We needed to check in early and Ignacio was there to let us in right away. He was very helpful showing us around and even dropped off supplies for the grill afterwards. It is perfectly located in between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, and the bus is within a couple minutes walk from the house. Taxi and Uber were also available after the bus was done for the day. The little time we spent at the house was very pleasant and peaceful. We were visited by the neighbors dog Mila a couple times, and we saw lots of monkeys, lizards, and colorful birds while hanging out by the pool. The AC was great after a long day at the beach.

This property is incredible. The house is beautiful and the location is private and quiet. We had amazing daily visits from the local wildlife. We had squirrel monkeys playing in the trees and sloths and iguanas as well. We heard and saw toucans and scarlet macaws on a regular basis. It is just a few minutes drive to some amazing beaches and restaurants. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the area.

Ignacio meet us at the house, he was very friendly, and gave us a quick, brief rundown on all the keys. He also had a cab scheduled for us the next day. Casa Luna is a great little house with a open layout. All three bedrooms have thier own bathroom. It was clean and tidy. The beds were a little hard for me, but perfect for my father in law. The only actually bad thing that I can put about the house is the water feature in the middle of the house. One of my friends and I both stubbed our toes on it going to the kitchen at night (OUCH!). I ended up putting a couch cushion in front of it. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

First, we tried to check in at 2 which is what VRBO stated. We got to Quepos and hung out for an hour after finding out that check in was not until 3. We get to the house at 3 and they are working on a dryer that is broken (a dryer that is locked up that we wouldn't be able to use anyway) and we ended up waiting to get in until 4. With a long day of travel with two kids, let's just say I was not happy. The beds were very hard, so be prepared for that. It needs a new paint job in most rooms, as the paint is peeling off the walls. The pros are that if you rent a car, (even if you don't) you are super close to everything. Grocery stores, the national park, all the restaurants, etc. The back yard was the only reason I will give it 4 stars. We loved the pool and seeing all of the wildlife. The garage would have been a nice thing, but we really felt safe in the tucked away neighborhood and didn't feel the need to park our rental there. Would highly recommend one night at Ronny's new place which is right down the road. Semi-fancy and got great surf and turn for the whole family at such a great price.

We absolutely ADORED our stay at this property!
It was more than spacious enough for our family of five, a fully equipped kitchen, private garage, but best of all, pool and backyard that literally felt like we were in the rainforest.
Early morning coffee was an absolute treat watching scarlet macaws flying around, capuchin monkeys flying through the trees, and we even had a surprise, up close encounter with a troop of squirrel monkeys. The wildlife we enjoyed at this villa gave us memories we will treasure for a long time to come!!
I would love to see an update to some of the outside soft furnishings (could use new parasols and cushions), and an update to bed linens. But the beds were comfy and we had absolutely everything we needed.
Orlando who checked us in was very helpful and checked in with us during the stay to make sure everything was ok, and the pool was cleaned a couple of times as well. We got a lovely welcome basket with goodies that was a very nice touch.
All in all, we loved our stay and would recommend and return.

Spacious and close to Manuel Antonio
Fantastic location! So much fun to watch iguanas, monkeys, and macaws from the back yard/pool. The interior is a bit dimly lit and the bedding is a bit worn, but overall a nice place.

Beautiful home
The house was exactly what we thought it would be(minus the teak pool deck). It is very spacious and accommodating. All bedrooms were of good size and kitchen and living area are very roomy. The pool was a added plus after our adventures around Costa. The road that leads to the house is a bit rough but after your first time it becomes easier. The garage is great for parking your car for the extra security. We felt safe and secure in the home and felt the same when we went out. Orlando the Property Manager was fairly easy to get a hold of and easy to communicate with when you did. We had a car and feel you need one to get back and forth. Taxis was no problem to get, but the short walk to the bus isn’t the easiest of walks if not not used to bumpy mountain roads. Plenty of restaurants and such within a 5 minute ride

Wonderful house, great location!
We spent 7 wonderful days at Casa Luna. The house suited our two families great - 1 family of 2 adults and 3 kids (16,15,11) and another with 2 adults and a 3 year old) each room had its own bathroom and full closets which was ideal for us. The pool was perfect and cleaned twice during our stay. A very nice housekeeper also came once and did a full refresh. Monkeys visited the house and macaws circled almost daily, every morning at daylight or dusk. The house is situated on a lovely little side road between bustling Manuel Antonio and Quepos. We had a rental car but there are lots of taxis and bus’ frequently passing by. Orlando and Christina were polite, easy to communicate with, responsive and super friendly hosts.
We will definitely return to this house in the future!

Beautiful property in the perfect location!
We just returned from Costa Rica and are ready to go back! This house was perfect for our family of five. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The house sits in between Quepos and Manuel Antonio in a quiet neighborhood. Monkeys went through the back yard one day! I would recommend a car as previous reviewers have said. We did ziplining, toured the National Park (hire a guide), did a catamaran tour and spent plenty of time relaxing on the beach. Christina and Orlando were great to work with and answered all of questions. We would absolutely book this property again.

Great Location - Jungle Home
We stayed at the this property with our 3 children (7, 9, and 11). It was centrally located between MA Beach and Quepos downtown. The neighborhood it's settled is very quiet - aside from the neighborhood dogs at night getting into it. I would recommend renting a car, but you can easily take taxis and almost every where seems to deliver for a small fee (even groceries). The house is safe and secure.
The property itself is clean and the cleaning staff that comes throughout your stay - give it a nice "freshen up". They do not change the sheets through a 12-day stay though.
There are enough pool/beach towels and separate bathing towels - which is very nice! The pool is the right size to take a dip & cool down.
The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking pans, bowls, utensils etc. You will have to stock all your own condiments to sugar, ketchup, etc. The refidge comes completely empty. The ice machine in the freezer is great!
A gas grill is provided with gas! Washer machine and dryer is NOT included in the rental. The cleaning staff does offer for a small fee to do your laundry.
We had a small issues with cockroaches (bugs are to be excepted in the jungle), but the staff was there to take care of our issues immediately.
Overall, we had a great stay at this property! And hope to return!

Our family loved Casa Luna!
Beautiful house, the pool was wonderful and the home was perfect for our family trip! Well located near the national park and beaches. Orlando and Os were very kind and helpful hosts!

Excellent facility in a very quiet setting
We are senior citizens and were looking for a very quiet location. We found it here. The home is large and very well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the visits from the monkeys who seemed as interested in us as we were in them. Os, the manager, was very helpful and attentive. At 85 years old I often forget what I have already been told but Os was patient to be sure I understood. We spent a relaxing ten days unwinding. Taxi to town is inexpensive. We have been to Quepos many times but this is our favorite so far. Enjoy the pool.... It's ALL yours.

Clean spacious and comfortable.
The caretaker Os was well informed, friendly and efficient. We were entertained by Macaws, squirrel monkeys, white face and howlers. The pool was so nice to refresh in after excursions. Would recommend this to friends.

Great for all travellers
Arrived after week in Tamarindo and was a pleasant change from the touristy atmosphere there. Os met us to nicely air conditioned house. Nice open plan with 3 spacious bedrooms each with own on-suite. Kitchen had everything you needed and gift basket was nice touch. Pool and outdoor area very nice. Locking garage with door opener. Quite a bit of wildlife and fruit trees on property. Highlight was seeing a sloth crossing the gravel road as we were leaving the property. Spent several hours with Os and he was very accomodating and interesting to talk to.

Good location to Manuel Antonio, little quirks
For our first VRBO experience, we booked about a month prior to our stay so were a bit limited with our options & overpaid in comparison to properties booked well in advance.
The good:
3 bedrooms with 5 beds/ 3 BA (w/towels & soap)
Fairly well equipped kitchen w/most dishes/pots needed
Air conditioning
Wifi
Location to MA (with rental car)
Garage for car
Secure - great locks & bars throughout
Concierge responsive & helpful
Wildlife (double edged sword) Monkeys & iguanas
Water pressure, hot water availability, laundry ability, grill, pool, clean
The not so good:
King bed in master is hard so didn't sleep so well.
Although each room has an air conditioner, the windows at the top of the main room remained open 24/7 so it was just "cool" inside. We kept the doors to the bedrooms shut to try to retain some of the cooler air in them.
Howler monkeys passed through the back forest daily. However, they also passed through ~ 4am and screamed at each other seemingly right outside our windows so were awoken each morning. They were nice & cute to view passing through as we lounged in the pool in the afternoon but needless to say annoying at 4am.
The knobs weren't readable on the stove so had to guess temp
Microwave was broken
Pool light broken so didn't feel comfortable swimming after dark (~6:30pm)
Neighbor's dog roaming the house exterior, laying on lounge chairs, & barking to get in the sliding door
The only contact with the owner was to make payment, then Ellie & Oz were super helpful onsite from arrival, to helping with restaurant/attractions/grocery/travel information & looking into the inconveniences. I wouldn't necessarily have a problem staying here again as overall it was adequate, but in comparison to the price paid it wasn't quite up to par.

Awesome house in paradise
Casa Luna was the perfect ending to a fantastic trip to Costa Rica. We drove from the Arenal area with a big desire to make it to the beach and relax. We called Elizabeth (house manager) from Jacos and she greeted us with an immaculate house at the perfect temperature (specially nice after a 4 hour drive). Our kids immediately jumped to the pool while Elizabeth and Os welcome us with a gift basket and a big smile. It almost felt as if our best friends were welcoming to paradise. The house is very spacious with a big modern open area. There are 3 big bedrooms. We were 2 families with 4 kids...We put all kids on one bedroom while each of the couples got a bedroom. I won the coin toss so we got the master bedroom (huge with a sliding door to the pool area). The house never felt crowded. Elizabeth and Os gave us excellent details on where to eat, where to catch the bus (2 blocks), details about the park (a must) and other details that became handy during our 4 day stay in Manuel Antonio. The house is in awesome conditions. The pool feels perfect after a day at the beach. The kitchen has all the amenities that you need. Or, You can just walk 2-3 blocks to have a nice steak or some sea food (Lagartos restaurant and some others).
Here is a list of things you might like:
- Only 12 minutes to the Manuel Antonio park and main beach riding on the bus
- Quiet location and only 5 min walk to the main road where you can catch the bus (315 Colones = 0.6USDlls)
- Very close to restaurants (Lagartos was our favorite) but we grabbed some snacks at some other places. We cooked breakfasts and saved for nice dinners.
- Elizabeth and Os are always available for anything you might need.
- The house has everything you need. There is a bathroom and AC unit on each bedroom
- We saw a sloth with its baby the first morning. The rest of the days we saw 3 types of monkeys and and some iguanas and frogs. There is access to the tree corridor in the backyard. Get up, get your coffee and watch the animals in the morning.
- You must visit the Manuel Antonio park. Bring your swim suit. The beaches are beautiful.
WE WANT TO COME BACK!!!

wanna come back
We were group of 6 people and stayed at Casa Luna for 4 nights. If we knew how great the place is we would definitely book it for longer. The house is just amazing! The rooms are very spacious and you are well equipped with everything. We loved staying outside at the pool side watching monkeys, iguanas and parrots in the jungle. One day even a sloth came and stayed on the tree closest to the house.
On our arrival Os was waiting for us with a welcome package. He was one of the friendliest people we met during our trip and helped us a lot with everything we needed. We even had a few beers together and Os was trying to teach us some Spanish :) What a champ..
Both beach and Quepos town are close to the place, approximately 5 mins by bus coming every 15 minutes. The beach was stunning and we loved it there. But there are many other things and places to love in Manuel Antonio. We went to a canopy tour (Os arranged it for us) and it was great. It took almost the whole day (cost 75$) and could see the jungle with everything what belongs to it from a different perspective. Unfortunately we did not have more time to go for some other trips in MA.
We would strongly recommend a stay at Casa Luna. The place is in a quite location surrounded by jungle and few other houses. It is perfect for both families and groups of all ages. Thank you Christina for letting us stay there! And thank you Os for your help and company! Wish I could come back one day!
