About this house rental
Nestled in Flathead Lake, this attractive house for $607 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This beautiful house is nestled above the lake in the trees in a lovely cliff like setting with lots of nature to nurture you and your family. The house features cathedral ceilings, Douglas Fir timber-frame wood interiors with expansive use of glass in the living and dining room areas that provide breath taking views of Flathead Lake and the surrounding mountains. The house has three levels with the entrance level being the living, dinning and kitchen areas with a powder room. The lower level features two spacious Master suites each with private baths sleeping 2 in each room. The upstairs offers a large bedroom and full bath with six single beds along with an open loft furnished with three single beds Enjoy all types of water sports on Flathead Lake which is pristine and the largest natural body of water west of the Mississippi. Flathead Lake is 27.3 miles long and up to 15.5 miles wide. Boats and water toys may be rented in Lakeside nearby. We are located 4.2miles South of Lakeside, twenty minutes South of Kalispell, and approx. 30 miles North of the town of Polson, Montana. It's approximately a one hour drive to the beautiful Glacier Park West entrance, less than one hour to Whitefish Mountain Resort and 30 minutes to Blacktail ski resort. Additionally there are many wonderful golf courses in the Flathead Valley. Recently the 15 acres beside and below us has sold and they are in the process of construction that we thought would be done by summer. I went down to talk to the contractor today (11/28/2023) because of the work they started doing at the waterfront. It is going to be much bigger than we anticipated and there will be major construction going on there for a couple of years (2024-2025), so the Bay will no longer be private, like it has been. They will be in the process of building a 27,000 Sq Ft home on the waterfront which will be seen just below our house and from our waterfront, along with building other buildings farther back on the 15 acres they bought.

Liked it very much. Price was reasonable for the house, cleaning etc costs were high. Lucky the temp was warm as heating did not work upstairs.
There were no chairs that were good / acceptable if you have back concerns. Chairs were marginal at best. We did not warch TV, good thing as I xoul3d not fugure out how to select a show
from the list. You might leave instructions.
Overall, very nice place. It worked well for us ( except the chairs).

Kathy was so helpful and i had a lot of questions before we arrived, her response time was instant. Kathy helped our family trip go very smooth, couldn't say Thank you enough! We love thiss house and the privacy of the Lake! There were 11 of us with 4 teen and everyone had the best time with plenty of room! It was a short walk to the lake but it wasn't bad, the wildlife made it worth it.. while walking to the private dock we seen moose and Lots of Deer. We will be returning again!

This was a gorgeous house with a wonderful view of the lake. However, it has two sets of steep stairs to access bedrooms. It also has a long, steep, switchback incline down to the dock to access the lake. It was difficult for my elderly parents to get up and down the stairs each day. It was also very disappointing for them to not be able to go down to the lake at all.

Fortunately we discovered this incredibly clean and comfortable house on a cliff up from Flathead lake near the town of Lakeside. Plenty of room for the 5 of us with everything we needed. Restaurants, a small grocery and a yummy cafe are in Lakeside a short drive away. Sailing and kayaking are close by and the entrance to West Glacier is about 45 min away. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer location and a gorgeous view.

Nice stay, great views and close by town for whatever you might need. However, there's not easy access to the lake for out of shape or older folks.

Wonderful house on Flathead Lake
Every year we do a week long family trip, this year took us to the Kalispell area and Glacier Park. Fortunately we discovered this incredibly clean and comfortable house on a cliff up from Flathead lake near the town of Lakeside. Plenty of room for the 5 of us with everything we needed. Restaurants, a small grocery and a yummy cafe are in Lakeside a short drive away. Sailing and kayaking are close by and the entrance to West Glacier is about 45 min away. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer location and a gorgeous view.

Amazing property
This is an amazing property with a million dollar view! It is a hike down to the dock, but totally worth it. We had a whole cove all to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this property

The house was very nice. The access to the lake (Flathead Lake) was not as easy as the pictures indicate. Quite the walk down and climb back up. Furniture in the house was a little dirty. The previous guests had just checked out the morning we checked in, so cleaning may have been rushed. Overall though, house was very nice, and comfortable.

The kitchen was also smaller than we thought but it worked out okay. The "hike" to the swim doc was quite a workout, 10 of the 12 of us were over 50. But it got us prepped for our hiking adventures. We loved the lake, so beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better cove.

Our family of 11 had a great time at the Deep Bay Cove. The water was like glass and the lake was perfect for floaties and water toys. We played in the water every day and fun was had by all, 3 yr olds up to 60. Rented kayaks and paddle boards one day in Lakeside and they were so much fun. It is a bit of a hike to the water but we looked at it as good exercise. The house was great with very large comfortable bedrooms. The living area was huge and open to the dining and all of us could relax together playing games and watching tv. We hope to come back!

The kitchen is on the small side but it just the excuse I needed to kick the kids out and let the adults cook in peace. The walk to the dock and lake is steep but the road is easily accessible. The water was clear and refreshing. We brought paddle boards and inflatable tubes, the kids & adults had a blast. The traffic noise was a little bothersome when sitting outside but we noticed it calmed down after the holiday weekend was over. We would definitely consider renting again.

Million Dollar View!

Perfect for ages 2-78
We had 12 family members stay here. There was more than enough room for everybody. The lake is beautiful and peaceful (steep incline hard for older people).
An hour from Glacier National Park and such a pretty drive. Would highly recommend!!

Good for large group
This property was very spacious, even larger than we needed for two people. We used it mostly for a workcation; the internet was shaky at times but for the most part it supported two full-time workers. I could imagine the kitchen being a little small if filled to capacity, but it was more than fine for us. It was a great change of scenery for us and I'd recommend it to others.

There are things you should know before you choose this place
First the bay that this property on is SPECIAL. Like truly magical. Feels very private and the water is almost always calm. This alone is a reason to choose it.
However you should know a few things that may affect you or not:
1. It is a steep (like would require 4 wheel drive to manage in a car) walk down to the lake. It was challenging for some of our older family and would be really hard if you had to carry an infant or had any physical disabilities. Even with able bodies we wanted to remember all our things so we didn’t have to do it a lot back and forth.
2. The Kitchen is TINY for the number of guests it hosts. As the other reviews stated there’s no food storage areas really either. What we did was to empty out the bookshelf near the kitchen and use it as a pantry (I recommend the owners just leave it empty so people can use it!)
3. The images on the site show an outside area that we were excited to use but it’s not as we expected at all. The table and chairs are right in front of where you park your car and it really just feels like hanging out in the driveway. There is no real outdoor space by the house.
4. We got a lot of bites IN the house. Not sure what it was from, we couldn’t see any mosquitos or anything in the house but it was real bad. So bring bug spray.
5. The WiFi when we were there was not adequate for working. The management definitely tried to help us by resetting the modem (it’s locked in a little room in the house so inaccessible to us) and they said they were going to upgrade the speed so maybe it won’t be an issue in the future but it was terrible for us as we were needing to conduct some business while there.
If these things aren’t deal breakers for you then I would highly recommend the space. It slept us all comfortably, the location is amazing and we had a blast.

Nice, Private Location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The location felt very private and was a nice place to get away from the crowds. The bay is protected from the rough water on Flathead and is a great place to swim.

Family reunion
We had a great time with all our family. Age range between 6 months to 71 years, 16 of us! (A few littles). Great space for a big group. Plenty of room to hang out in house, beds for all, and the water/bay and dock was great!! Lots of fun lake time. The grassy area above dock was fun for lawn games!
Dock could use a little tlc and ladder repair but overall was great!
Used the boat slip which was Great as we brought a boat. The walk up/ down from that was very steep, good work out! The walk down to sun dock was a bit steep too but is a space to drive down which worked well for the grandparents!

Perfect stay
Our family had a wonderful time at the house! The location was great and we had the cove to ourselves! The kids ( grandkids ) enjoyed the upstairs room with plenty of twin beds. We will come back for sure!

Good - 3-1/2 stars. Kitchen poorly equipped, dock unsafe - ladder from water about to fall off. Property worn, needs attention.
Enjoyed being able to go into lake many times while we were there. Quiet location in a isolated cove, nice view from cabin.
