This was our 10th year staying at this house and we completely enjoyed it as usual. The house is simple and has simple amenities, but that is what makes it so awesome. You can't beat a better location.

We recently spent a week at this charming, vintage cottage with our two year old grandson. The beach and location could not be beat! He loved it and so did we. The living room can be opened up to the screened in porch by a set of French doors, making you feel as if you're on the beach even when you're inside. The beach itself was beautiful, quiet and so clean. The owner was very helpful and prompt in answering any questions. We will definitely consider a return to this perfect spot!

We did BBQ and ate all meals on the beachfront porch. Brought my Paddleboard and my 2 little dogs. They loved sitting on both porches and walking in the safe neighborhood, which is very pet friendly. Water and beach are very clean, and not crowded. Yet close to the other beaches that have a more active scene. I took a video of the beach w/ sound of the waves to remind myself of my wonderful vacation. Don't hesitate, just rent it! You deserve this experience.

Relaxing, beautiful, calming....this beach cottage has a wonderful spirit and beautiful views directly to the beach + it is in a nicely maintained and quiet community. We spent hours and hours on the screened porch and beach during the day and enjoyed the stars as well as the fireplace at night. You can hear the waves from the upper front bedroom. Admittedly we were blessed with perfect weather, but we would have loved it regardless. My husband and I with our dog stayed for a week, joined by our son/daughter-in-law and our daughter and her boyfriend for part of the time. Everyone was very comfortable and loved the cottage. I loved the paintings on display - possibly work of a prior owner (?), and pretty good paintings BTW, and some of the family knick-knacks....gives you a sense of being connected with that past. Kathy was communicative and very pleasant to work with. We would love to visit again.

This spacious home was exactly what my family and I needed before the kids head back to school. Being able to wake up every morning right on the beach was the serenity I needed before the hustle and bustle of school and sports begins! You absolutely cannot beat the location and the view. It was such a relaxing vacation for me - and that's with 3 children in tow!! It was the first vacation we took our puppy with us so that was a plus. We rented kayaks down the street, visited Old Saybrook and Niantic for shops and ice cream. We hope to book again next year!! Kathy was very accommodating and easy to work with! Thank you!

This place is awesome! Relax on the front porch overlooking the beautifully maintained beach while listening to the sound of gentle waves, watch your kids on the beach from inside the house, take a swim in roped-off swim area, walk along the beach or in the neighborhood, cook and bake in the large kitchen, eat inside or on one of the porches overlooking the water, enjoy cable TV and internet access, visit sites in the area, play in the large side yard, and sleep in one of four bedrooms or use the sofabeds in the living room. This is a great place for a vacation!

We took our family here for a beach vacation in July. It was perfect! Being right on the beach was amazing both for the view and for making it easy to be at the beach with four little ones. The kids loved playing in the sand, splashing in the water and looking for critters in the tide pools. We also took several day trips to Niantic (great Children's Museum), Essex and the surrounding area. The house accommodated us easily and there was plenty of room for guests. I would definitely recommend this home to other couples, families or friends that want to get away to a beautiful beach.
