3 Bedroom Two Bath Walk to Long Beach and Good Harbor Beach
About this house rental
My husband and I want to assure you that we take your family's health and safety very seriously. Our house is professionally cleaned after each guest, to ensure your comfort. Our home offers self check in and keyless entry, and if you are more comfortable using your own linens and towels, please let us know and we will accommodate you. We want you to be able to relax and enjoy your vacation. Purchased in October 2016, please enjoy our 3 Bedroom, two bath home, It sleeps 7 comfortably, with 2) queen size bedrooms, and one bedroom with bunk beds and a trundle. There is room for an extra person on our couch. Both full bathrooms have been remodeled, one features a walk in shower, and the other has a tub/shower combo. There is also an outdoor shower for your use after returning from the beach. Our home features an open floor plan for the kitchen and living room, complete with skylights. Relax on the patio with your morning coffee or dinner and drinks. There is also a laundry room off of the kitchen with a washer and dryer for your convenience. Additional amenities include two 55" smart TV's, one in the bedroom and one in the living area (use must use your Netflix account), an Xbox 1 (please bring your own games), WIFI, cable TV, an outdoor grill and patio furniture. All linens and towels are included. It is a short walk to Long Beach from our home (less that 5 minutes), and just a 10 minute walk to Good Harbor Beach if you are looking for a change of scenery. The house also offers plenty of parking space. Rockport's famous Bear Skin Neck, with all the art galleries, food and shopping you can enjoy is a bike ride or quick trip in the car downtown (less than 3 miles away). In the summer months we rent from Saturday to Saturday, with a 7 night minimum.

Visited new england states with friends. Good central location to visit the area. Quiet neighborhood n close to grocery shop n excellent places to eat.

We stayed here for a weeklong trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a plan of going to Salem, Vermont, and New Hampshire. The house was nice with no issues for us and the kids. The owner was very responsive when I needed to get ahold of them with questions. Everyone in the general area was very nice to out of towners. The local beach was nice along with the local communities.

The house was lovely and in a nice locale. The only thing we found difficult to manage were all the steps up and down from the bedrooms. One person in the group has vision issues.
But the hosts were very responsive when we had questions.

We booked the home for 2 adult couples and this was a great choice! The home looked amazing and was very cozy with the divided floor plan. The host made us feel at home with quick communications back and forth with questions we had. The cleaning crew will need to do some work because there was dust and cob webs throughout the home but still very presentable. Overall I would definitely recommend booking this home and would do it again for our family in a heartbeat.

Location was great. Access easy. Interior of home was musty smelling, dated, and NO attention to detail in cleanliness. After notifying the owner of the condition we found the house in, we checked out two hours after checking in. We notified the owner to have someone swing by to confirm our departure. The reasonable standards of a VBRO property were not met. Very unsatisfied. Traveled four hours back home. Hoping to see some kind of refund or credit. : (

A good location for getting either to Gloucester or Rockport. But walking to the beach is hazardous
No sidewalks no shoulder. It is however an easy and short ride. Beautiful Beach.
The house sleeps 8 but only if two people sleep on the curved leather sofa. Enough room for six
Would be a better description. The third shower is an outside shower not enclosed and cold only!
The house was very HOT no air the fans provided were very dirty as was the house. Some windows didn’t open well and the living room has no blinds or privacy.I would recommend a new house cleaning service.

This is a perfect home for a family. The house is spacious and clean. The yard is beautiful and easy parking. The walk to the closest beach is 5 minutes. Ice cream and great pizza right at the corner.
Downtown Rockport is minutes away. Downtown Gloucester is about 10 minutes away. Perfect location. Can't wait to stay again

Good house and location close to beach as advertised. House was clean and private. Suggest window treatments in living room windows. Overall, good stay on a short notice. We had a great time in Rockport/Gloucester.

We had a short vacation here last week. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal, we had only one beach day! The property location is ideal for the beach, grocery shopping, and ice cream dessert after dinner.
We purchased lobsters directly off the boat in Gloucester, and prepared them ourselves for a seafood feast with steamed clams from Turner's Seafood.
The kitchen/great room configuration is seamless for conversation and dining. The light that streams into the house from the windows and skylights is delightful on a sunny day. The kitchen is chock full of essentials, but is very disorganized, with plates and silverware located in cupboards and drawers which are not adjacent to each other.
We ate some of our meals outside on the patio, facing the immense rock formation above. This was also a peaceful place for daily yoga practice.
The washer and dryer were a most welcome amenity.
We found the house very accommodating for 5 adults, all over 65.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again. The space was perfect for our family. My husband & I and our three adult daughters & their partners found the bedrooms very comfortable. The open concept kitchen/living room/dining room was perfect for visiting and relaxing together. We were able to walk to both Long Beach and Good Harbor. The patio was perfect for morning coffee and eating outside. The house and the yard were even nicer than the in the pictures. Thank you for a wonderful place to have our vacation!

The setup of the house worked very well for our family with the master bedroom and full bath on one end and a bunk room, queen bedroom, and full bath on the other end. The open living room, dining, and kitchen area made entertaining easy. The house had plenty of linens, towels, utensils, and kitchen equipment. The best part was that it was a short walk to the beautiful Lond Beach. We has great weather and lots of fun in the sun and ocean.

The house has great space, the main living has the kitchen open to the family room with vaulted ceilings and sky lights, a really nice area. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms are separated nicely too, the main bed and bath are on one side and two other bedrooms on the other. The yard is great, we had a extended family pizza party and everyone sat at the tables out back, the kids used the big side yard to play football and cornhole. The owner was super friendly and very responsive to any questions we had. The location is really great, very close to Surfside (pizza/ice cream/lobster rolls) and Good Harbor and Long Beaches. The only downfall, to no fault of the rental, is the busy street with no sidewalks that has to be navigated to get anywhere. Overall we had a great week at this house!

This property is an ideal location for Long Beach, good harbor beach and Rockport. The outside shower was great for wash off after the beach. Cool shaded and breezy backyard patio area.

We went to Boston to visit our daughter and her husband. We really enjoyed our visit. Next time we go up we will stay here again. Too cold for the water and the beach thou! But that was ok we had nice family quality time. Family game nights and dinners. The host went over and beyond by sending new pots and pans to the house for us to use. Very much appreciated!

The house fit all 8 of us comfortably and included everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Our friends stayed in an apartment-type house that shared walls with 2 sets of neighbors, and they couldn’t walk anywhere safely. They hung out at this house with us. We barbecued in a private backyard and front yard with plenty of space for kids to run around and play safely. We walked to two beaches, one in each direction. The dads dropped the moms and kids off at Good Harbor beach with all our gear, then parked at the house and walked over. This avoided a $30 reserved parking fee per car. The house included all the amenities we needed: sheets, towels, extra air mattress, TV, games, BBQ, a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and even a wagon. The home was central to a trip to Boston, Concord and Lexington, even Maine. The town of Gloucester has interesting sites to see, as well as the best lobster and scallops! We had a great vacation!

We have stayed at Ann’s properties several times. She is always very responsive to any questions or needs. The property is a described and we enjoyed our weekend getaway! Looking forward to next year when we can visit again!

Three comfortable bedrooms. Wide open floor plan. Easy access to the many other villages in Essex County.

All was great but we did vacuum the cobwebs in several rooms. Not a lot but did it anyway.
The blinds in my room and bunk room should be left down since we could not get them down until you guy came.
Other wise I would book it again.

Fun yard and great inside open design for spending time with family and/or friends. Well-equipped and comfortable! Set back from road so safer for young children.

The rental was wonderful and just right for our trip. However I was expecting easier beach access. It was more than a five minute walk to the beach and you had to pay for parking at the public beach if you wanted to drive. All in all it was a great space for a quick get away. The host was quick to respond to whatever questions I had about the area or the property. Saving this property for future visits.

Great location
This is a great house in a really great location. Only a few minutes walk to Long Beach, a great sandwich/pizza/ice cream shop, and only a few more minutes to Good Harbor. The house was great but small for our group of 7. The 3rd bedroom that has 3 beds is really small, if you pull out the lower bed there is no room for bags or to walk, one of my kids ended up sleeping on the couch. There is no air conditioning, which most places don't have, but since there are no blinds on the windows in the main room it got really hot during the day. Overall this was a great house but I would say no more than 6 people.

Family vacation
This house has a great set up for a family vacation. Two “ wings” for sleeping and bathrooms; then a large central area for meals / games/ reading. The back patio is great , private. To me the outdoor shower is something to look forward to after a sandy day at Good Harbor beach (one of the best in New England).

Great family stay!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very communicative prior to our arrival, and answered questions quickly along the way. The house was within walking distance of the beach which my kids loved very much! It was clean, plenty of great light and amazing windows to capture the breeze each day. We would not hesitate to return!

Great location for touring beaches and parks. Right in the middle of nearby lovely towns. Well stocked with dishes and cleaning supplies. Clean bedding.

Easy walk to the beach. Minutes from Rockport. awesome sub/pizza/icecream shop down the street. Plenty of towels and beach stuff. nice to have a grill.

Lovely house, great location.
This is a lovely home in a great location. Close to beaches, Gloucester and Rockport. Nice big kitchen and living area, and outdoor patio/dining area. Ann is an attentive and responsive host.

Very nice cozy house! Love the space in the living room! The kitchen was perfect cook all 3 meals while the kids was in the living room. Close walk to the 2 beaches. Everything perfect my kids love the 3 shower. Beaches during the day when it’s hot! And board games and movies at night!

Very nice cozy house! Love the space in the living room! The kitchen was perfect cook all 3 meals while the kids was in the living room. Close walk to the 2 beaches. Everything perfect my kids love the 3 shower. Beaches during the day when it’s hot! And board games and movies at night!

These are:
1. In the bunk bed room, the sheets and bedding on the top bunk were stained and not clean. We had to wash them before they could be used. The trundle bed did not have any bedding.
2. The kitchen counter was dirty with food crumbs and the kitchen sink was not clean.
3. There were dirty dishes that were in the cupboards.
4. The floors were not clean. Our socks showed how dirty the floors were.
5. The availability of a vacuum cleaner or an electric broom would have been nice to have.
6. The Gloucester regulations on recycling would be nice to know. Their web site did not offer any specific information that we could find. We ended up putting everything in the trash.
If the cleanliness issues can we addressed with the cleaning service, we would consider staying here again.
