About this apartment rental
Our condo is located off the private road, Overbrook Road, south of The Homestead Resort's main entrance. We have two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and the kitchen, living area and deck overlook Lake Michigan, The Manitou Islands and spectacular sunsets. On the main floor (ground level), there is 1 bedroom with a twin bed over a full size bunkbed. There is another twin bed that pulls out from under the full size bed. This room can sleep up to 4 people. There is 1 full bath next to the bunk room and the kitchen, living/dining room are on the main floor as well. In the upstairs loft, there is a master suite with laundry area. The master bed is a very comfortable "Westin Heavenly Bed". We have cable and wifi. We also have a Weber grill for our guests to use. Wilderness is one of the only lakefront properties with fire pits on the beach for owner and guest use. We also supply firewood.

The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. The best thing about this stay was the view of the water and the direct beach access.

The location is peaceful and scenic and the condo is comfortably furnished. We appreciated little extras like full size bars of soap and kitchen supplies like foil and storage bags. Also, this is one of the cleanest Homestead condos we’ve rented!

Me, my husband and 2 kids stayed. Beautiful home on beach front. Nice quiet neighborhood. Very neat and clean. My son pointed out wifi worked really well( our home is a wifi black hole). The beach was cleaner than the one in traverse city. There were some great places to eat close by. I wish we had used the grocery store that was close to— the price range was pretty equal to Meijers. All in all family loved it.

The condo was great! Just enough room for my daughter and me for a few days. The master bed was so comfortable, and the living area was very nice. The condo has a wonderful view of the lake and was in such a peaceful location! It was great to have the beach in the backyard! Everything we needed was found in the condo.
The location is great! Glen Arbor is a really nice little town, and the condo is so close to other sights like Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.
We had one hiccup with the loss of power for a day of the complex. Mary responded very quickly to our call and kept in touch throughout the day to update us on the status of the electrical fixes. It didn't bother us too much as we were already planning to be out all day.
Overall, we had a great time in the area and loved staying at this rental!

This was such a wonderful stay -- possibly the most immaculately clean place ever too! The location was incredible -- close to everything and we loved being able to easily walk to the beach and have a fire. It was just the calm retreat our family needed. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

We only had four short days, but made the most of them as we explored the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Returning to this VRBO each evening was wonderful. It was everything we were seeking and a little bit more. The location was perfect, especially when we could sit on the deck and see the Dunes and were steps aways from a Lake Michigan beach.
Mary and Charlie have fantastic location for their condo and have decorated it appropriately for the area. They are wonderful hosts and we are grateful they share their property for others to enjoy.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay with 3 of our adult children. Quiet place with great air circulation using fans by the windows for the cooler nights. Very clean with cheerful decorating. Back wall of living room has a sliding glass door with windows on either side to create an openness to the outdoors. Beautiful sunsets can be seen right from the deck. A short sandy path with some beach grass vegetation leads from the deck to a private sandy pebble beach with clear cool water. Our family enjoyed taking in the view and peacefulness along with swimming. Very helpful to have a washer and dryer in house. Close to town & nearby attractions. We loved the master bedroom on the second floor loft overlooking the living room with a view of Lake Michigan through the skylight. ❤️ Mary & Charlie were great hosts.

This property is located in Glen Arbor, which is definitely one of Michigan's finest gems! For people traveling to Michigan from out of state, this is a "must see" area! Located on a lovely beach, this condo is very clean and the property owners were wonderful to work with!

A very clean and quiet condo in a wonderful location. Much quieter than other condos we’ve stayed in at the Homestead.
It would’ve been nice to have a more amenities like coffee and laundry soap.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this condo on Lake Michigan. The location on the beach was fantastic, we enjoyed the Crystal River, the town of Glen Arbor was very close and nice, and the surrounding areas (e.g., Sleeping Bear Dunes) were great. The property manager treated us well, and we recommend this spot.

We are used to larger places but were happily surprised to see such a smart layout in the condo. It felt a lot bigger than we expected. Fam of 5 (3 kids-5,9,11) and didn’t feel crowded at all. Mary was very nice and responsive. You can’t beat the Lake MI view, stars, sunset and listening to the waves from the unit. Peaceful, clean and a short walk to the beach. No AC which I didn’t realize til arriving, but the weather was perfect with the windows open (end of July-mid 70’s/low 80’s and breezy.) The water was deeper not far from shore than we expected and a bit rough during our stay, so we didn’t get to swim as much but the fire pit was great and we spent a lot of time sitting on the beach while the kids played. Loved our stay!

LOCATION is fantastic! And truly a cute little condo exactly as listed. Comfortable beds and we weren't bothered by no air conditioning, plenty of fans and that beautiful Michigan weather. We truly enjoyed our time and would love to go back.. I will say this, and it is not a negative as it was very clearly told to us- so no fault to the listing- but to stay for a week with only 4 towels in the whole condo was a negative. We knew, it was told to us ahead of time, and we brought our own beach towels- but we had a family of five (with plenty of room- they utilized the small space well) and only 4 bath towels was a big bummer. No one loves to share towels or have to do the wash after every shower. A few more towels would make this listing perfect for us :)

As advertised, it had beautiful and unobstructed beach access. Beach is clean and not crowded at all. It was a two or three minute drive to town. The unit was very clean and ideal for our family of four. Well-appointed and a nice size. The owners were very easy to deal with and it was a relaxing, hassle-free stay. We would return!

Great location and updated condo. Was warmer than usual and could have used an extra fan in the front bedroom or overhead fan in living room. No complaints as a great place to stay.

The major draw of this rental is the amazing view of Lake Michigan. We loved throwing open the doors and windows and enjoying the breeze. I didn’t realize when I booked that this place doesn’t have AC but it wasn’t necessary at all on our trip. The kitchen is tight and wasn’t very easy to cook in if you really like to cook while on vacation, but I had pretty much everything I would need to cook. The bed was super comfortable and I got some of the best sleep I have had in a while. Overall a great, relaxing stay!

Exactly as advertised - great! On the beach and close enough to hear the waves and feel the lake breezes, but also a short (5-minute drive or 10-minute bike or car ride) in to town. The best part of the condo are the gorgeous sunsets with nothing between you and the water! We are already trying to figure out the best time to come back next year. Thank you!!!
