Family Friendly Cabin on the River - Perfect for Small Families!
About this house rental
Nestled in Three Rivers, this attractive house for $424 per night is a great option for your next break. ***Water levels are SEASONAL and vary every year. Please refer to river photos of "low season" to see how this look and if it will work for you - Please inquire on river status BEFORE booking this location if the water levels are important to you.**** This property gives you plenty of privacy to enjoy the sounds of the river rolling on by at "Rolling River Ranch"! This cabin is only three miles from town but it feels like your hours away from the city. We are less than 10 miles from the Sequoia National Park entrance. There is a large wrap around screened in porch that provides a great place to sit at night to protect you from those pesky flying bugs or from to much sunshine during the day. The yard is large and flat with easy access to the river or even a great place for Frisbee or a little football or softball throwing. Sip on a glass of wine, have a BBQ, swim in the river, read a book, do anything you want to enjoy your vacation.......Well, almost anything! The river is SEASONAL and water levels do change throughout the summer, so be sure to look at the various photos that show different levels throughout the year. The stars are amazing! Don't forget to look up! Your not in the city anymore.... The cabin has a little touch of home mixed with the "cabin in the woods" feel. This is a two bedroom and one bath cabin that also offers a pull out sofa couch for an additional two guests. If the sofa couch isn't for you, just ask for the queen size air mattress, we always keep one handy. We offer window A/C units for the bedrooms and a swamp cooler for the living room and kitchen areas. This location is not forced A/C. We offer space heaters for the bedrooms in colder months and a propane fireplace to heat the living room and kitchen areas. We do offer WiFi at this location but it is NOT DSL and tends to be a little slower than in the big city, but it is available for you to use! We also do not offer a phone line. If your cell phone is not AT&T then you will not have cell service. Please keep these things in mind for your comfort levels. If you have any questions about this location please contact us BEFORE booking.

Our family loved the cabin location. Our favourite part was hanging out near the river. Its very close to the sequoia part entrance. Beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The kitchen was also well stocked with utensils and pans. The only downside we felt was that there were no curtains inside the cabin and the curtains inside the bedrooms were very thin. We came in a bit late the night before our stay and were hoping to rest a bit but due to the thin curtains we woke up pretty much at sunrise. Also, at night the lack of.curtains made us feel unsafe even though the cabin was in an isolated spot. There are exterior lights on the cabin and there were some light fixtures in the driveway but the driveway lights were not working. I would suggest having some lights installed or have the existing lights fixed

We had a fabulous time, once again. Since last time we were there, our kids kept asking to go back to the house with the river. It’s such a great location: our kids had a great time splashing, throwing rocks and playing with the sand, etc. You need to be careful with the river especially with all the bad weather we had in the region this year, it’s fast. But by the house there are areas where it runs slower that are very enjoyable. There are bigger rocks that reach into the river where you can sunbathe on. The house is cozy, spacious, has all we need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the barbecue, relaxing on the patio overlooking the river, and the short drive to hiking spots in sequoia national park.

Great location on river. Older home needs some upgrades but clean! Outdoor area and features could use attention with more options to enjoy the spectacular river.

Description of property is accurate. Right on the river with a great back patio to sit on and relax. House is a few miles out of Three Rivers, but an easy trip back into town with quick access into Sequoia NP. This isn't the fanciest place, but it's comfortable and clean. It's a country property, so don't expect you won't see bugs outside. Great spot for a family.

We loved our stay!!
Not a lot of bells and whistles for a pre-teen, but he needed to spend more time in nature anyway. Aside from the large tree that has fallen at some point and subsequently blocked the walkway and perfect views, everything was great. Three Rivers has lots to offer. Enjoy!

The cabin was clean, stocked with ample pillows and blankets, close to Sequoias, and my kids absolutely loved playing in the creek out back! I would definitely stay here again!

We couldn’t have ask for anything more. Ideal location for a jumping off spot to Sequoia. You’re remote but not totally isolated so they city slicker mindset in our family still felt safe. Sitting in the enclosed patio just listening to the stream was tremendously therapeutic; however, the water is ice cold, but then again our trip was in mid April.
The house itself has everything you need…all you need to bring is the food you planning on cooking.
The internet is decent enough to browse websites but not robust enough to stream video…which was fine for us as we wanted to reduce our screentime anyway. If you are really hellbent on binging the latest show…the AT&T cell service was good enough to stream…tho one would need to be aware of their data usage.
One odd quirk but something that doesn’t warrant any ding to this place’s excellent rating is trying to figure out which light switch controls which light (indoor and outdoor) can be like trying to solve a sudoku puzzle.
Otherwise…this was a wonderful and charming place…perfect for a family with one or two small kids. They say you can have up to six people here but with only 1 small bathroom…I’d be inclined to say 4 is the logical max

Overall a fabulous place. If renting during late fall or winter, be prepared to bundle up inside the house. Space heaters provided only heat a small area. Also would have been helpful to have more instructions on how things like fireplace works. We were there 5 days before accidently found that fan for fireplace needed to be plugged in. Also had problem with gate lock. Had to be pulled really hard to open.

Great location on the river. Had a group park by the bridge and sneak through the fence and No Trespassing sign to hang out on the river--get your chair or towel out there early. Other than that, clean, quiet, and very relaxing. The ladies of Sequoia Vacation Rentals are very responsive and a delight to communicate with.

The river behind the house was spectacular. The dub room was a perfect place to sip coffee in the morning while observing the wildlife around the river. I saw a fox jumping from rock to rock there!

My whole family had a great vacation here. The river in front of the house was super fun to swim and play in. Even though we are a family of six we fit nicely in the house. Everything was clean and well stocked. We want to come back!

fantastic location - great for couples or families
If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the screened porch in the mornings and watching the various birds on the property. Watching family of partridges and their parenting was a special delight. The kids had a blast playing in the creek that runs by the property. I could easily watch them from the kitchen window or while relaxing on the porch. I joined them myself one afternoon and we all had a great time skipping rocks, catching tadpoles, and checking out small fish with our goggles. At night, the sky is dark enough that you can make out the Milky Way. We were lucky enough to catch a meteor shower! The house itself has a remodeled kitchen but the rest of the house reminds me of the "craftsman style". It was very warm and welcoming. The picture windows were wonderful with lots of natural night. Coming from the suburbs where we close the blinds at night, it did take a day or so to get used to not being able to cover the windows at night in the living room and kitchen. There are no other houses around so there was privacy, it just took getting used to. If you like to wind down with some TV in the evenings, there is a good size TV in the living room with a relatively large stack of DVDs; mostly older movies but a good variety so plenty to keep you entertained. If you are into high tech and bring your own portable media player along, be aware that the TV is vintage enough that it may not have the interface you need. The beds were all comfortable including the sofa bed. Grocery store is relatively close as are a few places to eat. If you are renting to go to the national park, be aware that it's still an hour drive to the main visitor center due to the mountain roads. This is a great house with a great location. However, be aware that you may have more bugs in the house than you are used to because the house is not well sealed nor used enough for this to be 100% under control. It was not a big deal for our family and nothing that freaked us out but it was more than what I would tolerate if this was my permanent home. Don't let this keep you away though. I just wanted to put this out there since some people have a very low tolerance for anything non-sterile. This is a charming house with lots to appreciate right on the property...especially the partridge family.

Charming rustic home on the North Fork Kaweah
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. 2 couples fit perfectly. The screened porch was great for bug-free happy hour and morning coffee. The beautiful large flat rocks in the creek were very nice for afternoon lounging after returning from hiking. The place looks like it was originally built in the 1930's, and although upgraded over the years, still had a lot of the original authentic feel. The large property provided privacy and quiet, exactly as advertised. Only one bathroom, so best with one family or close friends.

Great location
Located 50 feet from the river, fairly secluded. Very nice porch overlooking the river. Comfortable cabin but No cable TV. Only gave 3 stars because of the no cable/ satellite TV service provided.

Tranquility by the river
Although the summer weather was triple digit, we were comfortable at Rolling River Ranch. During the day we enjoyed the drive into the Sequoia park area and up towards Mineral King, seeing the beautiful mountain vistas. In the evening we loved sitting in the screened porch, listening to the river and looking at the beautiful night sky. The beds and the furniture were very comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We will look forward to staying here again on our next visit.
