Great location for walks and beaches, close to shops and pubs/restaurants, we found this dog friendly cottage ideal for our September holiday. We had two large dogs with us and the cottage comfortably accommodated them and 4 adults.

We enjoyed another great holiday at this cottage.
We enjoyed another great holiday at this cottage. The location is great if you want to do a good deal of walking, and for driving to other locations. The village pubs are friendly and serve good food, as does the fish and chip shop.
The accommodation is spacious but could do with some upgrades to the lighting throughout as it is currently poorly lit.

Great position for dog walking straight from the front door.
Great position for dog walking straight from the front door. Village lovely with good pubs but especially The Rose and Crown, ultra dog friendly and the quiz night every Tuesday was great fun. The kitchen at Kittiwake could do with an update and the downstairs on suite could do with an overhaul as well but other than those two niggles I would book this cottage again. Easy access to the coast from the cottage. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place with great views.
Beautiful place with great views. Very poor phone reception in the cottage but that is not the owners fault. Most places within easy reach. Lots of places to eat in the village. Fairly well, stocked co_op.
Would have been nice to have a couple of side tables in the cottage. Sofas were ok but too soft and difficult to get out of due to arthritis. Altogether a lovely place to stay.

Location of accommodation is brilliant, walks to the coast just outside door.
Location of accommodation is brilliant, walks to the coast just outside door. The living area is large and the tiled floors are ideal for dogs, there are plenty of toilets and with 3 bathrooms no queuing in the morning. Only downside was the uncomfortable furniture, settees and armchairs had no support, also down stairs en-suite had mouldy shower and leaking toilet.

We enjoyed staying at Kittiwake.
We enjoyed staying at Kittiwake., It was quiet and convenient. Lovely walk to the cliffs from the front door.
Only bad thing was the noisy floorboards upstairs and we could hear the next door cottage at night too.

Excellent position on edge of Flamborough with lovely walk to cliffs and access to Co-op and restaurants etc.
Barn conversion generally good but lack of sound proofing between the various bedrooms - kept some of my party awake. Equipment adequate but not generous eg just enough tea spoons.
Very large sitting room - pleasant.

Great location.
Great location. The cottage has plenty of room for large parties of people. Its on the edge of Flamborough but is close to the local amenities including restaurants. Kittiwake House is also close to a foot path that leads down to the sea. We were very lucky with the weather and had a good time, it's a nice area to explore.

With a few tweaks here and there this property could be so much better.
With a few tweaks here and there this property could be so much better. It's quiet, nice and warm, and has plenty of hot water. Bedding was clean, and nice soft towels. Reasonably well equiped with most things that you would need for a weeks self catering holiday. Great location for walkers. What lets it down most of all is the age of the furniture, beds and bedding, which are in need of updating since the barns were converted in 2002/3. The shower over the bath was almost impossible to turn off! A few of the windows to the property did not open. The floor in the dining/sitting room was filthy and had not been mopped. A rug perhaps and a nest of tables would have been nice! Having said this, we did enjoy our week here, and would probably return some time in the future.

The cottage is in an excellent location and a good size for our party of 6. The living area was quite comfortable but a few rugs on the floor and some small tables to put drinks etc on would be a big inprovement.
For the price paid we would have expected a few more toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets and soap dispensers. These are features we normally expect when renting holiday cottages. Maybe this is just a feature of East Yorkshire!
The owner is a very pleasant lady who responded very quickly when we had a problem with an iron.
