carpet by the upstairs slider, screens that are barely attached (which makes it less nice when there is no AC and you have to rely on windows open at night), doors (laundry and bathroom) that don't close properly and don't lock, warped flooring downstairs, and old warped pans for cooking. I found dog food on the stairs, and we don't have a dog. We also had a maintenance issue (dryer vent was not attached) and they sent the order for repair to a different house... You can find a better place to stay in Sunriver.

Worked great for our family, friends and our two dogs. Even on the record setting heat dome weekend, it was comfortable to sleep without having A/C. Well laid out and a good fit for us. Thanks!

We loved the home. It was cozy and had just enough room for the 4 of us with our dogs. The beds were a little hard for my liking, but other than that this was a nice home in a good location.

We enjoyed our stay here even though we ended up there on the hottest week of the year! The house aired out well in the evenings and stayed cool most of the day with 4-6pm being a little toasty. We used the SHARC passes and our daughter swam for the first time, played cards on the deck in the evening, and enjoyed the walk/bike paths around Sunriver. The kitchen is pretty snug which is good for small groups and/or if you plan to eat out, but wouldn't suffice if you are looking to cook a lot.

Great relaxing week. Quiet location is close to the village, sharc, and the park. Once the property gets a driveway this will be a perfect getaway. This would also help with the dust in the home.

Lofty Lane
Lofty Lane is a very quaint home with a cabin feel. It is a well loved home that had many things that need fixed. We enjoyed our stay regardless of the broken items. My biggest suggestion for improvement would be the unpaved driveway and sidewalk. I felt like our feet and shoes were constantly covered in dirt. The other homes in the circle were paved and it would be a wonderful improvement to this house.

Incredible location, though needs easy fixes to be worth the price
Things we liked:
- gorgeous setting & surrounding area. Loved the pine smell surrounding the house
- easy access to things like the bike path (& bikes provided) in the backyard
- good internet & access to streaming TV services
Things that prevented us from rating 5 stars:
- unnecessarily difficult or awkward to open the sliding door to get into the house. The screen door also had some flaws
- we ended up with white dog hair all over from previous visitors
- pillows were either totally flat or lumpy
- back door deadbolt unusually difficult to unlock
Would rate 3.5 stars if it were an option, though rating 4 as any issues seem easy to fix. Thanks for the stay!
