This was just the relaxing getaway we needed! It was wonderful to be able to hike right from the house. There was also lots of beautiful hiking a short drive away. The house had everything we needed in order to slow down and just “be”. It was so cozy and made you feel right at home!

My husband and I spent a weekend hiking at New River Gorge NP for his 50th birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Robin's Hood. The cabin is very charming... loved all the art, plants, books, photos, candles and more! It's an adorable, comfortable place in a private setting surrounded by beautiful trees. We would definitely book again. Only con I feel I should mention is the shower is not meant for tall people. If you are over 5'9" you will probably have to duck while in the shower. My 6' husband could not stand up straight. Not a deal breaker for us for a couple days, but some might not appreciate it. Otherwise, Robin's Hood is perfection!

We enjoyed the scenic drives and hikes in the New River National Park area that were even more enjoyable due to the beautiful fall colors and weather. Having the cozy cabin to come back to in the evenings to relax was a bonus.

Everything was perfect. The hosts do a great job of making the cabin comfortable and inviting. The cabin itself was clean, well stocked and quaint. There was a hiking trail right across the road and the fall foliage was absolutely beautiful.
We travelled for bridge day and thoroughly enjoyed it but wish we could have stayed longer to explore even more.
Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable and eclectic cabin. The kids were overjoyed to play and read books in the loft. We really enjoyed the unique decor throughout the cabin. Lovely touches around each corner. The property is wooded and peaceful. Great place to have a fire and relax while the kids made s’mores. We would recommend this property and would love to return sometime.

The property is small but very well laid out. Interior is charming. Spacious outside area. The cabin is private and secluded from neighbors but close to town and area attractions. Very enjoyable stay. Will definitely return for another visit.

We had a great stay at the Robin's Hood Cabin. The cabin is tucked away in the woods and it had everything we needed for our West Virginia adventures. The hosts were very accommodating especially given a mistake that we made on our reservation.

We had a great time and your lovely home helped to make the trip fun and memorable!! Thank you so much.

THE ONLY ISSUES WE'RE THAT WHEN IT WAS RAINING, THE ROOF LEAKED BEHIND THE TABLE BY THE FLOWERED CHAIR WITH THE OTTOMAN. THE STEPS UP TO THE DECK WERE VERY SLICK WHEN IT RAINED.

We needed a quiet get-away and this property was perfect. We were continuously looking at the clever design and charming decorating. Fayetteville WV is a fun place to stay and you have to visit the New River Gorge national Park just a few minutes away.

Beautiful. Charming. Whimsical. Well appointed. This cabin was all these things and more! Do not hesitate to book this lovely little cabin. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The fire pit was stocked with wood for a wonderful bonfire at the end of a long day of hiking. Perfection!

Nice wooded surroundings with sense of privacy. Very cute exterior with outside seating and lovely plants. Great curb appeal, and the interior looks like it was decorated by an interior designer. Immaculate. Most of the nearby homes are very modest. Small kitchen, but it has all the essentials and there is separate room for large dining and cozy sitting area with a Smart TV with Samsung TV+; no cableTV, but can log in on tv to get your own streaming services. Wouldn’t recommend more than 5 adults (2 Q beds and 1 day bed) or a family of 5. The day bed is in a loft with steep steps, so a child using it would need to be old enough to be safe. The mattresses, bedding, and towels are top quality. The space is compact so better suited to accommodate plans to enjoy the surrounding area versus group activities at home. Nothing is within walking distance; grocery store is about 2.5 miles away. Very close to the National Park Visitors Center. We definitely would come back!

We had a fantastic time as a family of four. The prepped campfire site made s’more’s a breeze, and we were super close to the rafting company. We had a great time! We’ll be back!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Robin's Hood cabin! It's a lovely and very clean space - very calming and inviting. A couple things to note, although it's super easy to get into town, its a bit of a long walk and shower is not for anyone who is on the tall side - my 5ft 9in child and 6ft 4in husband were too tall for it. The fire pit and the hike just across from the driveway were big perks! It's a great place to stay and explore the area. All the books and pamphlets were super helpful and informative. Thank you for a great stay.

We visited with our young kids and had a great time at the cabin. It was small, which we knew it would be, but it didn't hamper our stay. The kids loved the loft area and we enjoyed being able to explore the trails nearby and enjoyed using the fire pit. It was a little hard for us to find things to do in the area with young kids so mostly hiked and just enjoyed the cabin. The owners were very responsive and overall it was a pleasant experience.

My wife and I stayed for a week for our first visit to the area, and this cabin fit our needs perfectly. While it is on the back end of a neighborhood, it still is and feels quite secluded - the comfort, amenities, and hospitality of Sheila and Charlie are well worth it.
We cooked many meals in the well-appointed kitchen, put both the grill shed and firepit to use (kindling and firewood were available upon arrival), enjoyed coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening on the front deck. Beds were very comfortable (good sleep is no small deal when traveling!) and we even did a load of laundry given our extended stay.
Being first timers to the area, the location was ideal - as stated above, we felt secluded, yet were very close to any of our outings - trails, bridge, rafting, breweries, restaurants, shopping - were all anywhere between the end of the driveway to a 5 to 15 minute drive.
Only minor quibble was intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity, but we received immediate response from Shelia and Charlie on how to best address via re-setting the router. We also found this to be an issue with the area in general, but this is also a beautiful place to unplug anyway!
I highly recommend Robins Hood Cabin as a combination of comfort and getting away from it all.

Our family had a lovely stay at the cabin. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy and it was only a few minutes drive to some of the hiking trails in the area.

Overall this was a great stay! The check in process was great and the cabin was super cozy! Maybe a little too cozy even. My husband is 6’ 4” and did have a little trouble with the lower ceilings, especially in the shower. The rest of the cabin was so great though, he didn’t mind it much. I will say I wish it were “further out” from all the houses. The surrounding wooded area does make it seem that way though. The recommendation in the guest book for a local brewery owned by their son was a nice touch and honestly one of our favorite places there! I would recommend staying here!

Cabin was very clean and quaint. The trail next to the cabin is very nice. We did have to call and ask about the heat, host was very responsive. Lots of books on hiking trails. Great time!

Based on previous reviews, my husband and I chose to stay at Robin's Hood and we were not disappointed.
Reasons to stay here:
-Very convenient to Fayetteville, the bridge, hiking trails.
-Trail head across from driveway.
-The mattresses are comfortable.
-Warm duvet & quilt during our unseasonably cold stay.
-Bedrooms heat quickly (did I say it was cold?).
-Lots of nice towels in the bedroom closet.
-Comfy chairs near fireplace perfect for wine & a good book.
-Large dining table for eating, working, playing games.
-Cuisinart coffee maker and toaster oven.
-Colorful Fiestaware!
-Lots of information about the area and restaurants. Loved the trail guide!
-Reading glasses, walking sticks. & slippers!
Reasons you may not want to choose this cabin:
-As others have stated, the ceiling in the bathroom is low. A cute Duck sign is at the door to one of the bedrooms for good reason.
-If you want to cook complex meals and need lots of counter space, you may need to move your prep out to the dining table.
Overall, we can highly recommend Robin's Hood.

We loved staying here. The location was perfect. Very secluded and quiet yet so close to everything. The cabin itself was very cozy and very comfortable. The outside features are an added bonus area. After a day of exploring, it was really nice to come back and cook dinner and relax. One evening we grilled out and used the fire pit. Perfect way to unwind. We were here for Bridge Day. Being able to walk across the bridge was incredible. Those views!! Also did the catwalk tour underneath the bridge. A must. Also do the loop around the bridge that takes you to the bottom. We hike Long Point Triail, which was recommended by the owners. Great trail with an amazing view of the bridge. Also went to Babcock State Park. Some great trails there as well. The Grist Mill was a site to see. Communication with the owners was awesome. We arrived at night, so their directions were on point.
I would stay here again and strongly recommend it. Thanks for a wonderful stay. The Milwaukee Girls
